Breathtaking view of Mt. Redoubt (a volcano) across Cook inlet. Cosy private two story cabin on bluff above cook inlet. Property is 2 1/2 acres, half wooded. Located in Ninilchik, 30 minutes from Kenai and 45 minutes from Homer. Minutes away from several lakes and rivers.
Bald Eagles are reliably seen flying by the cottage or even perched on the bluff. Watch for the common delight of seeing a Moose on the property,
Fish from the banks of the nearby Ninilchik River, or take a guided fishing tour on the Kasilof, Kenai or Russian Rivers. Fish for sockeye's, silvers, rainbow trout, and dolly varden, depending on the season.
Not recommended for pets or small children because of sharp drop of over 150 feet from bluff to ocean.
There are three bedrooms upstairs. One has a queen bed, another has 2 double beds and the third has two twin beds. The downstairs bedroom has a double bed. Linens are provided as well as a fully equipped kitchen.

Mary Hines purchased this cabin in 2005
When we purchased this property our grandchildren lived in Kenai and we wanted a place to stay when we visited them. The next year they moved down to California, but we couldn't give up the house. We come up every year in May to be sure all is ready for our guests. Our manager, Mary, takes excellent care of things when we are not there.
The cabin faces the Cook inlet, with a panoramic view of the inlet and Mt Iliamna and Mt Redoubt. Behind and around the cabin are woods so that although you are only 2 blocks from Sterling Highway it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. The setting is so serene and calm you can't help but relax and rejuvenate.
I stayed here for a fishing trip, this house is very well kept. Owner is very nice and willing to help us with needs. The house was in order so did not need anything. Pictures are accurate, I feel it was nicer in person. If I travel back to this area I will look to see if this house is available to rent again!
