Overview

About the property

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

Our condo is in the heart of Whistler, the home of the 2010 Winter Olympics. Whistler is a world renown summer and winter resort, it really has everything. Condo is on the top floor of Glacier Lodge and has cathedral ceilings, with a wall of windows that overlooks the park. Nothing more peaceful than sitting in front of our gas fireplace looking out at the trees. Glacier Lodge has a large heated outdoor pool and two hot tubs plus a large grass area with picnic tables. Main floor bedroom has sliding doors to the balcony and a king size bed. The upstairs bedroom has a queen size bed and sofa makes into a full size bed. There is ample closet space in both bedrooms. We sleep 6 comfortably. The entry hallway, kitchen and bath have tile floor and the living area and bedrooms are carpeted. Our kitchen has modern stainless steel appliances including dishwasher and microwave. Bathroom was just redone with tile and a new glass shower enclosure. Because we use our condo personally we leave basic cooking spices and condiments in our unit for our guests to use. We also have more dishes and appliances than the average hotel/condo. We want you to feel right at home.

There is cable TV, free wifi and a new I pod docking station for your music needs. For the children a cupboard full of games.

We added air conditioning for the warm summer days.

About Glenn and Joan Yamada

We live in Seattle Washington we make Whistler our home mountain.

Glenn and Joan Yamada purchased this condo in 1990

Why Glenn and Joan Yamada chose Whistler

We are a skiing/snowboarding family and enjoy being in the heart of the #1 ski area in North America. Whistler is the best!! Just steps out our back door and we are on the chairlift to Blackcomb or Whistler Mountain. In the summer we can enjoy all the activities but not the noise of being in the center of the Village. Air conditioning makes it even more comfortable in the summer.

What makes this condo unique

All the comforts of home. Full kitchen supplied with all the basics. High Speed wifi internet to keep up with all our communication with home and office.

Large heated pool and two hot tubs, exercise room and ski and bike storage. AC for warm summer days.

Great location, helpful owners

  • 4 of 5

Our family of four had a nice stay in this spacious condo. Instructions were both mailed and sent electronically and everything went smoothly. We had one minor issue and both the front desk and the owners were quick to respond. The beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. Do note that the room is a very long walk from the elevator so if you have mobility issues this may be a problem. Otherwise, the condo was in a quiet, yet convenient, location We would stay here again. Thank you.

Clean, cozy, and a great location!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at the condo! Enjoyed the views, the fireplace, the amenities, and all the accommodations in the Glacier Lodge building. Located in close proximity to the lift, and right by all the restaurants and shops, didn't have to drive at all! Owners were very nice and accommodating through the whole process. Truly a trip of a lifetime!

Whistler Condo

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in Whistler BC and a very nice place to stay at the at this condo. We received thorough information from the owners before traveling and the trip worked out wonderfully. Condo was very comfortable and clean, and well located close to the village. My sister from Texas loved the respite from the Forth Worth heat. Would definitely stay here again. One note - On the travel info provided it would be good to mention that the highway from the border is #539 from the American side, but #13 from the Canadian side. Was a bit confusing but worked out fine.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review and your note about hightway numbers. Never have noticed the highway numbets in all the years we have travelled to Whistler. Will definitely add it to our information.

Summer birthday celebration

  • 5 of 5

We had the good fortune to stay at this condo July 15 - 18th to celebrate a 65th birthday. All was as described in the listing and we were thrilled. Thank you for the welcome bottle of wine and such a nicely appointed unit. All the necessities were there in the kitchen plus many extras and so tastefully decorated . Close to everything including stepping outside the front door to the market on Sunday morning .Walking to the rest of the village was just as you said , a short stroll . The bike locker was super handy and we enjoyed a full day of biking , thanks too for the map with notes about distance to lost lake etc. ! We enjoyed the pool and had all we needed to enjoy our dinners in the unit. You mentioned replacing the bbq and I think that will be a good idea, while it certainly worked it is a bit small. ( My only criticism). Joan and Glenn , you have a great unit and thanks so much for the opportunity , will definitely stay here again.

Great condo.. close to everything.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here over Easter weekend 2016. The Condo was nice, clean , and had everything you need for your stay. you store your snowboard/ski's in the rental shop in the Buildings lobby. The building has a liquor store, spa, restaurant, and Ski rental shop on the main floor. very convenient. the Ski slope is just a short 4 minute walk away. had a great time snowboarding, snowmobiling, and even went bungee jumping the last day. There is to many great restaurant's to list. I will tell you to go to Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory in the main Village, be very careful in there, its very easy to walk out with a huge bag of Chocolates and candy. we will be back again next year.

Your experience (public)

Our rental at Glacier Lodge was perfect for the occasion. I would recommend this apartment to anyone. The master bed was very comfortable and the apartment was well equipped.
