This house is the real thing! The home is over one hundred years old. The original owners of this house dug the dirt and baked the adobe bricks themselves to build their house. This authentic 500 square foot home has not been overly remodeled maintaining the feel of Santa Fe's old world charm. The location could not be better on the historic east side. Our guests have been coming back and requesting this little charmer for 15 years now!
Quiet and secluded, the house is only 1 1/2 blocks to Canyon Road by the art gallery district and where some of my favorite restaurants are, and less than a mile, approximately a 12-15 minute walk to the famed Plaza. You will stay 1/2 block to one of Santa Fe's local’s favorite bookstore and coffee shop. This casita is the first of the growing inventory of "Two Casitas," furnished and painted in Mexican style, this spacious studio features a king size bed, flat screen cable TV and comfortable sleeper sofa in the same room, brick floors with a gorgeous Russian sumac rug. The house is graced with original paintings by well-known local artists such as famed Phyllis Kapp of Waxlander gallery (owner of Two Casitas, Wendy Kapp's mother.) This casita offers a full and separate kitchen and dining area. Casa Paloma has a private bath with a shower only. Warm yourself by the gas-burning fireplace or in the hot tub. Soak up the sun on the front portal, or porch. Double French doors open up into your large back yard as well. Watch the sun set and gaze at all the stars from mhere. Flag stone patio table and chairs with barbeque, a shared yet completely private and enclosed hot tub with the three-bedroom house next door. Maraposa. Paloma casita is a very private and separate guesthouse from the main house. If you have a larger party, you can also rent the Maraposa all at the same address in this compound.
