About Greg Tonello

Kim and I enjoyed our visits to Tahoe so much we just had to have a small piece we could call our own. Now we can offer to share the beauty and adventures to be had with all.

Greg Tonello purchased this cabin in 1990

Why Greg Tonello chose Lake Tahoe West Shore CA

I have been enjoying summers at Tahoe since 1960 when my parents purchased their Homewood property. We had looked throughout the West Shore for the perfect location and when we were given opportunity to buy the property next door we couldn't pass it up. The West Shore is truly the Best Shore for it's small community serenity and peacefulness yet ready access to all the Tahoe has to offer.

Charming Tahoe Treasure!

  • 5 of 5

Greg and Kim,

We just wanted to say Thank You! Thank you for sharing such a wonderful treasure with us! We had an awesome time! It was so nice to kick back and do fun things with the girls! This was our first time in Tahoe and it won’t be our last! It was great to meet you and your suggestions were so helpful! The cabin is truly charming and was so clean and inviting! We hung out on the deck, ate and played games. The bikes were a great way to take in the area (even if the altitude was a bit much!). Sunrise on the dock – need I say more!

Again, thank you for everything!

Tahoe Treasure!

  • 5 of 5

Take a step back to a simpler time by staying in this wonderful cabin. Charming and perfect down to the smallest detail! The queen bed was perfect for my spouse and I, and there is a set of bunks for 2 others. We ate all of our meals on the inviting deck, which is like an additional outdoor room. The huge evergreen trees provide shade and privacy. The Homewood area on the west side of Lake Tahoe, still has the old Tahoe feeling I remember from my childhood. We rode our bikes everywhere. The owners were warm and kind, very helpful and yet gave us our privacy. We will be back again!

Wonderful, little cabin!

  • 5 of 5

This little cabin is perfect for two people and is very cozy and comfortable, within short distance to local activities and attractions. We enjoyed the pretty porch with hanging lights for breakfast and dinner, and the charming, old fashioned kitchen! We would definitely recommend this cabin to friends.

Incredible place !!

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a wonderful experience in this charming cabin. It was everything we wanted - cozy, close to the lake, with a deck, and wonderful owners to boot! All kinds of activities within a few minutes - swimming, hiking, jet skiing, and kayaking. Kid loved and so did we, highly recommend it for a true taste of Tahoe.

Who needs Europe? Italy? The South of France? This place has everything you want in spades. My husband and I stayed here while celebrating our 20th anniversary, and I wouldn't have changed a thing. This cabin is beyond adorable. It has all the charm of yesteryear while still providing modern amenities that make life comfortable so you only feel like you're roughing it, but in reality, everything you need is at your fingertips. The location of this cabin could not be better if you want to pretend you're a local. It is tucked back off of the main road that circles the lake, yet is only a short jaunt to the water when you want to cool off or try your luck at paddleboarding, kayaking, etc. This cabin was spotless when we arrived, as if it had been waiting only for us. The owners were extraordinarily helpful in discerning our level of adventurousness, and recommended phenomenal bike rides, hikes, and other activities that were perfect for us. My husband is extremely fit and I wish I was, but we found many fun things to do that were a challenge for myself and a mild exertion for my husband resulting in not even one bead of sweat! If you are looking for a place to recharge and reconnect with someone special look no further. Peace and tranquility await you at this little gem, where you can forget about every day annoyances and focus on each other. If that isn't romantic, tell me what is!
