The Langlois area has been home to my family for 5 generations. We purchased this property 11 years ago. I was a newly retired middle school principal, and fell in love with the challenge of bringing life to this historic old building. I enjoy remodeling and decorating and having several suites in the building was like having multiple mini-houses for me to decorate!!!
My two sons, Joe, (former F16 pilot in the Air Force) and Jake (former conciege at the Venetian in Las Vegas) assist me as needed. Joe raises grass fed cattle and cranberries at our family ranch on the Sixes River. Son Jacob owns the Langlois Market and The Spoon (restaurant), located just a few blocks away.
Sue Sweet purchased this condo in 2005
I wanted to provide others with a comfortable, fun place to stay while they experience the special beauty and character of this part of the world my family calls home. The building that houses Piercy Suites, was constructed in 1953 and has been home to an electric store, Langlois community library, and two antiques stores. I named the building after my father, Piercy Sweet, and the garden after my mother. My parents lived for many years on Floras Lake (3 miles away), where their house was always open to others. They both loved to garden and entertain. I would like to think their love of life and joy of hospitality lives on at Piercys!
Many of our guests return each year. I love reading the comments they write in our guest book. We frequently receive compliments for our comfortable beds, our attention to detail, the comfort of relaxing and barbequing on the deck. They appreciate the central location, within easy distance of beaches, lakes, rivers, hiking trails, golf courses, windsurfing, fine dining, etc. They also enjoy the old-fashioned friendliness of our little town.
Piercy Suites is located within walking distance of a local diner, The Spoon, that features local foods and is open daily for breakfast and lunch...dinners Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The Langlois Market, famous for its hot dogs, is two blocks away and features a great deli and assortment of local and organic foods.
I had another great stay at Piercy Suites, this time 10 days!!
The weather was great, the town of Langlois is great, and the hiking was phenomenal. As always, the suite had everything I needed in the kitchen, very clean, very well kept.
Looking forward to next year
Just finished another great week at the Piercy Suites, last year was a week in the Casita, this year the Chateau.
The apartment was very well stocked as it was last year, everything from Blender to a Toaster. Not once did I have a "oh I should have brought this" moment. I should mention, even though you can stay just a few nights, both times I've stayed there have been folks in the other suites staying for months at a time while they work in the area...that's how comfortable and well equipped the suites are.
The Casita last year was more sheltered from road noise, but nothing that would stop me from renting the Chateau again. The Chateau did have a more roomy bathroom and shower stall which was nice.
Langlois Market (5 stars, amazing selection for a small town market)
The spoon restaurant (I will eat there next time, I only heard good things, but just didn't get to it.)
Thanks Sue, I'll be back next year if not sooner :-) Tell Roy hello, he was a great neighbor.

I just finished a weeks stay in the Casita suite. It was my first time using VRBO and I had a great experience. The suite was super clean and well equiped, and even though the building is on the coast hwy, the Casita suite is upstairs and in back making it very easy to sleep in, in the mornings.
Sue the owner is super easy going and helpful, if she isn't around Inga at the craft shop next door is very sweet and can help with any questions about local activities.
Quick access to Cape Blanco, Lake Floras, Bandon and Port Orford, along with 4 or 5 state parks. Langlois is a great base to do just about any outdoor activity from (hiking, sailboarding, kayaking, cycling, etc).
The Langlois market looks like a tiny stop and go market, but had everything from grass fed beef to produce, and is just a stones throw away.
ps. The free internet access for guest was quite good and streamed Netflix without a problem
I stayed at the Piercy Suites for 2 nights and hope to return again.
The unit has a well supplied kitchen and was very clean and comfortable, especially the bed!
Even though it is on a main street it is very quiet area and close to everything. There is a great deck that views out over the area and I loved the location. It was nice to walk to the library and the little grocery store.
What a sweet surprise on the southern Oregon coast! Piercy Suites is a delight - comfy, a great size and with owners whose work goes well above & beyond the norm to make the place extra-nice in many ways. We had a brief but wonderful stay. Sue took the time to answer my questions and make everything just perfect for our family.
Looking for a place to relax in southern Oregon? I'd DEFINITELY give Piercy Suites a double thumbs up!
We spent 3 nights in the Cabana. Comfortable, spacious, clean, and a short distance to Floras Lake where our daughter and friends were camping. The market is a also short distance away and had great sandwiches and ice cream. Sue is a delight - quick responsive communication and very accommodating. Highly recommend Piercy Suites to anyone needing a place to stay on the southern Oregon Coast.
Floras Lake, famous for kiteboarding and windsurfing, is located 5 minutes away. Lessons available. World famous Bandon Dunes 30 minutes away. Bandon Crossing Golf Course is 10 minutes away. Boat races, white water trips available on Rogue River, 30 minutes away.
