About the property

Sedona Casita in private Ranch community

2 Studios are available, each with a private entrance and fenced yard.

(1) Casita View (north facing) is pet friendly and has side yard fenced for pet, offers unlimited expansive red rock views and access to pond and tropical oasis, plus a single sleeper sofa allows for a 3rd person. (2) Casita South features a private gate entrance, larger fenced and treed yard, covered patio with mountain views, with exquisite flagstone floors and new queen bed, and is pet FREE for those who have allergies. Both casitas feature original oil paintings, top of the line queen beds, linens and privacy, with views from your pillow top. Perfect for quiet star gazing and quiet ranch style living. Close to trail heads and access to 350 miles of nature, yet only 2 miles to groceries & conveniences.

**Our studios have microwaves, mini-fridge, coffee/tea, and outdoor BBQ. There is NOT a proper kitchen for meal preparation or indoor cooking.

THOSE WHO LOVE TO HIKE AND BIKE, the local horse trail is only a block away. Hundreds of miles of single-track mountain biking, quick access is a few residential streets away. Bell Rock & Cathedral loop are the two most popular trails right in your back yard!

THOSE WHO LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY, Sedona offers endless excuses to bring your camera gear. This property is owned by a professional wedding & portrait photographer, who teaches privately and small groups, the fine art of landscape portraits photography.

THOSE WHO FOLLOW THE ENERGY VORTEXES, awake to see the stunning glow of first light upon Bell Rock. Take a jeep tour to learn of all of the vortexes, or a hot air balloon ride at dawn. Zip through the canyons in a 4x4, see all the places to explore.

YOUR PRIVATE RETREAT offers a cozy studio with a private patio and ranch style expansive VIEWS. Room 1 has access to the ponds, fruit trees, camp-fire, BBQ grill and an abundance of wildlife. CAUTION: you may see javalina, bobcats, bull elk, coyotes and an occasional mountain lion ... Yes, you read that correctly. Two jaguars have been spotted twice in our neighborhood over the past few years. This is extremely rare in Arizona. Not to be confused with the two golden retrievers that will happily greet you upon your arrival! We welcome you to bring pets, and even have a fenced dog-run with shelter for your convenience, if needed.

INCLUDED, in your stay is a microwave, coffee maker, tea & coffee, mini-fridge, and a few utensils for the BBQ grill. Complimentary high speed wireless internet, Apple TV Box(with Netflix), DVD Library, all linens & towels. Swimming pool and hot tub are available at the nearby Hilton resort for a small resort fee, as well as a luxurious massage.

About Marlene Imus / Bonnie Miller

Northern AZ resident for 25 years, the hiking and biking capital of Sedona is my life home. When I am not biking with my dogs, I am photographing weddings and creating fine art landscape portraits. I love beautiful surroundings, and spend time nurturing the grounds, covered in fruit trees, flowers, and ponds. My favorite travels take me to Bend, Oregon, Whistler Bike Park, Banff, Moab, and the summer trails of Colorado.

Marlene Imus / Bonnie Miller purchased this house in 2004

Why Marlene Imus / Bonnie Miller chose Sedona

VIEWS and PRIVACY, red rocks and expansive dark starry skies! Seclusion within a private horse ranch neighborhood, quiet, yet only 2 miles to conveniences. Close to I-17 for quick day trips to the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon, and Canyon De Chelly. Casita North (1) has a fire pit under the stars for calm evenings, and a BBQ on your back patio overlooking the expansive red rock views. The koi pond is situated in the wide open backyard and is easily accessible. July is peach picking and August is Fuyu persimmons and pomegranate picking from the 15 fruit trees that decorate the acre.

What makes this house unique

Horse boarding down the street with immediate trail access, amazing views, extremely private, convenient to shopping, restaurants and coffee shops. Pond and backyard oasis is lush and pristine. Day trips to Oak Creek, Flagstaff pines, Fossil Creek, Jerome, Williams, Payson. Winter activities include snow skiing, or sledding in Flagstaff, hiking and mountain biking. Camp Verde's Cliff Castle Casino 15 miles south.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Thank you so much for the wonderful place to stay during my time in Sedona. I will HIGHLY recommend it to my friends. I just loved and really appreciated how luxurious the linens were -- from the sheets to the towels, as well as the wonderful pillows. All the details .... superb!

Second Visit Was as Nice as the First

  • 5 of 5

We decided to stay at the casita again since we had such a nice stay in 2014. We weren't disappointed. We love being a bit off the beaten path since it's so quiet and peaceful. The room is spacious and comfortable, the views are wonderful and it's just a few minutes drive to get anywhere. When we're in Sedona we like to be away from it all and the casita is a great way to do it.

Beautiful quiet place

  • 5 of 5

I enjoyed a four day stay here and loved it. The scenery from the patio is spectacular and the Japanese inspired garden with trickling stream and small waterfall is very calming. The large living/bedroom room with pantry for microwave, fridge, coffee maker is simple and sufficient. It comes with a resident friendly cat named "Megatron" which I enjoyed having inside and out. She can stay out of course if you choose. Marlene was very helpful in some transportation logistics I needed solved. The property is next to a horse boarding facility. I highly recommend it for its peaceful location and scenery overlooking the red rocks.

Beautiful, Relaxing, Peaceful Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We spent 3 wonderful nights in the Cassita. It was perfect for our needs and greatly surpassed our expectations based on the pictures. Tucked away in a quiet local area of Oak Creek, it was just far enough away from the busy touristy areas in Sedona, yet just a short drive to the great hikes we did (Bell Rock, Cathedral Rock, Devils Bridge and Boynton Canyon),. Bonnie is such a gracious host. She and the place have such a peaceful, positive energy. The Cassita was clean and spacious and the bed was comfy. We felt welcomed by coffee, books, trail maps, games, movies and our own fridge. This place is special and we were proud to call it home for 3 days. Thanks for sharing it with us Bonnie!

Our best trip to Sedona!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary with a 2-day stay at the pet-friendly Casita. Everything you see on the website is as described (and then some). Our fun-loving dog loved it as much as we did. Nothing short of 4 paws up!

Peaceful and beautiful stay

  • 5 of 5

I loved that this property was removed from the main area of town so that we could start and end our day in such peaceful surroundings. The property is clean and has everything you need. Maureen greeted us upon arrival and when we were leaving. She was so sweet to my children and our dog.
