A perfect vacation retreat & ideal base for exploring, surfing, swimming and hiking!

A 5 minute drive to beautiful Hanalei Bay with it's world-renowned stretch of golden sand beach. For surfers & the adventurous, the beach is a one mile walk away along a well-maintained path through a park-like setting with unsurpassed views of the Bay. Enjoy big wave surfing in winter, and small, rolling waves in summer. The historic town of Hanalei is a perfect place for strolling, dining and browsing through shops. There is also a fish market, shave ice, smoothie and juice bars.

This Hanalei Hideaway is in a small complex of 20 townhouses surrounded by tropical foliage and estate homes on large properties. Only one wall adjoins the neighboring unit so you are steps away from tropical gardens on 3 sides. It is nestled just off a quiet country road but close to shopping, restaurants, and the beach. The neighborhood is exceptionally clean, safe and quiet and on the edge of Princeville Resort that sits atop the bluffs overlooking the ocean and Hanalei Valley.

On the ground floor is a kitchen, dining area, living room, lanai, bathroom and washer/dryer. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a bathroom. Small private yards in front and back of the home are part of the well manicured landscape. Lush tropical foliage can be viewed from every window.

The newly renovated 27-hole Makai´ Golf Course, tennis courts and Princeville Shopping Center, with the only major grocery store on the North Shore, are close by.

Great place fully equipped and modern with island charm !

We loved our time at Hale Honu ! The location was great, only a short drive to many beaches and around the Cnr from supermarket and shops. The kitchen facilities were fantastic !

It was the perfect "home away from home" for our Kauai vacation

We were so happy here! The unit is located in a smaller complex tucked away just a couple of blocks off the main highway. Everything was very convenient, yet when we were there, it felt like we were truly a world away. The landscaping around the complex is mature and lush, with orchids, palms, and all sorts of tropical garden species. From the front side, we could see the beautiful mountain range and waterfalls, from the living area looking toward the back, we enjoyed the view of a beautiful tropical garden. Parking was convenient, just steps from the door. Neighbors were quiet and respectful. Overall, it was just a beautiful, peaceful, restful setting. If you stay here, don't miss the breathtakingly beautiful overlook of the mountains and valley which is located just another couple of blocks down the road on the left. Spectacular! And to think we might have missed it, if we hadn't stayed here!

The decor in the unit is tasteful and understated. The kitchen was well appointed, and thanks to the owners and previous guests, there were many "lagniappes" in the form of sauces, spices, and condiments to help in preparing our meals. A very nice grocery store in the Princeville Center was just about a half mile away which had a wonderful bakery and deli. We were able to get rotisserie and fried chicken, pizza, sushi, and poke bowls ready to go there, which was yummy and so convenient at the end of a day sightseeing and beaching.

The beds were comfortable, the towels were fluffy, and there were many useful items stocked in the cabinets which many guests will find helpful. The beach items were so helpful for enjoying the local beaches. We slept with windows open and ceiling fans and were very comfortable. It rained almost every night, which just added to the "zen". The unit will easily accomodate two couples or a family. It felt very spacious.

The owners were very communicative, and provided lots of useful information about the area. I was on Kauai for eight days--we toured just about every inch of the island, and yet, I remarked to my husband over and over again how happy I was that we were staying in such a perfect place for us. For us, it was a better environment than being at the St. Regis! I hope to be back someday. Mahalo for sharing this awesome place with us.

Wonderful unit, quiet property, excellent location, and the best part: the owners.

This property is a Princeville dream. Well appointed and tastefully decorated unit, beautiful and quiet grounds, and super easy access to Hanalei, Kilauea, and the rest of the north shore. The owners, Mandy and Jim, are wonderful to communicate with and do their best to accommodate requests.

As stated, there is no A/C, but it's not really an issue if you're away from the unit, out doing things during the day. Temperatures cool off once the sun sets, and there are plenty of windows and fans that help air out the unit once you're back.

Washer and dryer in the unit - great for reducing the amount of clothing sets you need and lightening your travel load.

There are beach necessities, such as snorkel kits, beach umbrella, boogie boards, and beach chairs to use. Everything is in good shape, with the expected light wear and tear of island life.

Groceries are a quick hop away (and Mandy and Jim have a Maikai card that you can use), as well as shops, equipment rentals, and an urgent care center (hopefully you will never need this).

As with the rest of Kauai, you'll be awoken by roosters greeting the day, but it's a good way to get out and get on with your day exploring the wonderful island.

Water pressure isn't what you'll get on the mainland, but it's more than sufficient for a shower. Kitchen is stocked with cookware, flatware, and dishes. Food is on your own.

10/10, a great property to make your home base, and Mandy and Jim are the icing and sprinkles on top.

Comfortable and Quiet Condo

This was our first time staying on the North Shore of Kauai and found this very nice and comfortable condo. I don’t think the pictures do it justice! This place is nicer in person. Condo is fully stocked and in a quiet complex. Contacted the owners with questions and received quick responses. Would definitely recommend this condo for a small family. Thanks Mandy for allowing us to stay in your condo!

Beautiful townhouse in a very convenient location .

We had a wonderful stay in this accommodation despite the north shore flooding. The townhouse was not affected by the heavy rains and was dry and comfortable. We had all of the amenities anyone could possibly want in a home away from home in a beautiful setting, close to shopping.

Our host gave us lots of useful information and was a attentive to our needs. I highly recommend this accommodation!
