Another Great Stay!

  • 5 of 5

Back for our second year in a row on our annual trek from New Mexico to Wisconsin. Enjoyed our stay and the great weather....highs around 90! Plenty of train activity on the BNSF and had an opportunity to take a Mississippi River cruise! Hit the local bar for a few drinks, something to eat and watched part of the Packer game. The patrons there are always so welcoming. Did some wife really enjoys the wonderful kitchen. Aimee is great to work with and keeps the house immaculate. Will be back in 2016!

Beautiful Home

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for the 4th time and we just love the place and the area. I do a lot of my own cooking and always find all the necessary cooking utensils in the kitchen. We love to sit on the screened porch for meals and relaxation time. The gas barbeque by the screened in porch is a plus. There are restaurants in town if you prefer to eat out. The house is always immaculate. We expect to return next summer.

Train Lover's Paradise with great view of the Might Miss!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay so much last August that we will be back this September for a couple of nights on our way to Green Bay and Door County. What a beautiful location and view of the Mississippi River, not to mention all the train traffic compliments of the BNSF Railway! Great accommodations and Ferryville is a friendly community. We just love it but you really have to enjoy the passing trains! The house is so well done and neat. A couple of nice local bars to grab a drink and something to eat otherwise the house has a great kitchen. Thanks for the experience!

Beautiful Home on the Mississippi

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I have been to this beautiful home three times and plan to go back next year again. It is perfect for us and we love the whole area. I especially love the sunsets almost every evening. I have taken at least a dozen pictures that I

can look at all winter. The house itself is great. It is always clean and perfect. It has a fireplace for cold weather and it has an outdoor fire pit for enjoyment. The Jacuzzi is a real plus. We could even watch the sunsets from it. The kitchen is great. It has everything a cook could possible want. I did a lot of cooking and found everything I needed. The trains do pass in back of the house but we love trains and they did not bother us. In fact there was a week with few to no trains and we missed seeing them. There are three pub/restaurant within walking distance. There is a market right down the block that carries a little of everything if you forget to bring something you need. There is a dock and fishing pier down the street for fisherman. There are some good restaurants nearby. Lansing Iowa. about ten miles away has several eating places. The Great River Road House in De Soto, Wi. about 7 miles away has a great view of the Mississippi, great food and pizza. This house is just a great get away spot.

Wonderful Home

Spent 4 nights. Very nicely furnished, great kitchen and right on the Mississippi. Lot's to do in surrounding areas (not much in Ferryville). Beautiful woods, trails, State Parks.

Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Well thought out charming and superbly clean little house right on river. Watch trains go by and enjoy the fireplace. Awesome kitchen to cook a good meal. Aimee was very personable and put a lot of attention to details in the bedding, stocking the kitchen and a most comfortable sofa for relaxing.
