About Kim Risolo

This house was built by my father in 1992 and when our family was not enjoying it ourselves we rented the entire house out as a vacation home. I recently moved to Puerto Morelos and am now running the house as a bed and breakfast.

Kim Risolo purchased this villa in 1992

What makes this villa unique

You can now enjoy the benefits of staying in a large 3,000 square foot Mexican Villa without the cost of renting the entire house. Because we live on site you always have someone available to answer any questions - where are the good restaurants, which ruins or cenotes should you go to and how do you get there, how and where do you exchange money, how do you make a phone call to the states, etc. Any question or concern you may have we can help you with.

Guestbook comments from the owner

What a Gem..

  • 5 of 5

We have traveled extensively in Mexico and have stayed at a lot of places, but Casa Sueno is a true Gem, you are in a lovely home, minutes from the beach, ' actually 5 mins ' and a very pleasant walk into the center of town.

Kim is a fantastic host with a truly inexhaustible knowledge of Puerto Morelos, and places to visit and things to do + her restaurant recommendations are spot on.

If you have never tried a B&B then i would highly recommend Casa Suenos for a truly fabulous stay.

Casa de los Suenos - House of "Sweet" Dreams

  • 5 of 5

Casa de los Suenos is a charming, colonial home in Puerto Morelos close to everything! The beach is a short walk (5 minutes) and the walk to town is maybe 15 minutes. You can actually see and hear the ocean from their Palapa Room.

We had both the Queen Room and the Palapa Room during our stay as there was 3 of us. The Queen Room is definitely the larger of the two rooms with a larger bathroom but the Palapa Room has its own charm and benefits from the ocean breeze so no A/C needed!

Jim, one of the owners, was there to greet us the moment we got out of the van hired for us by Kim, the other owner. Kim was not available during our stay but Jim took great care of us. From the wonderful continental breakfast every morning (sweet breads, hard boiled eggs, the freshest melon and pineapple, juice and coffee) to pumping up bicycle tires for our rides to town and providing us with recommendations and directions.

We were missing our dogs but little Maggie, their grinning Yorkie and Guapo, kept us entertained and made us feel even more like we were at home.

My only regret was not getting to meet Kim with whom I had exchanged pre-visit emails. She was very helpful and kind. She and Jim have made a comfortable, welcoming home for their guests who want to experience "living" in Puerto Morelos. We hope to be living in PM by next March and very much hope that Jim and Kim will come and visit us in our home so that we can reciprocate their wonderful hospitality.

Puerto Morelos perfect spot

  • 5 of 5

At Jim and Kim's home you will feel at home. Relax, friendly, everything makes you feel the caribbean pace.

In italian we would say: Qui va Piano va sano, qui va sano va lontano!

In French we would say: Que du bonheur!

Service, good tips, breakfast, bikes, snorkeling stuff, conversation, pool, near by everything, quiet, clean and charming... what else? Just don't want to leave. Thanks a lot to our Hosts! Dartagnan's family

Wonderful relaxing stay!!

  • 5 of 5

Staying at Casa de los Suenos was like visiting friends that have a very nice house. Everything was spotless and fresh. Breakfast was all you needed to start your day. Fresh fruit was my special favorite. A fridge stocked with plenty of ice and room for food or drinks was a handy feature. Kim and Jim are very pleasant to chat with and very helpful and know Puerto Morales well. The doggies were friendly and well trained and behaved. I really need my batteries charged (metaphorically speaking) and this was the place! Great stay!

The heart of a vacation

  • 5 of 5

I cannot say enough praises for this Home Away. The only bad thing was that we chose this location at the end of our stay and could only spend one night. Even their dogs were accommodating! The pool was immaculate with captivating plants and the bedrooms were roomy with a huge bathroom. I felt as if I was staying in a museum. Kim allowed us to use their bicycles to take to the beach and market. Bookmark this place if you want a refreshing, real world experience underneath the Mexican Moon! I wish I could post the pictures I took off of the rooftop veranda!

Genuine hospitality with a small town feel

  • 5 of 5

This place makes you feel like you're staying with your favorite family members. The family that you like visiting with and enjoy talking to. The owner( one was out of town) was so genuine in her wish for us to be comfortable and enjoy ourselves; it was evident in every aspect of our stay here. All our crazy questions were answered and we learned so much about the area. We were given as much privacy as we wanted, with the added bonus of any help we could need. The Mayan Riviera has grown into such a large, almost Cosmopolitan area, but Puerto Morales and this little B and B still have that small Pueblo feel. It was a neighborhood and it was obvious that neighbors helped neighbors. By staying here we felt we were invited in to the little town. Through our host's recommendations, we ate at great local restaurants and shopped at authentic little shops. This place was better than a vacation away from home, It was a vacation in a home.
