About Rich Schlosser

Hello I am Rich Schlosser. I live in Phoenix Arizona and Pagosa Springs. It is the perfect balance for me because of my love for nature and the outdoors. I will do my best to make your visit the most memorable and help guide and assist you in as much adventure or solitude as you wish.

Rich Schlosser purchased this cabin in 2008

Why Rich Schlosser chose Pagosa Highlands

I have skied the Rocky Mountains for many years. The winters are beautiful with ample activities but when I visited Pagosa for the first time in the summer of 2005 and experienced the colors, the textures, the wildlife and the outdoor adventures, I became hooked... I now come to Pagosa Springs once a month and spend the summers months here.

What makes this cabin unique

The Redhawk Haven is just 6 miles north of town and backs to the San Juan National forest which gives a serene feel of 'being away from it all'

Great Stay in Pagosa Springs!

  • 5 of 5

Really enjoyed Redhawk Haven! Rich was a great host and the property was perfect for us. It's in a very quiet and somewhat secluded neighborhood, yet only a 10 minute drive to restaurants and grocery stores. The property backs-up to the forest, so hiking and trails are right out the back door. Rich provided everything we our stay was very comfortable. Would absolutely recommend this property....we'll be back again!

RedHawk Haven Post Christmas 2017

  • 5 of 5

RedHawk Haven was very well stocked, clean and comfortable. The owner was very accommodating - my husband wanted to watch a bowl game and the channel was not in the lineup, so the owner called Direct TV and got him the game! The four of us were quite comfy and happy at this property. So nice NOT to have to buy extra toilet paper, paper towel, Kleenex or dish soap.....Rich, the owner, had the property totally stocked. It is the perfect place to return to in order to relax after a day on the slopes or nearby hiking!

Good value for price

  • 4 of 5

For the price, this place was a good value. It was clean and allows pets. This rental is one unit in a three unit building, so occasionally we could hear noise from the upstairs unit(s). The landlord lives in one of the units upstairs. He was very nice. The internet signal was strong. Their was one large TV with a dish/satellite that received most channels, but did not have ESPN. The two bedrooms are on one side of the unit. On the other side is the kitchen/living room/dining room in one open space plus a separate bathroom. The front door/hallway is in the middle. Be aware that the location is approximately 15-20 minutes out of town in a subdivision of mainly single family homes. All in all, if you are looking for a basic rental for 2-4 people and don’t mind driving into town to shop, eat out, visit the hot springs, etc., this is the place for you.

Owner's Response: Hello Lisa, as I recall you told me you stayed at a few vacation rentals on this trip. I'm wondering if your confusing this with another property because most of what you say does not relate to mine. I am in Pagosa Springs and my property is located 6 miles from town, it has never taken me longer than 10 minutes to get there. One thing that does relate is... I do my best in keeping the rates affordable so that families can enjoy themselves in nature. Most of my repeat guests stay here because they enjoy the feel of "getting away from it all" while still being just a few minutes from town. Everything else is as the photos and listing description states. I am always open to suggestions and take pride in providing clean, comfortable accommodations for my guests but I'm having a hard time making heads or tails from this review. In our last conversation you said you did not remember what you wrote. I know you have a lot on your mind with the purchase of your own property here in Pagosa but with all due respect, if this review was meant for another property I would kindly ask you to remove it. The reason I ask is, I am getting inquiries asking why this review contradicts all the others. Thanks for visiting, it was a pleasure having you and I hope you enjoyed Pagosa Springs.
