Charming Private Cottage Getaway w/ Large Deck & Shower. Steps to Secluded Beach
Here is the adorable beach bungalow you've been looking for. Located on the southern border of Laie on the north shore of Oahu, this old-time beach cottage was lovingly restored back to original. The 425 square foot private cottage has a front deck of 150 square feet with a stainless gas grill, a table & chairs with a shade cloth canopy, plus a tropical landscaped front yard with native plants and tropical flowers, that sits on a fenced lot. An over-sized walk-in tiled shower, double bowl vanity sinks in the bathroom and air conditioning throughout, perfect for the honeymoon or anniversary getaway. There's a convertible loveseat(sleeps an extra guest - small child - if need be), a roomy fully stocked kitchen with glass top range oven for cooking in, free wifi, laundry, parking and beach equipment to round out the benefits.
This rental is just a short walk from a beautiful long stretch of secluded sandy beach (the beach access is at the end of the lane, about a 40 second walk away). It's perfect for strolling, swimming, and snorkeling with restrooms and showers close by at Kokololio Beach Park. The Polynesian Cultural Center (with its luau dinners and hula shows) is just a few minutes away. The LDS Temple is in Laie and a visit to Laie Point offers a dramatic view of the rugged coastline. A bit further down the road is the Malaekahana State Recreation Area, with views to Goat Island, a sea bird sanctuary. The Turtle Bay Resort is just 10 minutes north with two amazing chamionship golf courses designed by Arnold Palmer and is a nice place for lunch, cocktails, or dinner. Continue north and you will run into the famous North Shore surfing beaches and famous Haleiwa Town with alot of mom & pop store shopping and resturants.
Whether you decide to relax at the bungalow, or drive around to sightsee, you are sure to have a fabulous time.

Aloha, I'm a husband, father, jack of all trades, coach of all sports and owner/manager of 5 vacation rentals in Hawaii. I was raised in Hawaii from the age of 8 years old after my family moved here from the USA mainland. Hawaii has so much to offer and I hope you get the chance to visit and explore this amazing state.
Greg purchased this Cottage in 2003
Why Greg chose O'ahu
My wife and I love this beach property. It's so close to the beach, restaurants and grocery stores. The small town feeling and tight community on this beach lane is familiar since we both grew up in a small town, on a cul-d-sac on Oahu.
What makes this Cottage unique
The beach is great. Never really rough, even in the winter when the North Shore surf spots are reaching 25 feet. A perfect beach for swimming and boogie boarding. The large shower of the Beach Lane Bungalow rental is my favorite. Fully tiled with additional access to the shower the moment you step in from the back bungalow door. The bungalow is very much suited for a honeymoon or anniversary getaway.

Was the best. Just a short walk to the beach and drive to dinner and shopping.
It was our first time to Oahu and decided to stay in the area of Laie. This bungalow was a great place to stay, close to everything we wanted to see. It was a 30 to 45 minute drive to the other side of the island and worth the scenic drive.
Great stay-good value
Greg was a wonderful host right from the start. Directions were well thought out. Location was perfect for explorations on both north and south sides. The cottage itself is well equipped and comfortable with a great shower and big bathroom. Amenities are all provided and in good condition.
The only down sides were the traffic noise from the Kam highway which pretty much never stops and it would be much more comfortable with a new mattress and a proper couch to sit on.
That said, the rental was of a high standard and very clean. Would definitely stay here again. Hopefully next time the sunshine will cooperate and we can actually use the beach.
You're welcome and mahalo for the review. I purchased and delivered a brand new bed earlier this week. See you next time. Aloha, Greg
Don't even bother going to this side of the island during the winter season. Monsoon rain. Constantly heavy down pour throughout the winter. We couldn't even get to this house due to flash flood warnings the first night.
Really shady area, would not advise walking along the beach here at night. We were warned numerous times to lock our car door due to incessant break ins and prowling thieves.
Lovely, relaxing stay.
This was a lovely, relaxing week away from the PNW. The bungalow was quite nice and comfortable, though the mattress needs an upgrade, we would say. Everything we needed was close at hand, from a grocer to a drug store, and access to either end of the island just a brief car ride away. And the access to a near-private beach was a real treat.
Clean & neat with new appliances.
I almost didn't submit a review, as most of the others were 5 stars, but I felt I should explain my 3 star rating. Greg was a good host, and if we had stayed just a few nights, the bungalow might have been OK, but kinda' tight for a 2 week stay. Greg has done just about all he can do to make the cabin "all it can be", except maybe a comfortable chair, but there is no place to put one. Most of our disappointment was the island itself. Too many people, too much lawlessness, and theft. Couldn't leave the car at the trail heads with comfort. Saw many broken windows, and long-time homeless camps, even where overnight camping was not legal. The Pearl Harbor visit was crowded, but great, and that was one of our reasons for this visit. This is our 3rd visit to Hawaii, (Kaua'i, Hawaii, and now O'ahu), and have stayed in one 5 star on the big island, but not here. Sorry, Greg because you have done a good job.
Perfect Little Spot!
It was the perfect place for our first family vacation with our 8 month old son. We enjoyed taking morning strolls at the beach down the street, cooking and having breakfast before going out for the day, and coming back to relax on the porch. We would definitely stay here again next time we're on the island. Thanks Greg!
