About Nate and Kendra Lindell

Native Oregonian Nate Lindell and his wife Kendra, have spent countless hours on Detroit Lake and in the neighboring forests and invite you to experience one of Oregon's great natural treasures—beautiful Detroit Lake. In fact, Nate proposed to Kendra right on the shores of this very lake. When Nate is not enjoying the surroundings of the wild frontier, he is hard at work pioneering the quality assurance engineering field. They love Oregon and love sharing it with others even more.

Nate and Kendra Lindell purchased this house in 2007

Had a wonderful weekend!

  • 4 of 5

Really enjoyed our annual tree hunt at your home! It did snow up in the mountains so the kids all loved it and got to sled. It's our second time at your place and both years you made sure to have wood delivered so we could enjoy that beautiful fireplace. Thank you so much! My husband did mention that the master bedroom should have a chair or bench to sit on.. He had to sit on the floor and put his socks on!! Overall, we love your place and we so thankful we could be there again this year! Have a Merry Christmas!!

Owner's Response: Hello again JoAnne! We’re very happy to hear you had such a great return trip to the Lodge! Thank you for the kind works and feedback about adding a chair to the bedroom. I can honestly say that never crossed our minds. Merry Christmas

The location is great, the house is nice and well equipped.

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay.

But you can tell the house has been a rental for awhile as there is quite a bit of maintenance that needs doing.

There were about a dozen or more light bulbs burnt out and none in the house to replace them. The kitchen faucet is broken, leaks water and sprays badly. No turn table in the microwave. Most of the dishes were chipped or cracked.

This house could be much better with some proper care.

But it was comfortable and we all had a good time.

Great place for a once-in-a-lifetime experience

  • 4 of 5

Our extended family was luckily enough to book the house for the eclipse. Wow. The house was comfortable and spacious enough for 9 adults and two kids. A 2-minute walk and we were at the lake for totality.

The owners, Nate and Kendra, were very helpful. Even to the point of checking out where the sun would be visible at the critical start time.

Yes, there were some things that weren't perfect -- a futon that wouldn't extend and not quite enough sheets to fit all the beds. But the basics were all there -- and we had a very good time. When operator error caused the fridge to stop (we left the door open and it shut off to prevent overheating), a quick call to the owners yielded a quick response on a Sunday night.

We'll be back

Couldn't of asked for a better spot!

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't of asked for anything more! Perfect location to town and water. It was so nice just to walk down the driveway and take a swim or a leisurely stroll into town. The house was perfect for the handful of teens we had. Spacious house with an open floor plan up stairs. The deck was wonderful for evening meals. The owners were wonderful to work with and I will absolutely rent this place again.
