Excellent, couldnt have been better!!!

Everything on our stay, was great. We got our coffee and walked out in the morning, to a beautiful sunrise. We saw dolphins, or porpoises, right at the fishing dock, pretty cool! We caught crabs for bait in the trap off the dock, and caught shrimp with our throw net. We caught our bait, and caught fish with our bait. We caught specs, sand trout, black drum, croakers, and got enough to eat for a few nights. We loved the gazebo, and the winds blowing off the bay, while enjoying some drinks, and cool evenings. The house itself, has its unique character, as all do, but it was great for us! Kitchen is upstairs, and had EVERYTHING we was well stocked with everything needed to cook. There were way more linens than our party of 4 needed. Great views from the upper deck. The town was "sleepy", and homely, just how we like it. The people in stores, and restaurants, are exceptionally, polite, and friendly. We bought shrimp to bring home, right off the boat, in town. The couple of times I had to contact the owners, BECAUSE I LOST ALL MY INFO, MY FAULT, they were easy to contact, friendly, and wonderful. Can't wait to go again! Trey and Sis

THANK YOU again for opening up your house to us! We really enjoyed our stay! We didn't get to do any night fishing at our own pier since the light was out, but there were several other piers in the area that we were able to enjoy! We loved the location & how while it was in town, you weren't really bothered by "busyness". We got to watch lots of birds & we even got to see some dolphins, while we were fishing during the day!

Advice: don't forget the bug spray! The mosquitoes were CRAZY BAD!

Perfect weekend

  • 5 of 5

We went here for our honeymoon and it was very relaxing and just what I was looking for. There are neighbors but you almost wouldn't know it. We enjoyed fishing from the pier and our morning coffee on the deck.

The owner is very friendly and answered what few questions I had.

I would definitely recommend this place to anybody who wants a quiet getaway in Palacios.
