Overview

About the property

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

Our condo is in the heart of Whistler, the home of the 2010 Winter Olympics. Whistler is a world renown summer and winter resort, it really has everything. Condo is on the top floor of Glacier Lodge and has cathedral ceilings, with a wall of windows that overlooks the park. Nothing more peaceful than sitting in front of our gas fireplace looking out at the trees. Glacier Lodge has a large heated outdoor pool and two hot tubs plus a large grass area with picnic tables. Main floor bedroom has sliding doors to the balcony and a king size bed. The upstairs bedroom has a queen size bed and sofa makes into a full size bed. There is ample closet space in both bedrooms. We sleep 6 comfortably. The entry hallway, kitchen and bath have tile floor and the living area and bedrooms are carpeted. Our kitchen has modern stainless steel appliances including dishwasher and microwave. Bathroom was just redone with tile and a new glass shower enclosure. Because we use our condo personally we leave basic cooking spices and condiments in our unit for our guests to use. We also have more dishes and appliances than the average hotel/condo. We want you to feel right at home.

There is cable TV, free wifi and a new I pod docking station for your music needs. For the children a cupboard full of games.

We added air conditioning for the warm summer days.

About Glenn and Joan Yamada

We live in Seattle Washington we make Whistler our home mountain.

Glenn and Joan Yamada purchased this condo in 1990

Why Glenn and Joan Yamada chose Whistler

We are a skiing/snowboarding family and enjoy being in the heart of the #1 ski area in North America. Whistler is the best!! Just steps out our back door and we are on the chairlift to Blackcomb or Whistler Mountain. In the summer we can enjoy all the activities but not the noise of being in the center of the Village. Air conditioning makes it even more comfortable in the summer.

What makes this condo unique

All the comforts of home. Full kitchen supplied with all the basics. High Speed wifi internet to keep up with all our communication with home and office.

Large heated pool and two hot tubs, exercise room and ski and bike storage. AC for warm summer days.

Perfect Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

The location was ideal. We prefer Blackcomb to Whistler Village. It is a short (5 min) walk to the main village. This condo is a great alternative to 1 bedroom flat. It has plenty of space to stretch out with a main floor bedroom and a second floor loft. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could ask for. We will definitely be back.

Perfect spot for Ironman Canada!

  • 5 of 5

We visited for IM Canada, and this location was perfect; walking distance to shuttles/finish line/T2, and walking distance to most of the village. Lovely condo with everything we needed, and a quiet end unit as well. We will be back!

Family Adventure

  • 5 of 5

This is a well appointed two level condo unit that comfortably accommodated our family of five ( with 3 teenagers). The unit was well maintained, clean, and had a full kitchen well stocked with everything imaginable to prepare meals. (Lots of plates and cutlery too). The air conditioning was handy too for the warm weather in July. The owners thought of everything including the many many ice trays in the freezer which we used to fill water bottles for our mountain treks and biking excursions.(attention to details) On our arrival the owners phoned us to let us know the pool was closed for maintenance. They offered to make arrangements for us to use a nearby pool! Talk about looking after your guests! The bottle of wine was a nice touch too! Easy to follow directions to access the unit and parking were given which made it a breeze to settle in. The unit is just steps away from the Blackcomb Day lodge and lifts which made it easy to start our Peak to Peak adventure and rent bikes. The main village is a just short walk away too. This was the perfect place for us - had a fantastic time! Definitely will want to come back.

Great location, helpful owners

  • 4 of 5

Our family of four had a nice stay in this spacious condo. Instructions were both mailed and sent electronically and everything went smoothly. We had one minor issue and both the front desk and the owners were quick to respond. The beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. Do note that the room is a very long walk from the elevator so if you have mobility issues this may be a problem. Otherwise, the condo was in a quiet, yet convenient, location We would stay here again. Thank you.

Clean, cozy, and a great location!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at the condo! Enjoyed the views, the fireplace, the amenities, and all the accommodations in the Glacier Lodge building. Located in close proximity to the lift, and right by all the restaurants and shops, didn't have to drive at all! Owners were very nice and accommodating through the whole process. Truly a trip of a lifetime!

Whistler Condo

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in Whistler BC and a very nice place to stay at the at this condo. We received thorough information from the owners before traveling and the trip worked out wonderfully. Condo was very comfortable and clean, and well located close to the village. My sister from Texas loved the respite from the Forth Worth heat. Would definitely stay here again. One note - On the travel info provided it would be good to mention that the highway from the border is #539 from the American side, but #13 from the Canadian side. Was a bit confusing but worked out fine.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review and your note about hightway numbers. Never have noticed the highway numbets in all the years we have travelled to Whistler. Will definitely add it to our information.
