With 30 years of Property Management and Vacation rental experience in Canadian Ski resorts and Mexican Beach resorts, I am delighted to add Panama City Executive Apartments to my rental portfolio. I've now been in Panama for 10 years, and provide vacation rentals in Coronado, the beach area close to Panama City. I left the big business of property management behind and now focus on investing, renovating, furnishing and renting my own apartments and condos. My clients and renters have become friends and we socialize and network regularly. There are definite benefits to dealing directly with the owner with regards to service level, property maintenance, and of course price (when there is no 'middleman')
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2008
Panama is such an amazing country and surprises everyone who visits. First world meets third world. The people are so kind and generous, the weather is wonderful year round. This particular location is a lovely area to walk, there are parks and birds and lovely views over Balboa Avenue and Bay. Easy walk to Calle Uruguay, with the best restaurants, nightlife, malls, shops, delis, fruterias, casinos and movie theatres.
Walk to the fish market and onto Casco Viejo using this most popular and scenic route (Cinta Costera Boardwalk) and enjoy great views, gardens, a park, a children’s playground, and miradors and get a pretty good workout in the process. They have landscaped this area beautifully, with statues that light up and change color, little gardens and it's very secure and safe.
The location is great, I can walk just about everywhere I need to go, and with the new Avenida Balboa (finished 2009) we can now enjoy more beautiful green spaces, trees, park area, boardwalk and organized traffic flow. The apartment is booked so often, that I rarely get to stay, but I plan my city trips in between bookings to take advantage of all Panama City has to offer.
We spent one month in Sarah's condo while enjoying the sights, culture, shopping & restaurants of Panama. The location and the view are great. We enjoyed daily early morning and evening long walks on the Cinta Costera. It's a gorgeous, new, well-maintained seawall that extends to the fish market, the old town, Casco Viejo and for many more miles along the pedestrian/cycle path across the puento marino to the stadium. Every Sunday the city closes down four lanes on the Avenida Balboa for miles & miles from 6 a.m. until noon. They offer free bicycles and helmets. We cycled with local families & tourists and thoroughly enjoyed the splendid views especially along the puento marino where you can stop at observation areas & soak in the views to the city and the old town.
Panama is not just the canal. It is rich in natural beauty, history and culture and the people are the friendliest you'll find anywhere.
Although we didn't meet Sarah, she is well-organized and very quick to respond to emails. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.
This bright apartment had the comforts of home, bundled with a supremely central location downtown and a seriously gorgeous bay view of the skyline clear to Casco Viejo. The unobstructed view is beautiful, from dawn to dusk and into the night. We also enjoyed the decorative touches of the cheery and colorful Panamanian molas.
We truly appreciated the warm welcome extended by Sarah, as well as the super friendly and helpful Jose (who picked us up and gave us a thorough orientation). They gave us great restaurant recommendations, too.
We felt very lucky to have been able to stay here, and we highly recommend this apartment. The location is really central, safe and convenient. It's smack in the middle of the bustling metropolis.
The modern Multicentro Mall is across the street; there's a kosher grocery store within the mall basement; and restaurants are within walking distance or a short trip by taxi.
Our only wish? That we could have stayed longer! Thanks and hope to return soon, Sarah!
Tips: In the neighborhood, check out the colorful Diablo Rojos buses and try the refreshing traditional shaved ice snowcone.
When you walk into this apartment all you see is the Pacific Ocean, it is amazing. At night the lights of the city are all around from the bedroom and living room. The kitchen is small but very adequate and extremely well stocked. We spent 5 nights here after leaving Coronado. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioners worked great. The building has 2 elevators and it appears only 4 units for each floor. There is a bit of street noise even though you are on the 16th floor. It really didn't bother us much. This building is directly across the street from the Multicentro Mall. Beware of the Taxi's at this mall, they are way too high and will try to intimidate you. Just walk further down the street and hail a cab for a lot less money. Getting across the street can be a little challenging so beware and take care. Jose was very helpful, after we spent almost 3 hours to get to the rental car drop off. He waited very patiently with several phone calls to him. I highly recommend this for a very pleasant visit to the city. We walked on the new path by the sea to Casco Viejo one afternoon and only took about 30 minutes. Thanks Sarah for lovely accommodations.
My wife and I were at this apartment for eight days before our flight back to the states. The apartment met all of our needs. Kitchen was nice, functional, and well equipped. Living room, bedroom and bath were all very nice and sufficient size. The views were exceptional. Location was perfect for our final week in Panama. Our goal was to try a number restaurants and see the downtown area. What can I say. It was perfect.
Panama city is a large city, very walkable, or easy taxi trips. Taxis are everywhere. Get the rate before getting into the taxi. Tell them where you are going and ask quanto.
Shopping is right across the street at the MultiCentro Plaza. Another mall with very high end vendors is about 20 minutes away, on foot. The MultiPlaza Mall is exceptional.
I would highly recommend this property. We would love to go back.
My husband and I stayed in this apartment for two months and really enjoyed it. The apartment is cozy, well laid out and has a nice kitchen equipped with a toaster over, microwave, toaster and blender among other things. The king size bed is very comfortable and the bedroom has a nice sized closet. The washer and dryer work well.
The view is exceptional and one of the highlights of the apartment.
The location is excellent as well - right in front of Multicentro mall which has a grocery store. Most things are within walking distance.
Building staff is very courteous.
We will definitely return.
Not exaggeration, Bahia Balboa building has the best position in the entire city of Panama, nothing is in your way when looking over the entire bay, the city's ocean-front with all the hotels, Cinta Costera (the coast- line running/cycling path), clear view of Casco Viejo, Cosway Amador with the islands , the ships waiting to enter the canal in the distance and all the celebration parades pass by here...the best hotels cannot compete. More great things; across the street form MultiCentro mall, big kosher supermarket, restaurants and clubs (Caie Uruguai), Casino... all is close...extremely safe area and building, this is the area of the city where the rich people stay. Apartment is very quiet due to the building construction, very well maintained, just the perfect size and if photos are not showing ; the wall facing the ocean is all windows top-to-bottom. And best of it all; Sarah has this amazing team of locals that will be there for you any time you need anything (really anything; from bottle opener to where to rent a helicopter). Lastenia (officially building security and apartment housekeeper) is happy to accompany you grocery shopping and guide you to all the best shopping places in town (girls, do not forget to visit LaOnda!!!!!!). Lastenia in one word is an angel. Jose (officially real-estate manager, tourist guide, also taxi driver) gets things done "5 min ago" which is equivalent to superpowers in this part of the world. Jose will also give you a list of "must see" and list of restaurants when needed.
I have traveled the world (literally) and Sara is one of my favorite renters. Had a pleasure of meeting her in person and am sure I will rent from her again in the future.
Word of advice: hurry with your decision because in Panama tourist and short-term apartments go fast. Also in my experience renting through a real-estate office or a broker can be a XXXXXXXX. Hope this is helpful.
Sarah has my email in case you have questions, I have staid here for 6 month and LOVED it. All the best to you !
PS: I am publishing an Ebook about Panama City Party Buses (crazy thing you need to see with your own eyes)
Located at the entrance of the Cinta Costera boardwalk that borders the Bay. Recreation galore!
