Notes:
King Kamehameha the Great loved to visit Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. You will, too. Start your day sipping locally grown Kona coffee. Then set out on Alii Drive, where you can shop boutiques, dine or simply look out over the bay. Or, get an early start and take the two-and-a-half-hour drive to Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park and the most active volcano in the world. It is at the beaches, however, where you’ll find the most fun. Hit the surf on boat or board, or dip under the clear water for a world-class scuba adventure. But don’t forget to come up for an intoxicating sunset at a place fit for royalty—Kona.

Beautiful and relaxing

  • 4 of 5

Condo was perfectly located near town. We could walk to restaurants and shopping. One of the few times staying away from home where we found the bed to be super comfortable! All other features of the condo were very nice. It was a little stuffy at night, but we just kept the slider to the lanai open and let the breeze blow through. Would love to visit again in the future.

Perfect sunsets, close to town.

  • 5 of 5

Our visit to Kona in late October came right when we needed a break. We had visited the Big Island thirteen years earlier and recalled liking this area just south of town so when we discovered this property, we knew it would be ideally situated for us. We didn’t know the half of it; this condo is ideally placed to see the wonderful sunsets, elevated enough for a great view but only steps to the pool deck and BBQs. Speaking of which, I don’t think many restaurants could beat our breakfast and dinner views from the lanai plus it was fun meeting others hanging out at the grills. Parking is as convenient as it gets and town is only a short walk away when you don’t feel like driving. The condo is furnished and decorated nicely, WIFI was solid and there were even beach chairs and an umbrella in the closet which we much appreciated. Denise communicated everything we needed for arrival ahead of time and provided an alternate local contact if any urgent matters arose. We would highly recommend this property for anyone that likes the flexibility of the condo experience and hope we have the opportunity to visit again sometime.

A wonderful unit in the heart of Kona!

  • 4 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay at the Kona Reef! Our unit was immaculately furnished, provided easy access to all our island adventures, and most importantly, a birds-eye view of the community hot tub for quick access in times of low demand. We enjoyed the wonderful kitchen, the waterfront balcony to watch the dolphins and humans at play, and the sunsets were magnificent. An added bonus, it is just down the road from Kona Town and the wonderful Evolution Bakery & Cafe which offered an amazing veggie breakfast and delicious local flavors. We highly recommend!

Amazing condo, great complex!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed from Nov.3rd-13th and could not have asked for a more perfect location in this oceanfront complex with pool, jacuzzi, and grassy area to watch sunsets at night. The bar B Q area became a social gathering in the early evening, met such great people! A 5 minute walk into town, restaurants and shops. Make sure you rent a car and explore this beautiful island....the beaches are stunning. Condo had everything you could need. Will definitely stay here again!!

Right on the ocean and walking distance to restaurants and shopping

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this condo for a week in late August and enjoyed every day. You can see and hear the ocean from the lanai, and sunsets are fabulous. Condo is tastefully decorated and well equipped. Wonderful community. Short walk to downtown Koloa. Our favorite place, which was an easy walk, was "On The Rocks" when you could also watch the sunset, dine and have a drink. Great location.
