We drove in from Little Rock for the weekend and had a great time. There was plenty of room to accommodate 10 people. The house was very nice and clean! The pool table and air hockey table was perfect for the kids and the adults and you could just walk along the path to the lake! We will definitely be going back!
My wife and I went to this house for a spring break get away with some family and our kids, and had a wonderful time. We stayed 4 days and although the weather didn't work for use we made use of the game room and big dinning area. My wife and other girls liked that it was less then 5 minutes from Walmart and anything else that you could use. Really liked all the updates in the house and all it had to offer being next to the water, we are looking forward to going back in the summer with the family. The only things that wasn't so great was that the power flickered here and there and the light switches didn't all work as they should, the tack strip where the carpet ended was open some easy to grab your shocks or feet, and the grill they charge 50 dollars to clean the grill if you don't but when we went to use it, it was dirty from the last use. It was an old grill with the cooked grates bad off so we had to improvise to cook on it, and no light at the end of the porch where it was at. Those are miner things and would not stop me from renting this house again. Over all a great get away spot for family and friends.
We have booked our second stay at the cliff house! We were so pleased with the cleanliness of the house and the remodels they have done are great! The house is open and has plenty of room for the whole family (plus a few friends of course)! We will continue to have our yearly vacation here as long as it's available!!
Recently my husband and I had a weekend getaway at the Cliffs house and we had a great time! The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood with great amenities and a beautiful view of the lake. The water was a bit cold so we didn’t take advantage of the access to the lake, but the back porch was a nice place to sit and relax and enjoy the view.
The house is in such a great location, it didn’t take much driving to get around to different places. Everything we needed and wanted to do – downtown shopping, walking trails, area restaurants, and even Walmart – were all within several miles of the house. Our two favorite restaurants that we visited while there were Café Klaser and the Red Apple Inn. Both had amazing food!
The house itself was a wonderful place to relax! It was clean and well maintained, and basic necessities (such as linens, towels, hand soap, etc.) were provided along with a well equipped kitchen for cooking meals. But our favorite amenity by far was probably the pool table which we took advantage of all three days we were there. (I am sad to say that my husband won our best of three series that we had going!) Other entertainment at the house included a DVD player and small DVD collection along with an air hockey table, board games, and a tire swing in the front yard.
While I enjoyed having the house to ourselves, it could easily fit a large family or accommodate a few couples. My husband has already been thinking about coming back with some friends and renting a party barge for the lake. You could easily launch nearby and pull up to the dock at the house to pick everyone up.
We really enjoyed our time at the house and in Heber Springs! Although it’s a small town, it’s not hard to find things to do. Enjoy!
My girlfriends and I take a trip every fall and leave husbands, kids, & cares behind. This was a perfect weekend! (Except 2 of the girls couldn't make it :-( ) The home is an older, remodeled home that they have done a great job with! The kitchen is well equipped (just bring some hand soap), the beds are all comfortable, and the living room is large with nice furniture. We had a blast hanging out in the "den" sipping a few and playing pool. (However, the air hockey table is in need of some work/replacing/removing.) We also picked up some wood for the little chiminea on the back deck. Even though there are lots of trees because the white line is so high, we could still see part of the lake. It was very quiet and peaceful except for our carrying on! The location is wonderful! I hope to come back with my family this summer so the boys can swim over to the cliffs and try out their jumping skills. It is in a beautiful little cove in a nice part of the lake. This house is big enough for 2 families. There are two sets of bunk beds that have doubles on the bottom and twins on the top for the kids.
Heber Springs is a quaint little town where my husband is from and we plan to retire. They had their Christmas Open House on Sunday while we were there and we were able to help stimulate their economy a little. (We were very happy to help out!) The Red Apple Inn has food that is absolutely AMAZING! The Tea Room is downtown and a nice little place for lunch. There is also a good mexican restaurant located on the other side of town heading toward Panache. Panache is the Aromatique store that is a must. All in all, the perfect weekend!
We had a great time at this location. The lake access was a little further away than expected, but the cove was perfect for our two families including 7 kids and other visiting families during the day. The house was generally as described, remodeled recently, but still some older fixtures and features remaining. The game room was a big hit for the kids in the evening, who otherwise spent most of their time cliff jumping, swimming, boating, or otherwise playing on the island. I grew up in Heber Springs and chose this place for the setting on the lake; the cove, the island, close to town. It was perfect for our crew, and I got to re-live my childhood for a week.
