Peace and Tranquility

  • 5 of 5

We just arrived home from a much needed getaway! Your home was so peaceful and the energy was very soothing. The living area was like being in a tree house as every window had a view of trees. Kitchen was full equipped and the downstairs bedoom was so comfy. It was awesome laying in bed reading a book and looking out the slider only to see a beautiful deer coming for a visit. Our Aussies Macy and Maxwell felt right at home! Thank you for having such a wonderful getaway. ..and the Fairy Tree was a fun touch..haven't seen a fairy tree since my visit to Scotland visiting family...brought back fun memories! We will be back! Warm regards, Cynthia

Loved it

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful secluded mountain cabin. Loved loved loved it. Had everything we needed and wanted. My eight year old grandson said it was the best cabin he's ever stayed in. My grandson love seeing all the turkeys and deer and cows. Being a city boy he thought it was awesome! We even had deer in the backyard the first afternoon. We really enjoyed how much room there was to move around in the cabin. The refrigerator was huge and that was a plus. We had a fire in the fireplace each evening and played Monopoly continuously.

Secluded. quiet mountain retreat

  • 4 of 5

This property is wonderful for a couples getaway or for two adults and one or two kids. It is a tri-level with the living room and a nice, big wood-burning fireplace on the top level, the kitchen, eating area and half-bath on the second level and the two bedrooms and full bath on the lower level. It is clean and very comfortably furnished. The deck outside the living-room level provides a wonderful, sunny, elevated vantage from which you can enjoy your morning coffee and the great outdoors. There is a lot of land area around the house (no nearby neighbors) and it sits at the end of a county road so it is a very quiet, secluded location. It is steps from the entrance to the William Heise County Park so you can easily walk to the park and some of the park hiking trails. I would give the property a five-star rating except, if there are additional or large adults, it has a less-than-ideal bathroom setup. There is only one very small shower (no tub).

Wonderfully Quiet and close Julian

  • 4 of 5

The property is in great condition and very quiet. The kitchen is well stocked with all the dishes and pans necessary to make some wonderful meals in the home. The beds are comfortable along with all the furnishings. We loved how close the property was to the state park and the hiking all around as well.

Peace and Quite

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was everything we were looking for. We also liked the park being close. Enjoyed the trials and did lots of hiking. All in all this made a very enjoyable anniversary for us. It was also nice that it was dog friendly .

Wilderness setting, Homey atmosphere, Comforts aplenty !

  • 5 of 5

My best girlfriend and I brought our two dogs and spent two nights here - a getaway and "home base" for a long awaited day trip to the Anza-Borrego wildflowers. Charmed immediately by the brilliant tulips blooming all around the front yard of this modern home nestled at the end of a road. Pine trees soaring high and all the wildlife you could want to entertain you. We especially loved watching and hearing the wild turkeys take their walks through the leaves, the blue jays twittering among the trees and even saw 5 deer cross the road while driving into Julian one afternoon. Delightful town with more creative shops than you can visit in one trip, high quality restaurants to delight your culinary tastes [Jeremy's on the Hill, Romano's & Carmen's]. I've been to many vrbo homes and this is among the best ! You won't be disappointed....
