About Loni

Local resident lived in this house for 10 years. Offshore supply boat Captain and local Real Estate Broker. Currently live in Mobile and close enough to respond to any issues that might arise.

Loni purchased this chalet in 2001

Why Loni chose Royal Lagoons

'Captains Quarters' was purchased as my primary residence in 2001 and was not rented out until recently. I settled on Dauphin Island because it is the most 'laid back', relaxing place I have ever found. The fishing is fantastic, the beaches are beautiful, and the Sunsets are phenomenal!

What makes this chalet unique

Sunsets, sunsets, sunsets!!! Fishing and crabbing off the 36' pier. Swimming or shelling a 10 minute walk on the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. Scooter or jet ski rentals minutes away. Bike trails, best birding in the Southeast, Audubon Park, historic Fort Gains, Dauphin Island Sea Lab and Estuarium. The best offshore Red Snapper and sports fishing in the Gulf and inshore speckled trout, white trout, flounder, crabbing and red fishing on the private pier. Mobile Bay Ferry available for day trips to Fort Morgan or Gulf Shores. The casinos of Biloxi are 1 hour away and New Orleans a short 2.5 hours away.

If you want to relax, this is the place!

  • 5 of 5

We loved everything about this home. I loved the decor, and my kids specifically loved all the pictures on the walls. The sunset is just at the end of the fishing pier each night. It was the best stocked vacation home I've ever seen. We cooked every night but one, and we had everything we needed. The deck was the best place to start the morning and end each evening. The beach was close, but make sure you go to the west end beach. The one closest to the house is a bit of a walk once you park. Great Blue was a fun "pet" to find on the pier from time to time. We tossed him a fish, and he seemed very grateful! We had a fabulous time, and we hope to come back in the future! Thanks for having us!

The sunset capitals front porch!!!

  • 5 of 5

We were more than happy with our stay here! The property was fantastic! Very clean and well stocked with anything that you could ever need! The decor was A+ and really made you feel as if you were staying in the “captains quarters”! A plus was having a boat slip right out the back door and plenty of room to fish! The home also has the best spot with rocking chairs to view the evening sunsets! The property as a whole was A+ and the owners were very easy to work with and responded quickly with any inquiry that we had. This will be our go to property if we are ever renting on the island again!

Cozy house, perfect sunsets on the water

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at this cute house on the sound/bay side of Dauphin Island. Best part was sitting outside & being on the deck/dock, we fished, threw a casting net, fed the "pet" Crane :) & enjoyed those amazing sunsets! The house was stocked w/everything we needed, we grilled, made frequent visits to West End beach, played putt-putt, visited DI sea lab, the fishing rodeo was fun & had good bands playing.

Great for a family beach getaway. Great outside space and view.

  • 5 of 5

Wish we would have had better weather but we still found plenty to do. House was well equipped, nicely decorated, and had the space we needed. When planning meals out, it’s important to remember that you will be on island time, so most things close down at 8 or 9 pm.
