Our house enjoys the privacy of woodland and overlooks Long Marsh Golf Course (hole 12)and a lake.Basically peace,tranquility and privacy.
We have 2 boys who enjoy being able to play safely at the front of the house - as we are in a cul de sac there is very little traffic so they can play safely.This is when they are not in the pool which is larger than most at 30 foot long.The surrounding pool area is decked and furnished with comfortable sun loungers and incorporates an outside shower and toilet (extremely useful with children!).
We are 10-15 mins from beaches at Englewood and Boca Grande.Florida's main attractions,parks at Disneyland,Orlando are 2.5 hours drive and Busch Gardens,Tampa 1.5 hours away.

We are the Lowe family - Ian, Karin, Tommy and Fred and have enjoyed spending our holidays in Rotonda since we bought our house in 2007.

We holidayed in Rotonda and were taken with the area instantly.
This is our holiday home that we intend spending six months of the year in when retired. Meantime we spend our holidays in Rotonda and are looking to rent it out to ensure it is used and others can enjoy it. It is in a quiet cul de sac and overlooks Long Marsh Golf Course.
When not in the pool,on the beach or playing golf we enjoy being out on our bikes or playing tennis (courts in Rotonda Community Park).
There are chairs and umbrellas for the beach,bikes,tennis rackets and a set of golf clubs in the garage for use.
For 7 Years I have been taking my family to the Rotunda area for Spring Break and Summer Vacation. This year, our rental at (.......) has been our best experience so far. The first thing we noticed about the property was how clean and very well maintained it was. This was important to us. We loved the location. It is very central with shops, beach and other activities just a few minutes away. The inside of the home was very cozy and accommodated 4 adults and 2 Children very well. All amenities were available and as advertised. We will be returning next year for sure.
We were lucky that the owner of this property decided not to sell and we were able to rent through February and March 2015. Having visited Rotonda for 14 years we know the area well and have both agreed that the location of this property was the best in all those years. It is quiet and while the trees at the rear give you privacy there is still enough of a view of the course to watch the golfers and listen to the amusing comments before the 'thunk' in the trees as mentioned by a previous visitor. The owner was very helpful and we certainly hope to revisit in the future.
We rented this great villa in mid-Jan thru 1st week of April in both 2013 & 2014. We signed the booking form for 2014 after enjoying the home for just a few weeks because we enjoyed it so much. We would have signed again for winter of 2015 but owner was thinking of selling. The neighborhood was very quiet & the neighbors were very nice. The golf course is close enough but still allows for your privacy. The solar system for the pool kept water plenty warm. We enjoyed the bikes alot too. The property management people could not have been more helpful. Hope to return again for sure!!
Kathy and I were very satisfied with our recent seven-week stay.
This was our fourth vacation in Rotonda West which we like for its relaxing atmosphere and proximity to friendly local shops.
Many times we took advantage of being close to the famous Boca Grande beach and the Cape Haze Pioneer Trail Park (nature/walking & biking trails).
Every day, we and our guests listened to the many birds and the occasional “thunk” of misguided golf balls landing in the trees, sunned, swam and ate in the very private screened lanai and pool area. The solar heating kept the pool very warm…so warm that we had to turn it off a few times when the pool temp was approaching 32°C (90°F)!
Our dog had a great time too! She spent her days on the lanai keeping an eye out for wildlife while trying to retrieve her bobbing ball from the pool without falling in.
The property manager was very friendly and very attentive to our needs.
We liked this home, its location and neighbours so much that we wanted to return in 2013 but, unfortunately, will have to wait until 2014.
We highly recommend this home. It is very clean, comefortable, fully equipped and nicely decorated. The photos are very accurate.The split floor play is ideal when you have guests visit during your stay. The home is located in a quiet area and has a golf course view from the large lanai/pool area, which provides for daily comic relief watching some interesting tee shots! Rotonda is an ideal location, away from the traffic in Ft. Myers and Sarasota but close enough to take advantage of all that Ft. Myers and Sarasota/Venice have to offer, e.g. shopping, cultural activities and great restaurants. The home is close to great beaches and several excellent golf courses. If you are a golfer make sure that you get in at least one round at Sarasota National and Bobcat Trail GC. If you happen to be a baseball fan the home is only 15 min away from the Tampa Bay Rays' spring training park. Spring training tickets are easy to get and inexpensive. You get full sun most of the day on the very private screened lanai and large pool. The pool is solar heated and is an ideal temperature most of the time. A great feature, since electric pool heaters can be a costly addition. There is a large flat screen TV in the livingroom and Ian and Karin have upgraded the Comcast coverage so you can get full coverage of all of the sporting events (e.g. Super Bowl, college bowl games, NCAA basketball, golf and NHL games) you might want. High speed internet access is available and reliable. Our dog had a great time on the lanai watching all of the wildlife. We had such a great time we are returning in 2012.
