About the property

This vacation home is unique in that it is so very centrally located in downtown Kapaa. The house was built in 2001. It has 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2200 square foot, two levels. It is only a minute walk to the Beach. It has ocean and stream views. Sleeps 6 people. This Vacation Home is walking distance to downtown kapaa shops, post office, restaurant, banks, and groceries stores. The ocean front walk and bike path starts right out front of the house about a minute walk over the kapaa boat harbor and state park. The house is situated to get the trades wind breeze through the entire house.

You have several beaches that are just a short stroll from your home that never has many people around. Great for swimming

Baby beach is a favorite with many of my guest and children.

if you want quite and away from all the action then this home is probabley not for you. It is located right in historic kapaa of kuhio hwy. You have the ocean in the front of you with the kapaa boat ramp for the fishermen and whale watching. Then you have kuhio hwy one lot away from your home which is the main hwy on the island. if you want to get away from any noise then look top get a place up in the mountains.

Bedroom #1 is downstairs and has a king-size bed with pillow top mattress and beautiful dresser. It comes with Double Glass sliding doors and Double Mirror sliding doors.

Bedroom #2 has 2 full beds. It also has a double Mirror sliding doors

and double Glass sliding doors that lock and open up to the gate that leads you right to the beach. Upstairs is bedroom #3 which also has a king size pillow top mattress bed. All my renters love the beds and say they are the very best and most comfortable of any Vacation House they have ever stayed at.

Downstairs also has a full bathroom with a tub and a washer and dryer room with free surfboards to use while staying at the house. There is a nice yard right out the bottom door of the house for relaxing and playing with the kids.

The 2nd floor has an inside stair case that leads upstairs to the kitchen, living room, and lanai. The kitchen is full stocked and very roomy with a large center counter top with 6 high stools so you can sit and enjoy your home in private and not have to eat out every breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday. You save money with this great Kitchen. It has a gas stove, dishwasher, and double door fridge with Ice maker, double sink,

garbage disposal and stocked with all your cooking utilities, plates, cups, silverware and knives for cooking and eating.

The house has a High Beam Ceiling that gives you great space.

(No crowded condo or hotel living feeling here).

There is an outside table with chairs on the deck where most people sit and watch the ocean view while they talk and relax or eat and just enjoy Kauai.

You park right next to the house. No long walking to get to YOUR HOME.

Great cell phone reception all over the area. This is your home away from home.

Good snorkeling is available. There are several surfboards available for free for use for all guest.. The new ocean front walk and bike path is also lots of fun and right next to the ocean. Baby beach is also very popular and walking distance from your house. Your front yard is the Lihi State Park with the only small boat ramp in Kapaa, the largest city on Kauai.

You can get fresh fish right there that you can grill on your out side grill. Why stay in a condo and have to walk a long way to your room when you can have this house with parking right next to your home? A new fence with a locking gate now provided more privacy.

After living and surfing on Kauai for over 40 years, I can tell you that it is great to be in the center of the Island with easy access to all area of the Island of Kauai.

If you are tired of long walks to your room after you park your car at the hotel or condo, and have to pay sometimes $20.00 per day parking, then come stay with us.

If you are tired of hearing noises all times of the night and day from the room next door at the hotel or condo--

then come stay with us in your own single family home.

If you are tired of getting ripped off with not getting a good deal with hotels or condos then come stay with us...

You will have a great time at this Vacation Beach House in Kapaa.

Needs improvement. On a/c and a few other things

  • 3 of 5

The area was good. But there was no air conditioning. But there was only A/c in the two of the rooms small ones but the one upstairs didn't work well. It was really hot in the rest of the house especially the kitchen. The house it self was nice. It was really close to the beach. Bath towels were old. But the owners care takers kept blocking the drive way with their vehicles. The house is in the back. Of the owners house. But there was plenty of space in the house. Great location just too hot in the house.

Such a fantastic deal and great owner (Duke) to work with

  • 5 of 5

We took my 91 year old mom with us, plus 3 kids. This place was wonderful. My mom could stay in a big room downstairs and the kids shared two double beds in the other room downstairs. We had master bedroom and bath upstairs. The place was clean and well supplied. Every morning some of the people managing would leave items at our door for us to use if we wanted. Boogie boards, we had two bikes we could use, snorkling gear and they were just so accommodating. All the appliances seem to work well. My only complaint is that it was a bit warm mid afternoon, but that is HAWAII!!! We did not run their A/C units when we were gone so it took a while to cool down. They have A/C units upstairs and one down. The downstairs stays much cooler. I lived in Hawaii, I know most places don't even have A/C so they were going above and beyond. However, it was a little unbearable at times, we just pushed thru it and enjoyed being there. Washer and dryer a plus, they had shampoo/conditioner and things most homes don't supply. Lots of towels/washrags etc. I really appreciate how much they had in the home for guests. Thank you for such a great 8 day experience Duke and team!

Loved the house!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for over a week with a family of 6. It was a great house with plenty of space for our family. One of our favorite spots was sitting on the lanai enjoying the breeze and looking at the ocean. Duke's team was awesome. They were really helpful. Using the house as a base we enjoyed the local Baby beach frequently and also other beaches all over the island. The central location was great and we could head north to Tunnels Beach or south to Poipu. We had a great time. Hopefully, we'll make it back to Kauai again soon and would definitely stay here again.

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful vacation we had. this house was perfect for our family. Lots of room, comfy beds, could see and hear the ocean from the upstairs lanai. House is close to shopping, beach, groceries, restaurants, everything you need within walking distance. Duke and his team were very friendly and were quick to provide us with extras that we requested. Hopefully we will be back next year.

Excellent Kauai Vacation House

  • 5 of 5

The beach house is in a great location in Kapa'a. You can walk to all of the shops in Kapa'a in just a few minutes or you can walk to the beach and the nice bike paths in a few minutes. A boat launch is nearby where you can watch the locals put in and head to the ocean. There is even a bike rental store about 2 minutes walk from the house. Kapa'a is also located about equal distances from the North Coast of the island and the dry side of the South Coast of the island. Duke and his staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. They asked for input on how to make our stay better while we were there and then acted on our suggestions in less than a day! Duke also teaches stand up paddle boarding (SUP) and he did a great job teaching the whole family level 1 SUP (2 adults and 3 teenagers). The SUP instruction was extra but well worth the money. After our instruction we used the SUP boards that Duke has several times to go up one of the local rivers. The beach he took us to for the SUP was our favorite beach we found on the entire island. The kitchen is well appointed and the refrigerator with ice and water dispenser is especially nice during the summer when we were there. A grocery store is located almost across the street from the beach house and the prices at the store were very reasonable for Kaui. We were very happy with our stay at the beach house and would recommend this property to any family, regardless of age or size. Great house! Great Location! Great Value!

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

We had a terrific week and this house worked out great for our group of extended family. The location is ideal if you want to visit all areas of Kauai. We loved the short walk to the lovely old town of Kapaa and the beach at Kapaa Bay. We visited in February and the water in Kapaa Bay was calmer and clearer than any other beach we visited that week - great for swimming with my 7 year old daughter. Duke and his crew were really helpful and attentive. The house was really comfortable and well-equipped. There is a great sunrise from the lanai, if you wake up early enough... but the view is great anytime. I would definitely stay here again.
