Like the name implies, we at the Alaska Serenity Lodge believe your travel to Alaska should be worry free and full of true Alaskan Adventure. Perfect for large or small parties, our lodge is impeccably placed at the heart of the Kenai Peninsula in the small fishing town of Soldotna, Alaska. Soldotna is the home of the Kenai River and the keeper of the World Record 97.4 lb King Salmon. Alaska Serenity Lodge sits over looking Denise Lake, a large floatplane lake just 5 minutes from down town Soldotna. We are far enough out of town that you will never hear the traffic but just a few minutes drive from all major amenities in the area. Our log home and surrounding cabins are placed perfectly on the lake to soak up the morning sun and immerse yourself in the Alaskan outdoors.
Our large King Salmon Log Home can sleep 8-12 guests. It has four bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. Each bedroom has 2 twin beds that can joined together with a create-a-king to make a king sized bed for couples. There is also a full sized futon, and a queen sized aerobed air mattress in two separate living areas for extra guests.
Our Mallard's Nest Cabin and Back Country Cabin both sleep 2-3 guests. Each Cabin is a 1 bedroom/1 bathroom with a full sized futon in the living area. Again, the bedrooms have 2 twin beds for fishermen, or they can be combined into a King for a couple.
Sitting on the large decks, one can enjoy the lake, the lawn and birch trees, often visited by moose, squirrels, birds, and rabbits. You can stroll down to the water’s edge and follow the lake’s bank, watching the waterfowl such as Mallards, Loons and Swans. Whether you need a peaceful place to lay your head while passing through Soldotna, or you want help filling your vacation with adventure, come and stay with us at Alaska Serenity Lodge. We pride ourselves on being a Lodge that can help make your Alaskan dreams come true.
Enjoy world-class fishing on the surrounding Kenai Peninsula. Alaska Serenity Lodge is only three miles from downtown Soldotna and the world-famous Kenai River, and a short distance from other great fishing areas like the Kasilof River, and Russian River. Get ready to experience all Alaska has to offer, and it doesn’t stop with the fishing! Our central location on the Kenai Peninsula allows our guests to take short scenic day trips to other well known Alaskan cities like Homer and Seward. We can help you mix in a combination of Alaskan adventures with your fishing trips, such as Bear Viewing, White Water Rafting Class IV and V Rapids, a Kenai Fjords Tour of Glaciers and abundant Sea Life, and even an 18 Hole Golf Course is just minutes from the Lodge.

We've traveled all over Alaska and realized that our area has the best of everything. We are centrally located on Kenai Peninsula, which is world renowned for outdoor adventure. Few places in the world can compare to the fishing, hiking, hunting, and exploring that the Soldotna/Kenai areas provide. The world record King Salmon was caught only 3 miles from our front door!
It's difficult to find a better placed property than Alaska Serenity Lodge. We are perfectly place on a large float plane lake, amongst wilderness and wildlife, but just minutes from restaurants, grocery stores, bars and all other amenities. Our units offer the privacy of being alone in your rental house/cabin, and can accommodate a large party wanting to travel together. This is the true Alaskan experience.
My friends and I go on a fishing trip once a year to somewhere special. We traveled from California And Washington to Alaska. Alaska Serinity Lodge is the complete experience in travel, rustic in nature, sitting on a private lake, with fly out options, and a variety of guide options. They made sure we had everything from rental car, the best guides in the area, and even options to pack and ship our catch home. They sent us pre trip packages at least 4 months in advance so we coiuld plan on what gear to bring and what to expect in weather, We stayed in the main lodge. It is a combination of rustic in appearence, with all of the modern stuff you could want, including internet, and flat screens, to a fire pit by the lake if you just want to unwind after a big day on the water. The lodge was clean, the interior decorated in local decor--It was perfect in every way. Our hosts, The Richardsons made sure we had everything we needed, and were always available for any special requests.
We are planning our next trip to Alaska Serenity right now-- It was awesome-- oh yea and we caught some monster fish !!
We were very pleased with our stay at the King Salmon Log Home at Serenity Lodge. The setting was beautiful. The lodge is well maintained and has a warm and friendly atmosphere. The lake is awesome as well. My extended family, all ten of us, were pleasantly surprised by many things. To begin with, Katie and Elizabeth were very helpful in getting me information about activities in the area. I relied on Katie almost exclusively in planning my trip and she was right on target in all of her recommendations. Secondly, we very much appreciated the attention to detail at the lodge. Everything we could have needed was there. They have several freezers for fish. They had canoes and a paddleboat for the lake. Most importantly, they got all the little things right. I did not have to worry about paper products, linens, dishes, (they even had a slow cooker) or coffee. They even had marshmallow sticks, newspaper for starting the fire and wood a plenty. The beds were very comfortable and the heavy shades on the windows made it easy to sleep in the land of the midnight sun. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone visiting the area. It was ideally situated for fishing, sightseeing in Homer and Seward and doing the glacier boat tour of the Kenai fjords. We had a great time. It was the trip of a lifetime.
We stayed in the apartment beside the garage and found it very very clean and comfortable. Everything was there that we needed to cook, the linens were very plush and clean and the owners couldn't have been more accommodating. The gas grill was an added benefit that was handy for cooking. I would recommend this to anyone going to the Kenai peninsula for fishing. Location wise, it is very handy and comfortable.
A great location close to town and easy to reach yet secluded and private. A beautiful cabin with lots of room. We had a great stay, there were four adults in our group. We used the vaccume sealer and the freezer there to store our catch until we left. We even tried out the hot tub a few time. The setting is so beautiful on the edge of the lake, we have fond memories eating at the kitchen/dinning room table and looking out at the lake through the large picture window.
I really can't think of anything they could do to make it better. And the few times we needed anything the owers were always helpful and friendly.
Free canoes, and paddle boat to use around the lake, bicycles to use for exploring the area, and some fishing supplies for local bank fishing. Just be aware of the abundant wildlife!
