Your hosts, Emma and Harold Earle, are local Vermonters who live next door and who have lived in Eden all their lives. They can be your guides for fishing and direct you to the Long Trail or fishing spots that only locals know. They'll share their love of Vermont with you, and will help you have an experience that you can't find in a resort town.
The Owner purchased this house in 1976
Our guests have loved having an evening bonfire, taking a walk on the private trails, and our Nigerian Dwarf Goats are always a hit! We also get lots of compliments on the beds and the kitchen. It is stocked well for cooking.
Sometimes it's just the home or the location that is special, but once in awhile you get lucky and find a host family that makes the visit complete. That is what we found with Harold, Emma and Carey Earle! From the snowy chats in the driveway to the visits with the chickens and goats, we couldn't have enjoyed our time with them more! Grooming the trails in the gaitor with Harold were afternoons well spent with my teenage daughters. Riding the snowmobiles through the field and groomed trails meant we never had to leave the property.
Enjoyed the games and puzzles that were available and made good use of the full kitchen to make meals to share with my family and new friends. We did not want for anything and thoroughly enjoyed the homemade pickled beets, horseradish and maple syrup. We were spoiled by having everything we needed already provided.
So we saw many comments about the beds and now I understand! They are like large, comfy dream machines and we slept so well. Girls could have easily shared a bed and room to bring friends next time! There will definitely be a next time and we now count the Earle family as friends! We hope other families will find this little slice of heaven and spend some quality time enjoying this Vermont experience.
Our little family of 2 adults a 22 month and our Maltese dog had a great time in this Cabin.
When we first walk in the Cabin was extremely clean from top to bottom. The whole cabin is stock throughout with anything you might need. Things like coffee, spoons and forks, knives, pots and pans, spices, coffee maker and filters, lot of towels and washcloths. The beds are so comfortable, three king beds, plenty of closet space. The best thing is there a washer and dryer very useful when traveling with kids. The Cabin surroundings are beautiful and lot to explore on the trails in the back of the house. They have a charcoal grill on the side of the house and wood to make a fire. My husband fished on the pond with some worms that Emma provided him and they were lot of trouts on the pond, but hubby didn't catch any. The weather wasn't the greatest during our stay, but we enjoy being inside and just relax and have some quality time. We went the beach they have there and was very nice. Emma gave us some suggestions about places to eat and got to say you should try Canjun Snack Bar in Lowell, VT next town over, food is delicious, fried Alligator, great burgers too. They have a convenience store close to the cabin that has everything you might need. If you looking to relax and enjoy nature this is the place.
Overall was an amazing time and Emma is the sweetest, making sure we had everything and she even walk our little Maltese Roxy while we were at the beach.
Thank you both!
Our family of 4 adults enjoyed this warm and cozy cabin for a 3 night weekend ski trip to Jay Peak. The cabin is very clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We enjoyed chatting with the owners and they were very welcoming and informative. The private trails were perfect for snowshoeing and telemark skiing. This is a wonderful cabin for all seasons! We look forward to returning!
From the time we arrived to the time that we departed we found the Earle's and their cabin very welcoming. The surrounding area is beautiful and delivers the real Vermont experience. Aside from skiing, our five kids loved exploring the property and also sledding. Emma Earle provided the transport to the top of the hill using their snow tractor. Really great fun. We can't wait to go back.

Wonderful, wonderful hosts, and the place,... it is like heaven! I simply want to go back right now because I don't even feel like have I left this place, and I bet my friends feel the same! We've only stayed for 3 days, but we would have stayed there forever!
The cabin is very, very clean, very well equipped (kitchen, bathroom, everything). Every bedroom is spacious enough, there is a king bed in each one of them, I have never seen this before, and the beds are very comfortable. Plenty of room in the day area of the cabin (living room, dining and kitchen). You simply couldn't ask for more. Very warm and cozy, as one of my friends said :)
There is a fire place outside the cabin, we have spent a lot of time there and felt so good!
The cabin is surrounded by woods, without being suffocated, there is a lot of opened area around the cabin and the view is amazing! The pond with fish, where you can even catch some trout! It is the perfect place on earth!
Even when you are inside the cabin, the view from every window is gorgeous.
Also, the woods behind the cabin, with the trails, it is amazing. We didn't go too far, lack of time, but we will definitely return to this wonderful place and we will explore more. There is so much to discover!
And then there are these so sweet animals that live there: 3 Nigerian goats, very, very friendly, and Drifter, the heart melting rescued dog with his 2 friends from the neighborhood, Monty, the black dog, and Hazel, the extremely friendly beagle dog. We wanted to take them all home.
amazing place, amazing people! We will definitely return! :)
