About Greg Tonello

Kim and I enjoyed our visits to Tahoe so much we just had to have a small piece we could call our own. Now we can offer to share the beauty and adventures to be had with all.

Greg Tonello purchased this cabin in 1990

Why Greg Tonello chose Homewood

I have been enjoying summers at Tahoe since 1960 when my parents purchased their Homewood property. We had looked throughout the West Shore for the perfect location and when we were given opportunity to buy the property next door we couldn't pass it up. The West Shore is truly the Best Shore for it's small community serenity and peacefulness yet ready access to all the Tahoe has to offer.

Great base of operations for an activity-filled Tahoe weekend! Perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

This place is in a GREAT location on the west shore with easy access to everything that side of the lake has to offer! My husband and I stayed with my dog in early October and found it to be a super comfy base of operations. I think it's important to mention that the cabin consists of a kitchen area and bedroom- no designated "living space". This was not a problem for us because we were out and about the whole weekend. Just a heads up for those looking for a more cozy, "lounge around the cabin" weekend. All in all, it's an awesome little place in a wonderful neighborhood. (So close to Homewood!!)

Also, Greg and his wife were GREAT hosts. Very responsive and proactive with communication leading up to our stay.

Great cozy getaway in the woods

We loved celebrating our one year anniversary in this cute cabin! Very cozy! We spent as much time as we could on the front porch amongst the beautiful trees. Also loved the all wood shower!

Cute tiny cabin- cozy deck. Wonderful owners

We enjoyed hiking from the cabin up to Quail lake and our dog had a lovely time chasing squirrels. Very friendly owners and neighbors - complimentary use of two cruiser bikes was a fun bonus

A Great Time

  • 5 of 5

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable time at this quiet little cabin. Its' very clean (I loved that) , quiet and the location is superb with the bike path just steps away and the cabin come with two very nice bikes! No TV, so it encouraged you to relax, get out and do activities! The kitchen comes equipped to cook, but bring you own spices, etc. The deck is charming with the bistro lights, patio furniture and a nice BBQ (which we didn't use). Oh, we did manage to watch Netflix! Greg the owner is very responsive should you need anything. It was perfect for us 3 (my husband, our family dog and myself). Thank you.
