About the property

Large Cedar Home, 3 Bdrms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 8, Convenient Retreat on the Water

Come relax on the shores of Alabama's most beautiful and cleanest lake. Our home is nestled beneath large oak trees on a nicely landscaped lot gently sloping to a lovely view of the lake. This authentic cedar home is in a peaceful area of the lake with nice open water for boating, swimming, fishing and all other water activities. We are in a lower density area which has less boat traffic, yet is convenient to town, River North Marina, and Wind Creek State Park.

Totally new kitchen including cabinets, granite & stainless steel appliances and nice tile floors on main level. Our home has all the conveniences you could expect from a lake house including a master bedroom and bath with antique claw foot tub perfect for soaking after a long day of activity and new plush queen mattress. A recently enclosed dining/sunroom is finished in new cedar shakes and heart pine flooring adding to the lodge feel.

The home is perfect for family gatherings, guys fishing trips, girls getaways. Come create your memories of catching that big fish, learning to ski, or curling up in the loft with a new book. Call today for details and reservations.

About Barbara Jones

Our family includes grown kids & Grandparents and we love meeting up at the lake.

There is no better place to spend the weekend watching some SEC Football with friends, or family. Fishing and boating are all great ways to relax and of course, a good dinner on the patio with some nice music from the bose speakres & cool breeze from the 3 outdoor fans make it the best place to be!

Why Barbara Jones chose Lake Martin

We absolutely love Lake Martin and always wanted our own place here. It is a perfect get away, friends and family bonding relaxing kind of place. We have created many happy memories here and hope you will too!

What makes this cabin unique

Relax the moment you arrive at our lakeside home. This is truly a place to unwind, reconnect with family, friends and nature. Good fishing, boating and enjoying the wonderful gifts of nature are all waiting for you here. Not a pretentious home, yet comfortable with a lodge atmosphere to make you feel part of the natural surroundings.

Guestbook comments from the owner

A beautiful home, perfect get away for our girlfriends weekend. Water is so clear and pretty. We especially loved the sun porch with the round table for our card playing. Nice to be able to communicate via email with the WIFI setup. Hope we can all get together again next year at your nice home.

Lake House

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this house in early June. You can't beat the location between Alex City and Dadeville, less than 5 minutes off of 280, yet very quiet and secluded. The house is large enough so that different groups can play games, sleep, watch television, etc. without intruding on others. Kids enjoyed swimming in the lake off of the dock. Kitchen is well appointed with plenty of utensils and a large refrigerator.

Our family stayed a weekend at this Lake Martin lake house. It was a very roomy and well kept lake home. Secluded but not way out just a few minutes from Hwy 280. It is a unique floor plan with plenty of sleeping areas. The views are wonderful. We would love to go back and stay longer next time. Highly recommend!!!!

Love this Lakehouse!

  • 5 of 5

We love this spacious comfortable home. It's nestled in a natural area at a great location on the lake. With boat launches nearby, we were on the water in minutes. The bedrooms are large with comfy beds. The patio, upstairs deck and dock are fabulous for lazy afternoons and evenings, and perfect for outside dining. My husband and I loved it so much that we visited again with our grown kids and extended family. They love the place as much as we do and we had a fantastic "family reunion." We will definitely be back!

Enjoyed our stay!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this Lake Martin home with extended family for a week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The lake is so beautiful and the home's location in a less traveled cove made it great for fishing, tubing and wakeboarding. We were so relaxed that we only left the house twice - for groceries and gas for the boats. We traveled to the far end of the lake and spent one afternoon watching the kids leaping off of "chicken rock" and "chimney rock". No thanks, I'll just float around in my tube and be a spectator.

The house has a great country lake décor, was clean and all of the beds were very comfortable. We made great use of the big back porch and the large dock. Barbara was great to deal with. I hope that we are able to come back again, I hated to leave!

Perfect spot for a girls weekend

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriends and I wanted to get out of town for the weekend but we didn't want to go too far. This was the PERFECT spot for us. We arrived Friday night and watched a movie and had a fire in the cozy living room. Then Saturday we spent the majority of the day outside on the patio doing crafts, having fun and laughing. We had a fire in the fire pit Saturday night complete with smores and stories. We all had a great time and hope to be back this summer to enjoy the water!
