So close

  • 3 of 5

The flat was on the fringe of a very good location, but it was mostly in an area that was being regentrified. If that was the only issue with the apt, I would have given the place a better review. My real problem with the place was that it had a funky smelly upon entering the apartment and most of the windows were painted shut so that it could not be aired out. The shower curtain was old and full of mold. I understand that Seattle has a rain forest climate, but that is all the more reason to change the shower curtain often. It gives the appearance of the place being clean. Supplying the apt with new fresh white sheets and white towels every so often will go along way as well.

On the positive side, Capitol Hill was within walking distance and there were many local coffee shops, bars, and restaurants to choose from.

Owner's Response: Wow that's really an unfair and bitchy review. Windows in every room open and ventilate well, the apartment is spotless and fresh as all other reviews you can read testify. Being snarky isn't funny it's tired.

6 High School Friends Met in Seattle

  • 5 of 5

6 High School Girl Friends took over the entire house for four days for a fabulous reunion adventure. We all enjoyed the location, cleanliness, comfort, and serenity of the Seattle Turret House. A real gem. William, the owner and Shawn, the housekeeper were terrific in handling any issues we had and in giving great advice for wonderful restaurants in the area. We would all come back to Seattle and stay here again. Thanks for a memorable trip...

Gorgeous home in a perfect location

  • 5 of 5

Five of us stayed at this rental for four nights and we all absolutely loved it. My four friends had to work remotely and they found the living room to be a perfect office with its big table, couch and natural lighting. We loved that we could walk to Trader Joe's and Central Co-Op for groceries, and it was so easy to walk to all of the bars and restaurants on Pike and Pine. The kitchen is well-stocked and great for cooking - literally the only downside the entire time was that the stove's lighter has a problem and keeps clicking when you're using it. The beds are very firm but only half of us found that a bit uncomfortable, it's really just preference. It was amazing to have keyless entry, a washer and dryer, a dishwasher, and a beautiful balcony. We would absolutely stay here again.

Charming, close in, quiet and comfortable apartment

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time we have stayed at Seattle Turret House, both times when visiting our daughter who lives nearby. We rent frequently through VRBO, and this is among one of our favorite places to stay. It is a wonderful, bright, quiet and clean apartment in a lovely neighborhood within walking distance of many fine restaurants. The views of the twinkly city lights at night are really nice. Its proximity to Seattle University would make this a perfect place for visiting parents to stay. William is a wonderful host. It is smooth and seamless to work with him. He responds quickly to both email and texts and is very helpful and accommodating. We highly recommend the Turret House.

Great place

  • 4 of 5

Great base for a visit to Seattle! The apartment is spacious, very clean and well-maintained. Lovely partial view of downtown Seattle at night. Trader Joe's is three blocks away and Elliott Bay Book Company about a five-minute walk away. Don't miss the Oddfellows Cafe next door! Communication with William was great. He was very accommodating and replied to our emails in a very timely manner! Thank you, William! We loved our stay at the turret house!
