A Cozy, Luxury Haven in the Clouds—with the Best Views in Brian Head
Skyview Chalet, is as cozy as it is luxurious. Located on three acres in the exclusive Steam Engine Meadows neighborhood, it retains all of the architecture and design elements of a luxury ski retreat—craftsman stone and woodwork throughout, modern finishes, king-of-the-mountain views, and not a stitch of kitsch—yet it fosters togetherness by fitting all of this into a cozy package with inviting, open-concept living spaces.
Spend the day on the slopes making memories (we’re located beside the Giant Steps lifts), then defrost together around the gas fireplace on plush blue sofas and chairs. Meanwhile, a sweeping view of the snow-dusted mountains and valleys reminds you that you’re perched at an impressive 10,000 feet.
The living area leads right into the kitchen, so the cook is always part of the action—not sequestered far away from everyone. A center island with bar stools is the perfect place to have a glass of wine and chat with the chef.
A spacious deck just off the living room with propane BBQ grill offers another option for dinner, plus a space to take in the view and crisp mountain air.
You’ll want to claim the master bedroom for yourself in advance, as it’s truly noteworthy—featuring a true log king-sized bed, a double-sided fireplace that warms the bedroom and master bath, a jetted tub with panoramic views, and a private deck.
There are two other adult bedrooms with queen-sized beds—one of them featuring the same sweeping view you’ll enjoy from the living room—and a shared bath. For the kids, there’s a bedroom with a set of bunk beds (the bottom of the bunk if full, the top is twin), plus an additional twin bed—and, the kids will be thrilled to discover, a foosball table.
Brian Head is a gem of a ski resort that’s family-friendly and not too crowded. Skyview Chalet is located in the upscale Brian Head neighborhood of Steam Engine Meadows, with easy access to the slopes (a one-mile drive and you’re there) and restaurants like Casa d Amigo and Pizanos Pizzeria. Or, stay in if you’d rather—the kids can sled right down the back hill while you cozy up to a movie on the 48-inch flat screen.
A little further afield from Brian Head, you’ll find the spectacular beauty of Zion National Park (1.5 hours away) and Bryce Canyon National Park (1 hour, 15 minutes away)—both great for summer escapes.
