This house is the real thing! The home is over one hundred years old. The original owners of this house dug the dirt and baked the adobe bricks themselves to build their house. This authentic 500 square foot home has not been overly remodeled maintaining the feel of Santa Fe's old world charm. The location could not be better on the historic east side. Our guests have been coming back and requesting this little charmer for 15 years now!
Quiet and secluded, the house is only 1 1/2 blocks to Canyon Road by the art gallery district and where some of my favorite restaurants are, and less than a mile, approximately a 12-15 minute walk to the famed Plaza. You will stay 1/2 block to one of Santa Fe's local’s favorite bookstore and coffee shop. This casita is the first of the growing inventory of "Two Casitas," furnished and painted in Mexican style, this spacious studio features a king size bed, flat screen cable TV and comfortable sleeper sofa in the same room, brick floors with a gorgeous Russian sumac rug. The house is graced with original paintings by well-known local artists such as famed Phyllis Kapp of Waxlander gallery (owner of Two Casitas, Wendy Kapp's mother.) This casita offers a full and separate kitchen and dining area. Casa Paloma has a private bath with a shower only. Warm yourself by the gas-burning fireplace or in the hot tub. Soak up the sun on the front portal, or porch. Double French doors open up into your large back yard as well. Watch the sun set and gaze at all the stars from mhere. Flag stone patio table and chairs with barbeque, a shared yet completely private and enclosed hot tub with the three-bedroom house next door. Maraposa. Paloma casita is a very private and separate guesthouse from the main house. If you have a larger party, you can also rent the Maraposa all at the same address in this compound.
Additional fees on this property are 15.456% tax. and a one time cleaning fee of $75.

About Wendy Kapp
A note from Wendy Kapp- Owner of Two Casitas Santa Fe Vacation Rentals Having been raised in Chicago, my soul longed for the massive blue skies and mountains I first saw when my mother, well-known watercolor artist Phyllis Kapp of Waxlander Gallery, introduced me to this magnificent area when I was 6 years old. While returning west in 1975, I came through Santa Fe and fell in love with Northern New Mexico once again. I found the people here, especially back in '75, to be the most authentic people I had ever met and I decided to make Santa Fe my home. My extensive knowledge from living here for since 1975 makes me the perfect, local hostess to give you tips on making your stay memorable. I hope you come to love Santa Fe and, in-turn Two Casitas, as much as I do.

Peaceful and charming!
We loved our stay in the Paloma unit. It was clean, quiet, comfortable, and decorated in a charming Santa Fe style. The kitchen was really well stocked, and we were very happily surprised by the large and very private outdoor area, including a hot tub surrounded by twinkle lights! It was a perfect place to enjoy the fresh air and birdsong of Santa Fe. We were in easy walking distance of the plaza and galleries. Would definitely stay here again!
Cozy spot with great location!
My husband and I spent a couple of days in the Paloma Casita. It was really clean, and had some lovely goodies of the snack and beverage variety awaiting us when we arrived. Communication with the owners and access to the property was super easy. Since looking at the pictures, the space has been updated with some more neutral colors, furniture, and rugs. It looks really lovely. It is quite a small space inside, but we really enjoyed having a cozy place to unwind in the evening, including the back yard/patio area and hot tub. We were albe to easily walk to the Plaza from here, and it was also a convenient location for some jaunts we made for hiking and sight-seeing out of town. I'd only recommend it for folks who are comfortable with close quarters, which was definitely for us. Thanks so much for the hospitality.
Clean and quiet!
The house was very clean and in a nice, quiet neighborhood. The bed was very comfortable, the gas stove heater was nice and toasty, and the size was perfect for a long weekend with my wife. Our only minor complaint was the lack of Kleenex and hand soap. Overall we had a wonderful weekend and would stay again in a heartbeat!

Very small with low ceilings
Photos are great...enough said.
The management company is fabulous and moved us to a gorgeous property on the square.
We are sorry that this home didn't meet your expectations. It is very cozy and we understand that with a dog and a child it may have been too small. We are happy that you enjoyed your time in the other home and that your trip was great overall.
Cozy and Classic Santa Fe Getaway!
What a quintessential and cozy Santa Fe hideaway! The furniture, painted walls and rustic adobe feel was exactly what we wanted. The location to Canyon Rd. was so close we easily went back and forth numerous times each day. Loved the hot tub and every other little detail that was part of this perfect week! We will happily stay in this casita again!
We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your home! Muchas Gracias for staying with us and hope to see you in Santa Fe again!
