Great location

  • 5 of 5

This was a great place to stay for our nyc trip. We stayed here for 7 days. There were three of us. We were very comfortable. The neighborhood was safe. Safe for walking around at night. The park was one block away with great views of the river and city skyline. We enjoyed walking in the park along the river at night. 5-10 min walk from subway, 20 min ride to Manhattan. We were able to walk over the brooklyn bridge from the studio. So many places to eat/shop within 5 min walking distance. The bed and sheets were comfortable. Tv worked great, had many cable channels. Free WiFi. We were able to buy groceries for the kitchen, a Key Foods grocer was one block over. Fridge and microwave worked great, there was a Britta Filtered water pitcher, toaster, dishes, utensils, etc... no coffee pot but there was a pour over and French press which we utilized everyday, also local coffee shops and Starbux were one block over. The bathroom was great, spacious for a studio, very clean, hair dryer under the sink. Towels were clean. There was a plug in floor fan in the closet that we used every night. The heater worked great. We were from Florida so we had no idea where the heater was or how to work it, but it was in the 30’s every day we were there and the room stayed heated. The neighborhood was very quiet at night, we were able to sleep with the window open without being disturbed. The studio has black out blinds. The wood floors creak a lot so we tried to step lightly. My sister slept on the pull out couch/futon and there was a memory foam mattress cover in the closet, clean sheets, pillows and extra blankets were also in the closet. she was very comfortable. We went into Manhattan everyday with ease, the nearest subway stations were Clark street and Borough Hall which were 5 and 10 min walking distance. There was an iron and ironing board in the closet which we had to utilize one night before a show. Also there were lots of coat hangers in both closets which came in handy for all our coats and dress clothes. I was way happier staying here vs a hotel or hostel in the city. The studio was spacious. A lot of the hotels in the city are very small, over priced, and didn’t have all the ammenties mentioned above. Howard was very accommodating. His office is on the parlor floor, we arrived early and were able to have an early check in. We had an evening flight and we were able to leave our luggage in his office after we checked out. Highly recommended!

Cozy Suite Tucked Away in Beautiful Brooklyn Heights Neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

This cozy suite, complete with a kitchenette, was perfect for Thanksgiving week. It was clean, comfortable, quiet, and well appointed. It was a short walk to the subway, restaurants, grocery stores, the waterfront, and more. We loved our stay!

The location is prime real estate. It is an easy stroll to the promenade overlooking the Manhattan skyline, which we loved doing, it was amazing. We (3 adults) stayed in the North Studio in September 2017 overlooking the charm of the Brooklyn streets.

Communication with Howard, prior to arrival, was easy and prompt. Once you arrive, Howard had all the necessary local information neatly presented. We found this very useful. We had a queen bed and there was a fold out lounge for my daughter (which included an extremely comfortable mattress topper). The studio was large, clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed.

The neighbourhood is popular, many families and full of charm. It has beautiful tree lined streets, we felt very safe, even at night. It was a great advantage to only have a short stroll to many subway lines, which we used every day and night.

We loved the restaurants and supermarket being around the corner, plenty of variety and good food. It is also close to the laundromat.

We found the locals to be very friendly and helpful, offering suggestions and advice.

We had a great taxi driver from the Airport and he too commented about this area being an owners dream.

We would love to return to this apartment and would highly recommend this to anyone who is visiting New York.

Beautiful Brooklyn Heights Brownstone

  • 5 of 5

This was my second stay at Pierrepont Studios. It is the perfect location—quiet, peaceful neighborhood with local shops, restaurants, and Starbucks literally around the corner. Very convenient to Manhattan by subway, taxi, or ride share—or walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. The apartments (I’ve stayed in both North and South) are clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Howard is an excellent host, very accommodating.
