My husband & I were both born and raised in the Gatlinburg area, and this is where we raised our son. This property has been in the Price family since 1964 we have and is very beautiful. My husbands Mother & Dad managed this property until they retired now my husband Doug, myself Glenda and our son Matthew & his wife Ashley all work and manage the property.
The Owner purchased this cabin in 1964
Because this 8 acres of beautiful property located on the edge of The Little Pigeon River which was found to be one of the two cleanest in state of Tennessee. This is where we call home and are very proud of what we have to offer visitors that come to Tennessee & visit the Gatlinburg, Pittman Center area.
The nicest & most beautiful benefit we have to offer is the river with all the enjoyment that comes with it....we are one of the few properties that is truly river front....so come enjoy...
We have stayed several times over the years and it has always been fantastic, beautiful, amazing, and very relaxing. Love to stay and look forward to staying in July.
We had a mixed group stay for two nights and had a very relaxing and peaceful getaway, with all the amenities of home. Very cozy, warm gas fireplace for hanging out as a family, talking and enjoying each other. Great place to escape and reflect just outside of the tourist attractions. It was especially relaxing to follow the Christmas rush! Glenda was extremely accommodating for our last minute getaway.
We married 11/11/11 on the Emert's Cove Covered Bridge. We "found" the Price Cottages that day, and noted their telephone number. We stayed in River Song for the past 2 years to celebrate our wedding anniversary. What a great place to find! We love to walk the area, the National Park and the BBQ restaurant. It is a great location. The Little Pigeon really makes a River Song! Dolores Watkins
We had a wonderful peaceful week in one of the older cabins on the river bank. We first came to Price Cottages 30 years ago and not a lot has changed. It is still a wonderful spot on a beautiful river away from the bustle of Gatlinburg. Hosts are wonderful and responsive.
This is our second time staying in one of the Price's A frame cottages. Along with friends, we reserved 3 of cottages for a family celebration. It was great to all be together yet each family had their own space. We had a wonderful time away from the city in the mountains. The sound and views of the stream flowing by are soothing to the soul. We enjoyed hiking trails, spending a day in Gatlinburg, but most of all tubing, fishing, skipping stones and visiting near the stream. The water is so clear, cool and beautiful! The cottages are very well appointed and comfortable and the Price family are welcoming and accommodating. We will go back. I'd recommend for people wanting a comfortable, quiet time away, enjoying the beauty of the Smoky Mountain area, whatever the age.
Whether you're inside or out, you're always on the river at Price's. Don't be put off by the older cabin. It is immaculate and well provisioned, but best of all are the floor to ceiling views of the river and the covered patio underneath which is directly on the most pristine stream in the state, perfect for tubing, fishing, swimming under the covered bridge, which you can see from the cabin. The Great Smoky Mountains is a three minute drive from the cabin. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are a world away (but a short drive or trolley ride). The Price's are nearby to make you welcome. After 30 years of camping and renting, this is our favorite place in the Smokies.
