About the property

Cottage with Queen Bed, large bath, sleeps 2

Spacious open room cottage with large bath. It's very bright, cherry and now has new furnishings featuring a grand canopy bed. An European a/c system is there for use on those warmer days, yet normally nice breezes blow through. Tile floors throughout, so ideal for those with allergies or a small dog. Let owner know if you have a pet because the owners also has a small friendly dog also that shares the yard. Ideal for a short stay with plenty of room, flat screen T.V., DVD player, Bose stereo, and a 'kitchenette' with refrigerator, micro, toaster oven, coffee maker, but only a hot plate. Why bother cooking with so many excellent restaurants all steps away! Feel free to enjoy the large outdoor sitting area in the garden. Check the calendar for it's kept up to date!

Lovely cottage centrally located

  • 5 of 5

What a delightful stay! The cottage is bigger than a typical studio, immaculate and tastefully decorated. Everything is well stocked and the kitchen area has all the basics. You won't be cooking Thanksgiving dinner there but why would you want to with all of P-Town's restaurants nearby? The Mews restaurant is right across the street. Our hosts were friendly and helpful while not intrusive. We would love to return in the future.

The Perfect Cottage

  • 5 of 5

This little cottage has it all and is exactly as described in this listing. The location in the gallery district, across from The Mews Restaurant, close to Angel Foods, across the street from the beach and a short walk into town made it the perfect location. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The owners were non-intrusive and extremely cordial and helpful. Loved the beautiful garden but, unfortunately, there were so many very hot days that I preferred to enjoy my coffee indoors with the A/C. I enjoyed my stay here very much and I highly recommend this lovely cottage.

Perfect retreat off the main street

  • 5 of 5

We had three great nights at the "cottage" and found it to be the perfect spot for exploring P'town's restaurants, shops and sea shore. The bed was comfortable and the view of the garden from it was an unexpected delight. The kitchen had all we needed, the bathroom was well-sized, and the AC was more than adequate. The hosts were very welcoming and yet not at all intrusive. The comfy seating in the garden was greatly enjoyed - a quiet spot with beautiful flowers.

Owner's Response: We know that this must be Carol & Steve who wrote this lovely review! We are so glad that they enjoyed our guest cottage and all was very satisfactory. In addition it was nice to have someone from the Pan Mass Challenge stay with us who biked the entire Cape Cod for cancer. Biking and writing a nice review shows the generocity of these fine people! Hopefully we will see you again! Stan & Bill

The perfect cottage

  • 5 of 5

We have been going to the Cape for many years and renting a different place each time. From this point on, this will be our choice. The owners are very friendly and attentive. The cottage is perfect. Quiet, cozy, all the necessary amenities and in the best location. Close enough to the heart of town yet far enough away to keep it peaceful. The best we have found!

Garden Cottage - Provincetown Retreat

  • 5 of 5

When it comes to staying somewhere on vacation, we try to find exceptional places that are above and beyond the standard hotel-style stay. This stunningly beautiful property is located right off Commercial Street, across from The Mews. Its location is somewhat unique, in that it’s at the end of a private gravel road with a cluster of a few other beautiful homes also complete with colorful gardens.

Upon arrival, Stan greeted us in their garden-style yard, located between the main house (where they live) and the separate guest cottage (where we stayed). Stan was so friendly and showed us everything through the cottage including how to operate the AC, what light switches were for which lights, how to make sure the door was locked, and so on.

Stan and Bill are the friendliest hosts with lots of local know-how. They can be there as much or as little as you need them. They are open and welcoming to everyone – gay men and women, straight couples, friends, single folks, etc. We shared laughs over wine on their deck.

The cottage itself is large studio-style. You walk in through two European-style French glass doors (which face the garden and main house). There is a sitting area with a table and lamp, then a four-post bed towards the back of the room. There are plenty of lights so you won’t be fumbling to sit or read in the dark. The kitchenette is well equipped with a microwave, hotplate, refrigerator, deep sink, plenty of glassware. The kitchenette also has a sitting area, with stools and a high-top table. Behind the kitchen is the bathroom. The bathroom is very roomy, complete with elongated toilet and shower with rain-style head. The water pressure and temperature were more than adequate and consistent. There are windows you can open and there is a European-style air conditioning system. It has a simple remote, works well and is incredibly quiet. Outside the cottage, between it and the main house, there is a lovely garden with shared sitting area. It has room, comfortable seating all under the shade of ornamental plum trees. The cottage was very clean with plenty of clean towels, etc.

It’s clear that Stan and Bill put care into the quality of the unit, as if they themselves were living there. The location is fantastic – right on Commercial Street in the East End (by The Mews). It’s a 5-10 minute walk to Town Hall (for reference, depending on how fast you walk). Included were use of deeded beach rights! 5+ stars!

Great East End location just steps into the main portion of town and considered the Gallery District with many art galleries, Provincetown Art Museum, restaurants & historic homes. It's situated on a little garden lane, where the owner's all care tenderly for their yards. A separate little 'cottage' shares the lawn & gardens with owner's main home. Privacy abounds and considered very quiet.
