Perfect location and home like feel away from home!
Tucked away from the town very quiet and relaxing! Lily Bay right up the road and Greenville the opposite direction. Wonderful amenities at the house such as the outside grill and hot tub. Perfect for watching the wildlife “family of deer” at the house mornings and evenings. All around perfect place! Owner is amazing as well!
Beautiful location, comfortable just like being at home. Equipped with everything we needed!
The house and property was just what we expected and we were not disappointed. Well equipped home. Although not directly on the lake, the views were outstanding. Only about 10 minutes from town.
Enjoyed feeding the deer (deer corn provided by the owner) Hot tub and fire pit wasn’t used since we were only there for 3 days for the Seaplane fly in. Maybe next time!
We had a wonderful stay in Beaver Cove!
My husband and I spent the week of August 18th through 25th in this beautiful home. Right away, we felt comfortable and the house really had everything we needed. Carol responded immediately when we had a question, and she was able to help us. The welcome book was very helpful.
We spent almost every day hiking and kayaking around the area. We climbed four mountain trails, hiked at Lily Bay SP, and kayaked at Lily Bay and Indian Pond. We looked for moose around Kokadjo and visited the B-52 crash site. We ate lunch at Stress Free Moose and breakfast at Kelly’s Landing. We brought home pizza from Jamo’s. Initially, we had planned to eat out more often, but the kitchen was so easy to work in, we cooked at home instead.
My husband and I loved the deer who visited each morning and afternoon. At one time, there were six in the yard, including a spike horn and a fawn. There were four turkeys who visited as well.
The view from the master bedroom and the deck was amazing! It was such a peaceful way to wake up and to end the day. We used the hot tub daily, often twice, particularly after hiking all day. The weather during our stay was gorgeous, with only one overcast and rainy day. We used the fire place several times to keep any chill away.
We have rented several properties in the past, and we both agree that this home was the best. It was so comfortable and had everything we needed. The home and surrounding area was beautiful and peaceful, just what we were looking for in a vacation spot. We are hoping to return again next year!
We had such a wonderful time! The house was incredible. It was clean, and had awesome views. We enjoyed lots of time exploring Moosehead Lake region and the kids loved the shared association beach in the neighborhood. The deer were an added bonus. The kids were so excited to see them everyday. Carol was very kind and accommodating. We want to come back again next year!
Beaver Cove, Maine
We had a great time in Beaver Cove, Maine this past week. We stayed in a beautiful home with great views and friendly deer! Our location was just outside of Greenville, Maine; the small town with some pretty good restaurants and friendly people! If you love the outdoors, hiking and peace and quiet, then this is the place for you. The home is well equipped if you would like to prepare meals there but it's only a 15 minute ride into Greenville if you prefer to eat out. The home is located centrally to a lot of out door activities. We hiked every day with our dog; it is also close to a number of ATV trails and of course there is Moosehead Lake. The association has a dock area for those who have a boat and the swimming area was used by the dog on several occasions. All in all, it was a great vacation and we hope we have the opportunity to return in the future!
We had a great vacation!
This was our first trip to Moosehead Lake. The house was a great location for the guys to access the 4 wheeling trails. We enjoyed the privacy of the association beach/lake access. The kids enjoyed seeing the deer each day and feeding them. The house suited our needs perfectly and was very comfortable. We had a little trouble getting in due to the cleaning crew putting the wrong key in the box, but Carol responded right away, and was always just a text away if we had any other questions. I would definitely recommend a stay at this home.
Moosehead lake encompasses over 40 acres. It is the largest lake in Maine. There are also dozens of small ponds and smaller lakes for those of you seeking canoeing and kayaking in pristine environments with up close experiences with loons, moose, deer and a variety of birds including eagles.
There are hundreds of miles of ATV and snowmobile trails throughout the area which are accessible directly from our property. This is a hunting and fishing paradise offering opportunities for small and big game hunting as well as world class fly-fishing.
The Penobscot and Kennebec Rivers can offer you a thrilling ride with dam controlled class 3-5 whitewater experiences. For those of you less timid we have a delightful hike right to the river's edge where you can experience the thrill up close.
Bring your camera as photo opportunities abound.
Big Squaw Ski area is only 15 minutes away.
