About Mary Hines

Bob and Vickie live in California. Bob works in the green power industry and Vickie works in the veterinary field. Before they met, Bob spent 18 years in Alaska working on the pipeline and commercial fishing boats.

The above photo is of Bob and Vickie overlooking the Ninilchik River.

Mary Hines purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Mary Hines chose Kenai Peninsula

When we purchased this property our grandchildren lived in Kenai and we wanted a place to stay when we visited them. The next year they moved down to California, but we couldn't give up the house. We come up every year in May to be sure all is ready for our guests. Our manager, Mary, takes excellent care of things when we are not there.

What makes this cabin unique

The cabin faces the Cook inlet, with a panoramic view of the inlet and Mt Iliamna and Mt Redoubt. Behind and around the cabin are woods so that although you are only 2 blocks from Sterling Highway it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. The setting is so serene and calm you can't help but relax and rejuvenate.

What a great place.

I stayed here for a fishing trip, this house is very well kept. Owner is very nice and willing to help us with needs. The house was in order so did not need anything. Pictures are accurate, I feel it was nicer in person. If I travel back to this area I will look to see if this house is available to rent again!
