Winter/ski holiday 2016/17

  • 5 of 5

We found the location of this house ideal. It is in a quiet residential area in East Vail within walking distance (200 yards) of the free shuttle bus service for access to Vail. In fact with hire cars we did not use this service, but saw plenty of buses and being at the terminus there appeared to be no trouble finding space on the bus. Car access to Vail and the other ski centres was easy by freeway or local road.

The house was very well equipped with spacious public rooms. The hot tub was well used and also the bar-b-q. There were plenty of games for evening entertainment as well as the TV/music system. The fridge and cupboards were well stocked with items that you might not have on your shopping list and this made settling in much more comfortable. The heating system kept you warm.

Our "landlady" was very helpful and attentive to any enquiries. We did not have any real issues.

Back to situation. There were wonderful mountain views, which we felt must be just as beautiful in summer. Designated walks are very close by, 300 yards, for non skiers in winter as well as hikers in summer.

We were a family group of 8 persons, including 3 youngsters, and we enjoyed a very happy holiday.

John Kinley UK and New Zealand.

A Gem in East Vail Valley

  • 5 of 5

We chose this home for the open space in the backyard, and the proximity to the playground and creek (our son-in-law loves to fish).

We were celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary and we needed a home that would accommodate 6 adults and 2 children. This home was perfect! Each family had their own bathroom and the the sleeping accommodations were great! We all loved the hot tub at night and the many games on hand which we enjoyed as well. The home is just as you see it. Beautiful!!! The owners of this home couldn't have been easier to work with.

The location was perfect for us to hop on the freeway to Vail Village where we could enjoy the many restaurants and shopping. We took the gondola up one day and did the Epic Adventure which was so much fun! It was great for all ages. We celebrated our anniversary at the Game Creek restaurant on top of Vail Mountain. Truly spectacular!! Something everyone should do at least once.

We all had such a wonderful time being together that everyone wants to do it again next year in this same home. I would recommend this home to anyone because of all that it has to offer. It's a home that really does make you feel like you're at home!!!

Owner's Response: Thank you Lisa for your wonderful compliments!! Yes, our home has lots of out door activities including the hot tub; corn hole; badmitten and volley ball. If it is a rainy day we have tons of board games, video games and a Blue ray 3D disc player! We are thrilled that you made lasting Anniversary memories with your family in our Vail home and all the village has to offer. We would love to have all of you back next summer or anytime it works for your family!! We give a discount for repeat guests!! Happy Anniversary!! Sincerely, Jane

August family stay

  • 4 of 5

The upstairs is beautiful, lots of light and a view to the mountains from every window. We spent all our time at the house in the great room. The outdoor porch is surprisingly secluded and made for great indoor/outdoor living in August. The bike trail to Vial and nearby hiking is easily accessible and a bonus. The downstairs 3 bedrooms and 2 baths are well furnished, just know it's lower level so a bit darker. I really preferred being in East Vail w/ its neighborhood feel where you could return from the village hub and it' was quieter.

I was prepared from an earlier review that the house is wedged in between a condo development, and would have been really disappointed from the seeming seclusion the picture suggests, had I not known this. Despite this it feels surprisingly private and the porch faces away from the interstate 1/4 mi away & is quiet. The hot tub is a great addition & we had no problems, the kitchen beautifully stocked. Jane was very responsive and a pleasure to work with.

Owner's Response: We are delighted that you loved our home with all our amenities. We love the open design of our home with the first level of the home having a vaulted entryway with a large chandelier, 3 bedrooms (windows in each), 2 full baths, laundry room and large entry closet. The second floor has vaulted ceilings with the great room, dining room, large kitchen, master bedroom and 1.5 baths. We are nestled by 3 private homes with a large yard for games, such as the volleyball net we have up for guests and cornhole. We are close to bike trails and that is why we offer the use of our mountain bikes with helmets. East Vail is a gem with a lovely park one block away. On your next Vail destination vacation, we would love to give you a discount for being a repeat guest. Sincerely, Jane Property owner

Owner's Response: Thank you Debra! I am so happy you had more than enough room for your group! I know one of the amenities you especially liked for our home was providing a pak-n-play, high chair and baby gate. The park and pond are so close, the kids and adults both enjoy it!! We look forward to having you back on your next family vacation. Sincerely, Jane
