Aloha and welcome to our ground floor condo at the Kamaole Sands Resort in South Kihei, Maui. You are invited to stay in this vacation home-away-from home located across the street from picturesque Kamaole Beach III Park, one of the most popular beaches in Maui for swimming, snorkeling, whale watching in season, sitting under expansive shade trees or enjoying colorful Maui sunsets. Fine dining and shopping are within easy walking distance.
Our ground floor unit in Building #6 is ideal for families, with its desirable inner courtyard location, quiet garden view and large lanai opening onto a spacious private grassy area just steps away from the pool and hot tubs. Two activities desks located at the pool and in the registration lobby will help you plan memorable island activities and adventures of all kinds, including paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkeling, whale watching, and traditional Hawaiian luaus. You may work out in the air-conditioned fitness center at the pool, take a stroll through the lovely resort grounds and gardens, cook your own lunch or dinner at one of the newly refurbished and well-maintained barbecue areas, or enjoy a day in the sun and surf at one of the island’s beautiful beaches. For a special treat, enjoy complimentary pool-side Mai Tai parties each Wednesday with live Hawaiian music and dancing.
Our condo has been completely redone to make your stay a relaxing and unforgettable vacation retreat. The totally remodeled interior, decorated in island motif, features new kitchen cabinets, counters and appliances, new ceramic tile floors in each bathroom, hallway and lanai with carpeting in bedroom and living area. The completely remodeled bathrooms highlight new vanities, sinks and fixtures, new ceramic tile in tub/shower combination in master bath and expanded shower stall in second bath. The condo is equipped with free high-speed wireless broadband internet access for guest use, cable TV and DVD player in living area. For your convenience, there is an ironing board, iron, hair dryer and lockable safe. You’ll find a small “library” of adult and children’s books in the entertainment center. It’s a great place to just kick-back with a good book or an afternoon tropical drink.

Aloha! We are pleased to share our vacation home with you. We live in northern California where we worked most of our professional lives. Early in our marriage, we lived in Honolulu, Hawaii, for two years, fell in love with Hawaii and always wanted to come back. We have two grown daughters, two sons-in-law and two grandsons and we have the best time sharing our condo with them. Here we are with our daughters, one son-in-law and grandsons on a walkway near our condo.

Of all the family vacations we've taken in Hawaii, our fondest memories and favorite places always led us back to Maui, especially South Maui. We like the warmer, drier climate and expansive sandy beaches in South Maui and we prefer being close to all the restaurants and shops in Kihei. We chose Kamaole Sands Resort because we liked its fabulous spacious grounds and lovely gardens. We chose our particular unit because its ground floor location near the pool seemed like a perfect place to bring our grand kids for fun family vacations.
What makes this Condo unique
We enjoy being close to some of our favorite beaches in South Maui, such as Kamaole Beach III, Ulua Beach, Po’olenalena Beach and Makena Beach. It’s easy to spend the morning at the beach and come back to the pool in the afternoon. Maui is our special place to relax and lose ourselves in a good book or listen to our favorite music without the distractions or responsibilities of regular life 'back home'. We enjoy our morning exercise walking briskly on the beach or along the South Maui coastal path. We also enjoy being within easy driving distance to places of embarkation for many of the island’s best attractions and activities, including Kihei Boat Landing and Ma’alaea Harbor/Maui Ocean Center, (launching points for kayaking, whale watching, boating trips and snorkeling trips to Molokini). We occasionally like to take the scenic drive to Lahaina and West Maui with stops at view points along the coast and whale watching opportunities. The Kamaole Sands Resort has several well-kept tennis courts and nearby Wailea offers some of the best golf courses on Maui. We always find it thrilling to drive to the summit of Haleakala to see the crater and 360º views and sometimes to take a hike in the crater. On the return trip from Haleakala, the views of the valley below are stupendous and we enjoy visiting some of the Upcountry towns like Makawao for shopping or a relaxing lunch at Casanova Italian Restaurant & Deli. No matter how long our vacation in Maui, it's never long enough!

Great location, close to pool. Carpet great for little ones.
We have stayed at a few different condos at Kamaole Sands and we found this unit clean, comfortable and in a great location. We brought our 11 month old and found the carpet was great for our new walker. Other units often have hard tile floors which can be dangerous for toddling babies. Great unit at a great price.
saskatchewan farmers fourth return
We love returning to our island home in Maui. It is the quiet perfect location with ground level access. Many beaches are within walking distance and driving to many more is quick and simple. The condo is well equipped with king size bed, two bathrooms and in house laundry. The lanai is our favourite place to hang out and entertain guests. If any problems arise Susan and Les are so accommodating at attending to them immediately. We stay for over a month and always return to this condo. It feels like home!! We would highly recommend this condo to anyone.

Warm getaway from the cold
The condo suited us perfectly, it was just the right size and located close to everything that we needed (beach, pool, BBQ). The king size bed is also a great addition since I was 30 weeks pregnant during our stay. I can see us booking here again in the future!!
Lots of space and great location!
Our family enjoyed our time in this clean and ideally located condo. Being on the ground floor greatly increased the living space and the proximity to the pool was very convenient. We were pleasantly surprised with how comfortable both the master king and pull out sofa bed were. We are looking forward to returning in the future.
