PERFECT STUDIO IN THE HEART OF THE HEIGHTS

  • 5 of 5

Spacious studio in the heart of Brooklyn Heights! Clean and reasonably priced. Owner was friendly and generous with supplies and amenities. We enjoyed walking to restaurants and shops throughout The Heights without having to worry about parking and transportation. Don't miss breakfast at Clark's Restaurant!

Great place and location

  • 5 of 5

The studio apartment was perfect for us as a family of four with 2 teenagers. North studio is slightly larger but either would have been fine for us. Is older style tastefully decorated studio with everything clean and in good working order (hot water sometimes takes a while but gets there in the end). Comfy queen bed for us and fold out lounge for the kids. Beautiful tree lined and safe neighbourhood with plenty of food and amenities within one block. We really liked the 5-10 minute walk each day to and from the subway via the Brooklyn Heights Promenade. Great views of downtown Manhattan and beyond. Its then only 10 minute trip to downtown, 20 to midtown and 30 to mid Central Park via the subway which was safe and easy even at night. If you have extra time you can walk from the apartment across the Brooklyn Bridge to the world trade centre in about 40 minutes plus photo stops. Communication with the owner Howard was easy and prompt and where possible he was open to late checkout/early check in to suit flight times (much appreciated). Would definitely stay again - great spot, highly recommended.

Fantastic place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second trip to New York from Texas to visit our granddaughter living in the St. George dormitory. This apartment was a walk of a block and a half to her dorm, convenient and easy, even in cold weather. There are many shops, groceries and restaurants all within a block or two, and it is just a few blocks farther to downtown Brooklyn. Subway stations and bus stops are also only a few blocks away. The Promenade is about a block away, with a beautiful view of Manhattan across the river. We were not able to enjoy this much because we were there during very cold and windy weather, which included one snowy day. The apartment itself was very warm and cozy, and super clean. The hot water was immediately hot, even on the coldest days during our stay there. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. There are about 45 stair steps from the sidewalk to the third floor, where the apartment is located, but my husband and I, both 67, managed them with no difficulty. Howard lives on the first floor, and is easy to contact if needed. He is very friendly, helpful, polite and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful historic building and part of New York. I strongly recommend this vacation rental, and will definitely stay there again if it is available on my next trip to New York.

Awesome Place

  • 5 of 5

Amazing place to stay at. I highly recommend this location to my friends and hope to visit soon again. Howard is amazing in communicating and has everything set up for you when you arrive. Our best friend was Google Maps since it gives you directions to the nearest subway and what trains to board for your destination. We had great weather and enjoyed our stay. Thanks Howard!

Location, location

New York friends told me to stay in Brooklyn Heights and Howard's place was perfect. A real neighborhood with tree lined streets and the promenade, with view of Manhattan, just steps away. Restaurants and shopping around the corner. We often got take-out and enjoyed it in the apt. The apt bed is super comfortable. I loved the view out the front windows of the treelined street. The subway is near by and a quick hop to Manhattan, or exploring Brooklyn. The efficiency kitchen allowed us to prepare simple meals.

Howard has this down to a science, everything you need is in the apt. He was also available by phone each time I needed him. Extra credit for overniting my wallet to California when I left it behind. The value and quality on this apt cannot be beat. I should mention, it is a 2 story walk up with rather steep stairs. Someone with mobility problems might want an elevator or street level unit. I would stay here again and recommend it.
