About Greg Tonello

Kim and I enjoyed our visits to Tahoe so much we just had to have a small piece we could call our own. Now we can offer to share the beauty and adventures to be had with all.

Greg Tonello purchased this cabin in 1990

Why Greg Tonello chose Lake Tahoe West Shore CA

I have been enjoying summers at Tahoe since 1960 when my parents purchased their Homewood property. We had looked throughout the West Shore for the perfect location and when we were given opportunity to buy the property next door we couldn't pass it up. The West Shore is truly the Best Shore for it's small community serenity and peacefulness yet ready access to all the Tahoe has to offer.

Great location and perfect for a get-away

  • 5 of 5

We had the pleasure of staying in this cabin in the middle of July. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Kim and Greg, who were more than kind and helpful! The cabin is small but perfect for a couple, or even a family of 4. Very clean, and had everything we needed. Kim and Greg, and their family, welcomed us as if we were long lost friends (which now I would like to consider them our friends..) and helped us with anything we needed. The location of the cabin is directly across the road from Obexer's marina, where we launched our boat and enjoyed the lake. Although Homewood is a very small town, there is a convenience store at Obexer's and Tahoe City is a short drive down the road for major shopping or dining. For the price, hospitality, and the wonderful time we had, I highly recommend this cabin as somewhere to stay in Lake Tahoe and we will definitely be booking with them again!

Tranquility At It's Finest

  • 5 of 5

As a frequent traveler, I value the experience of other's feedback. This quiet cabin in Homewood, is just that and more. Quiet, beautiful inside and out, rustic in a comfy "away-from-the-city" environment, and close to so much to enjoy of Lake Tahoe. Easy to drive on down the road, a close or distant walk, to adventures on a beach, a trail, to local general store, parks restaurants and more are close. It is all right there. This cabin nestled off the road in tall mountain trees was such a wonderful place to enjoy an early morning breakfast just cooked on the ol' gas stove and sit out on the patio to start each day. Ownership was such a pleasure to deal with and was so welcoming and hospitable. This is a destination I surely would love to return to. Highly recommended to suit a tranquil and relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle of the stresses of life.

Perfect week in Lake Tahoe

I stayed in this beautiful little cabin for a week alone and it was excellent! I was visiting the area for a wedding and throughly enjoyed exploring the lake and surrounding areas. The Tonello's are lovely people and I 100% recommend staying in their superb little cabin, it has everything you need and more.

Charming Tahoe Treasure!

  • 5 of 5

Greg and Kim,

We just wanted to say Thank You! Thank you for sharing such a wonderful treasure with us! We had an awesome time! It was so nice to kick back and do fun things with the girls! This was our first time in Tahoe and it won’t be our last! It was great to meet you and your suggestions were so helpful! The cabin is truly charming and was so clean and inviting! We hung out on the deck, ate and played games. The bikes were a great way to take in the area (even if the altitude was a bit much!). Sunrise on the dock – need I say more!

Again, thank you for everything!

Tahoe Treasure!

  • 5 of 5

Take a step back to a simpler time by staying in this wonderful cabin. Charming and perfect down to the smallest detail! The queen bed was perfect for my spouse and I, and there is a set of bunks for 2 others. We ate all of our meals on the inviting deck, which is like an additional outdoor room. The huge evergreen trees provide shade and privacy. The Homewood area on the west side of Lake Tahoe, still has the old Tahoe feeling I remember from my childhood. We rode our bikes everywhere. The owners were warm and kind, very helpful and yet gave us our privacy. We will be back again!

Wonderful, little cabin!

  • 5 of 5

This little cabin is perfect for two people and is very cozy and comfortable, within short distance to local activities and attractions. We enjoyed the pretty porch with hanging lights for breakfast and dinner, and the charming, old fashioned kitchen! We would definitely recommend this cabin to friends.
