Wonderful cottage on the lake
We enjoyed our recent stay at the Butterfield Cottage. We were in town for a wedding we attended in Lyndonville. The location was perfect and the cottage was clean and everything we expected. The views of the lake were tremendous. We would definitely consider staying here again.
Cute and private
We enjoyed the cottage very much. Beautiful view.
Prior to booking this cottage, I was looking for a quiet, relaxing place on the lake to rent. Our goal was to visit Niagara Falls State Park, however, I did not want to stay by the falls or in Buffalo. This is a beautiful cottage right along the shore of Lake Ontario. It is about 50 minutes from the Falls, but a very nice drive along the lake. It was extremely hot, so after spending all day at the falls, a quick dip in the lake was wonderful along with the beautiful sunsets. There is no air conditioning (which we knew) so the cottage was warm, but there are plenty of fans. The cottage is comfortable and is well stocked with everything you need to cook with. We were hoping to cook out on the grill once we arrived, however, there was no charcoal to cook with. That was the only issue we had. Otherwise, it is clean, spacious, plenty of towels, has a nice covered back deck. Perfect place to relax, drink your morning coffee, watch the waves, watch the spectacular sunsets. Nice size yard leading down to the water. There was no ladder, but there was no issue getting into the water. I would definitely recommend this rental. I brought my adult children with me and my son's dog. I am hoping to return again next time we visit this area. Thank you, Lori for your prompt reply to our inquiry and we loved your cottage! AWESOME stay! Place is great and great people to work with! Will DEFINITELY rent again!
great place to stay
overall everyone loved the place. only downfall is the drain in shower and sink didn't go down that well and the mosquitoes just ate me alive cause I didn't spray repellent on me. I would definitely stay there again but with better mosquito repellent.
Just what the Dr ordered!
Stayed at the Butterfield Cottage with my two pets for six days for peace & relaxation. The only thing I heard were the birds and the waves; it was very peaceful. Everything was provided from cooking utensils to bathroom essentials. Stayed within the boundaries so not problems from the neighbors. This was just what I needed! Will definitely stay again.
