About Brad Hall

Please call us if you have questions about renting our Big Bear cabin. I am sure you will find it to be one of the nicest vacations ever. As you might guess we are very picky about who we allow to stay in our Big Bear cabin. As a CPA in Orange County this place has become our home away from home. My family loves to hike during the summer, ski and snowboard during the winter and just hang out all together in our spacious mountain retreat.

Why Brad Hall chose Castle Glen Estates

Located at the end of a tiny little cul-de-sac with only eleven homes and nestled against the national forest we feel like we are in God's Country each and every time we are able to escape from the rat race here in the OC. I am quite sure that after you arrive you will be amazed by the views from about every room in the cabin. Just read our visitor ratings to get a feel for what you can expect. Tons of sledding areas right out the front door.

What makes this cabin unique

Breathtaking views and decor that will make you feel right at home with a book and a blanket. Unlike other rentals, our pantry is not locked. Everything is open and available to our guests. We have been successful in creating a home like experience where you didn't feel you need to pack everything. We even supply tons of sleds for sledding around our cabin. Bikes for the summer to ride around the lake which takes less than a minute to ride to.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had an absolutely AMAZING time at the cabin. Everything was truly perfect. My sister in law who is the cleanest person I know gave the cabin a thumbs up which is extremely high praise. I personally thought the master bedroom bed was heavenly. The cabin was so well stocked we felt we came over prepared. The location was fantastic - around the corner from Vons, pizza, Starbucks & a snowsledding place. Can you tell we had a good time?

We will definitely be in contact again next year or maybe even this summer!

Jacuzzi didn’t work March 2017

  • 2 of 5

WOULDN’T STAY HERE UNTIL THERES A NEW JACUZZI. We booked our annual trip to the mountains for March 3-5th 2017. One of the must have for our trips is a jacuzzi. Although the house is a perfect house to stay in the jacuzzi was broken the entire weekend. First day we got there the jacuzzi was only half full and the water was 61 degrees. We called and the owner’s assistant was quick to have somebody (not an actual jacuzzi repairman) come look at it. This person could not fix the problem so he called 2 other guys with no resolution. The next day around lunch time I talked to the owner and he had an electrician come around dinner time to try and fix it. The guy called some of his friends for advice and then was able to repair the jacuzzi after finding the proper part he happened to have at his house. I appreciated the effort from the final repairman but through this whole process one of the people that came over said the jacuzzi is always broken and they have told the owner repeatedly it needs to be replaced. I would not recommend staying in this cabin if a jacuzzi is a must for your trip.

Our family used to have a cabin rental in Big Bear with a jacuzzi and I know they are hard to maintain but judging by the repairmen coming in those days, it was

obvious this is an issue that has been going on for a while. For me that is what bugged me the most. The jacuzzi was about 82 degrees when we checked out so we never even got to use it.

One of the best homes in Big Bear.

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful home located in a friendly, quiet community with a woodsy back yard and great amenities. I visited with my four children for fathers day. The beds were clean and comfortable, pantry was stocked with all of the misc goodies you don't want to purchase just for the weekend such as salt, seasonings, paper plates, etc... The owner was very responsive and helpful. We ran out of propane at the BBQ. I called, he answered immediately and helped me locate the spare tank right there within the home. the BBQ dinner went off without a hitch. I would definitely stay at this home again.

Beautiful White Christmas!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay in the cabin was amazing! We went as an entire family over the Christmas holiday and had such a great time. We were pleasantly surprised that the cabin was decorated for the holiday and all we had to was hang our stockings on the mantle to make it feel just like home. We even woke up to snow on Christmas morning! The cabin slept our 9 adults comfortably, with plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook all our meals and the open pantry was an added bonus. It was fully stocked with everything you may need to get your vacation started - I like the honor system of replacing what you used up for the next guest. It looks as though guests leave behind items that could be useful for the next guest to get and so was great! There was plenty of seating for everyone for meals; the photos show a nice round dining table, but there is also a great L-shaped built in table in the kitchen that is not shown. You can walk to the grocery store and downtown too. The pool table/ping pong table was a huge family hit, plenty of movies to pick from, lots of board games, TV's in every room, Jacuzzi...the owners really did think of everything. The cabin is on a beautiful cul-de-sac and you could wander out into the beautiful surroundings right out the cabin's back door. Stop looking at other cabins to rent...this one is it! We'll be coming back again for sure.

Family New Year's Eve Awesome Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My family of 8 loved staying in this cabin (with us, grandparents, 3 boys age 6, and 13 daughter) plenty of space! Wonderful views from the cabin, direct view of Snow Summit. We were able to see the Annual Snow Summit New Year's Eve Torchlight Parade from the comfort of our heated cabin! Close to Snow Summit and shopping. Very well stocked and beautiful inside and able to use the garage which is an added plus in the winter! Great kids area, my kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool table/ping pong/air hockey table!
