About the property

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

Location: Saint Augustine Beach, Atlantic Ocean, adjacent to historic Saint Augustine, (5 miles),the nations oldest city, (celebrating 450 years in 2015), and just two hours from Orlando and Disney World. Located on a wide unspoiled beach eight miles long. From this top floor unit there is a spectacular view of the ocean. You can relax on the large balcony and enjoy ocean breezes hearing the sounds of the surf. You can llie in bed and see the ocean

Accommodations: Non-Smoking Condo two bedrooms and two baths, master with queen, living room, kitchen, second bedroom with twin beds.

We bought this condominium for our own use and liked the area so much we live here. Our condominium overlooks the pools and the Atlantic Ocean (About 50 yards away),with direct access to the beach. You can walk miles both north and south on the beach. If you walk north about two miles you will come to a fishing pier. The white sandy beach is wide and slopes gradually to the Atlantic Ocean. Your view is from the fourth floor. (Elevators provided.)

One of our favorite pastimes is reading and watching the ocean from the living room, master bedroom, and balcony. (You can see and hear the sea from the master bed.) The balcony is accessed by sliding glass doors in the living room and master bedroom.

Every month is a good month at St. Augustine Beach. You can swim all year round. (Note only northerners do this.) But in November and December, the ocean is still warm. The Christmas lights in Saint Augustine in December are awsome.

If you tire of reading, walking, hiking, and watching, adjacent St. Augustine is filled with activity. A city of only 12,000, it is a delight to walk and observe. There is always something to do. It includes a one of the oldest complete forts, (Castillo De San Marcos), famous St. George Street, Potter's Wax Museum, Alligator Farm, Fountain of Youth, (for the elderly), Lightner Museum, San Sebastian Winery, sightseeing tours, including horse-drawn carriages, etc. and a variety of beautiful parks.

If you tire of sightseeing, you can eat at a different restaurant a day for months from the expensive to the fast foods such as Longhorn and Outback. Local shopping is within a mile. But if you desire serious shopping, visit over l00 discount stores in the area.

There are numerous 18 hole golf courses. Golfers will like World Golf Village with two 18 hole courses. If you want expensive, you can visit Sawgrass, about 35 minutes away, with its famous 17th hole. Local tennis courts are available and free.

So whatever your desire, a week, a month or longer, be our guest and we hope you have a store of happy memories to take home!

Exactly as promised

  • 4 of 5

The owners were great. Everything was arranged and set up for us, even to having wine and cheese for us on arrival. The condo was exactly as promised with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a generous living room-dining room combination. The kitchen was small, but perfect for our vacation snacks and drinks, as well as my husband's coffee.

There were beach chairs and an umbrella and a few toys for the kids to play with on the beach.

There were two pools which were nice for the kids. However, the residents for the most part are 55+, which made me a little uncomfortable with my younger kids. There wasn't anything for the kids to do, and very few younger kids around the community and the beach. Part of it, I am sure, was the fact that it was September. Yet, the kids that were there were told what not to do around the pool and community, instead of enjoying being on vacation.

Again, the condo was fabulous and the owners were great to work with. I would just not recommend the property for families with smaller, younger kids.

Another very pleasant and relaxing stay

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I have been to this condo several times over the years (the first time was way back in the Mid 1980`s!!). Nowadays we feel totally at home during our stays. The location is unbeatable, (right on the beach), the accommodations are very clean and comfortable, the kitchen well stocked (with pots & pans, dishes) and there is generally a breeze most days to sit out on the balcony overlooking the ocean (if you are not very fond of air conditioning).

During our visits with kids (and now grandkids), the pool is a huge plus. For teenagers the waves are usually perfect for surfing or buggy boarding, the breeze excellent for kites, and the extensive beach great for long walks, jogging or riding bikes.

St. Augustine is a quaint city with lots of history, great eateries, art, breweries, and night life. The intra coastal waterway has excellent fishing and sight seeing all the way south to Fort Matanzas. Frankly, one week`s stay is not enough to see and do all we would like to.... and so we just keep on coming back!!

Do we love this condo?

  • 5 of 5

Well, it's our fifth year here and we are as delighted as ever. Tastefully decorated, fully equipped, and with knock-out ocean views from the top-floor balcony (it extends the width of the unit, living room and bedroom), this condo offers a quintessential Florida experience. There are plenty of chairs/tables, etc for entertaining our nearby family. The owners/hosts are most gracious--and local--and have readily stepped in when (rarely) we needed help. This stretch of beach--wide, firm, lightly populated--must rate as one of Florida's very best.
