Overview

About the property

2 Bedrooms, 1.25 Baths (Sleeps 4)

Our 160 acre ranch was originally a part of the Spanish land grant Rancho Paseo de Robles. On October 22, 1896 it was recorded as a separate ranch. Around the turn of the century the original farmhouse and dairy barn were built. The farmhouse continued to serve as the main residence for the ranch until 1975 when it was converted to a guest house for ranch visitors and doubled as the ranch headquarters.

In 2009 the farmhouse was completely remodeled to accommodate guests in search of a quiet peaceful country visit among the vineyards here on the west side of Paso Robles. The ranch continues to harvest dry crops of barley and oats, walnuts and in 1995 we added sixteen acres of Rhone wine grape varietals.

Notes:
Located on 160 acres with 16 acre vineyard - Large gas fire pit. We completely remodeled the interior of the farmhouse to include a gourmet kitchen with dining area open to the vaulted living room and fireplace. A central bath serves both bedrooms and features a large walk-in shower and vanity plus a separate powder room with pedestal sink. We made a concerted effort to restore the exterior to replicate the original old farmhouse with its large covered front porch and its bright yellow clabbered siding. The secluded rear patio with BBQ and fire pit is shaded by a giant black walnut tree.

Lovely sparkling clean yellow house

  • 5 of 5

There is so much attention to every little detail in this house that ensures the comfort of guests. The pictures say it all, except that the house or roomier than it appears in pictures. Our host was available immediately for questions, but otherwise, we didn’t see her. The beds are comfortable and the house was so very clean! There are so many details that made this a wonderful choice. We will be back!

Comfort and Kindness in the Country (not far from town)

  • 5 of 5

We came to Paso Robles for a wedding. What we found was a beautiful home surrounded by rolling hills and roads canopied by lovely oaks. Lynn was a lovely host. This home has lovely details and features that made our stay so comfortable and regretting we had not stayed longer. Early mornings were spent on the front porch drinking coffee and smelling lavender and rosemary from the lovely landscape. The back of the house has a wonderful setting with bar-b-que, fire pit and comfortable seating. Paso Robles has recently been named the best winery town by Sunset. I would choose this stay again.
