About the property

Manufactured Home, 3 Bedrooms + Den, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Get away from it all and enjoy the crystal clear blue waters of this spring fed lake nestled among pine trees on a 1.5-acre lot.

Bring your own boat and launch it in a nearby 234 acre spring fed lake. This lake is great for water skiing and raft riding.

In Blue Lake enjoy swimming, fishing, and riding the paddle boat and kayaking on this peaceful and pristine body of water. This lake is deep in the center (especially near the springs) and shallow around the edge. It is so clear you can use a mask and snorkel ( or the naked eye) to see fish, turtles and interesting aquatic vegetation. There are many bream that swim around the dock and some will actually look up at you expecting to be fed some bread. You will love my lily garden ! This is a nature lover's paradise : ) There is a variety of wild life to observe such as birds of prey, humming birds, otter, deer, and owls.

Relax and float on a raft, or partake in games such as badminton, volleyball, or ping-pong.

Roast marshmallows over a camp fire and star gaze upon the night sky. Camp outside, or sleep inside the 1680 sq. ft. home, with living room, kitchen, dining room, den, three bedrooms, and 2.5 bathrooms. Enjoy relaxing in front of an Amish electric fireplace all year round. Watch many high-definition television stations or surf the internet. Computer available for guest use. Wi Fi access anywhere in home or on screened porch.

This is a golf cart community and there are many miles of great scenic bike riding opportunities.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We so enjoyed our week at the lake house! The fishing was great, the smallest bass I caught was 14 inches long. We could sit on the dock and watch the larger ones swimming by, the children caught lots of smaller fish it was the first time they had ever fished and enjoyed it a lot, we practice catch and release so if we visit again the fish will be bigger. Thank you again for a great family time.

Paradise found on the lake

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful trip back in time to peaceful Florida on the lake. The house was so clean, well stocked and comfortable. Yes, it is an oldie but goodie! The entire grassy yard is fenced and my dog was able to roam to his heart's content. The lake was ever changing with the weather, wind and daylight. We spent hours outside enjoying the birds - pileated woodpecker, cardinals, wrens, finches, sandhill cranes, turkeys. Thunderstorms over the lake provided free lightshows with the dramatic lightening. The firepit was stocked with logs, and we enjoyed the peacefulness of the evenings away from the city. (I have to admit the husband did watch tv at night and found lots of options.)

We look forward to rebooking in the future. Cathy is a wonderful host. Thank you!

Charming home that has the most wonderful atmosphere. Very private and secluded. 10 miles to town. Perfect place to come and relax. Great for families. We enjoyed all of the amenities, such as roasting marshmallows over a big bonfire, paddle boating, kayaking, feeding the fish and Relaxing out on the Hammock, there are even bikes there for you to ride. Loved the screened in porch on the back.

Very spacious. Cathy, the owner ,was wonderful to work with, my family is so excited we found this place. We will definitely be back 😀?

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay. Cathy was awesome and flexible. I had the wrong date for my vacation and Cathy changed it right away. I then left some items on the front deck in the weather, including my laptop Cathy went out of her way to have a close neighbor come by and put under the covered back porch. Cathy then had the items mailed to me. The home was very clean, including the windows that look over the lake. Everything you need is here, just bring your hamburgers, hotdogs and steaks to cook on the grill. Would definitely recommend this rental.

Outside was great!

  • 4 of 5

We loved the grounds. Great view of lake. Nice fire pit and grill. The entire yard is fenced, but it is hard to tell because it is either back in the woods or covered with vines. Our dog LOVED the place. Paddle boat was fun. Nice screened in porch.Very quiet and relaxing. There is even a pet bass called Bubba to feed. There is a nice ping pong table as well. The owner is very sweet.

The inside decor could use some updates. There is no kitchen table or chairs so we had to eat Thanksgiving dinner on a plastic table with card/patio chairs. The property would definitely be a 5 star with some changes in wall paper/wall hangings & the addition of more furniture.

Close to Gainesville so great place to stay on game weekends. Go Gators!!

Wonderful Stay on Blue Lake

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay on Blue Lake. Four of us were traveling to see the Florida Gators play in Gainesville. It is a very easy 40 minute drive to campus. The house is very charming and very clean. The backyard is a true oasis. We spent all day before the game playing outside. The lake is perfect size for kayaking around. You can literally see and feed the fish right off the pier. Ping Pong, satellite TV, and Wifi kept us entertained at night. Cathy was a joy to work with. It is obvious she takes great pride in her lake house and providing an amazing experience for her guests.
