Located in picturesque Estes Park, CO, this home is just a few miles from Rocky Mountain National Park, with hundreds of miles of hiking trails, and back-country camping at your fingertips. Wildlife roam in abundance throughout the area, and as a lucky guest you can view elk, deer, and an occasional mountain lion from the safety of the balcony wrap-a-round deck.

There are 5 bedrooms with 3 of them having a personal bathroom. There are a total of 3 queen beds, a standard bed with a twin bunk on top and a room with 1 twin bed and one full bed..

Please note that there is an attached, separate driveway and entrance apartment occupied by property caretakers.

The hot tub is off line November through April.

I enjoy waking up to a spacious mountain setting. The fabulous hiking goes on for miles and miles all around. I have decorated my home to provide each guest with the comfort of home and the feel of a rustic mountain getaway!

Beautiful house with a stellar view

Rocky Top Ranch was a great place for our family to stay. The view from the porch was awesome and we spent most of our non-hiking time there. The house has two living areas on the main floor and so TV watchers could peacefully co exist with readers/game players. The bar and chairs around the kitchen made for cozy breakfasts before we headed into the park. Plenty of bathrooms and comfortable bedrooms topped it off. Thanks so much for a great stay in Estes Park.

Relaxing and spacious

We had a group of 9 stay here for a week. The views and solitude are tremendous, especially being so close to town. Everyone enjoyed having comforts of home and the ample space. We'd recommend this property to anyone!

The property was beautiful and great!

We had a great time at this property. The house was beautiful with great views! There was plenty of activities to do that kept us busy the whole weekend. The only thing we would have changed is not having the tenant in the basement, and only because his dog barked excessively one of the nights. Otherwise everything was awesome!

Gorgeous views and close to shopping and eating areas.

We loved our vacation! Breathtaking views and a great location. But as with most things, there are pros and cons. There were plumbing issues that we had the moment we got there. After a long drive it was frustrating but the guy came out within an hour and fixed the major problem and the rest was addressed later in the week. The main living area is gorgeous but the bathrooms are extremely dated which are not shown in the pictures online. My bed in the master was comfortable but the others were not according to the rest of the family. There are tenants that live in an area that is connected to the house. That is mentioned on the website. What we didn't know is that their door is in the basement. We had our concerns when we found out that they had the ability to enter the main house if they wanted to. Owner said there has never been an issue with that in the past and they keep to themselves. The room with the two beds is located in the basement/game room. We did not use that room because it would have been for the kids and it's right by the tenants door. I just didn't feel good about that situation. So our 5 bedroom turned into a 4 bedroom for that reason. They are also smokers. The game room smelt like it was definitely not a 'non smoking' area. The tenants are not suppose to smoke in their apartment but they were anyway. The owner addressed it. For a few days you could tell they were burning insense to get rid of the smell lol. I struggled with whether to give this home 3 or 4 stars due to some of the issues. Honestly, the beds brought it down to 3 stars because that was one thing that could not be taken care of during our stay. I would HIGHLY recommend the owner replace the mattresses. By the end of the day, we were exhausted and would have liked a good nights sleep. We would definitely stay there again in hopes that the mattress situation was addressed.

Owner's Response: The problem with smoke was from someone who checked on the tenants dog during their absence. The tenant is a non-smoker.. We are sorry their friend caused any problems.

Christmas in the Rockies!

With our kids and grandkids split between two states, it is rare for our whole family to spend Christmas together. But 2016 we treated our kids and grandkids to a week in the Rockies. This beautiful 5 bedroom home was clean and had amazing views from all rooms. Four of the bedrooms had private baths. The kitchen was large and fairly well stocked. The sauna off the master bedroom was used a few times. Had we known the hot tub was still available, that would also have been used. Steve was very helpful with reservations, answering questions and providing an extra space heater for basement area. The location was conveniently close to town for shopping, yet secluded enough for privacy. It snowed the day we left! We did experienced high wind gusts while there and were thankful the living room windows were strong enough to withstand it! A drive through Rocky Mountain National Park is always beautiful to us with breathtaking views around every bend. As in some other reviews, there were a couple things within the house that needed attention and/or updating (lightbulb replacements, ceiling fan in master bedroom); but all-in-all we enjoyed our time together at Rocky Top very much. Great Thanksgiving weekend

We stayed in this house over the Thanksgiving weekend. There were 8 adults and 4 kids aged 7, 3, and 9 months. We all had our private rooms and bathrooms. The living areas are just great for a family holiday. The kitchen is very well-equipped with lots of room for several people to work. The views are spectacular and the house is located on the edge of town so very convenient to the quaint shops. The house was very clean. We all enjoyed ourselves very much.
