This cute cabana has a screened porch where you can relax and enjoy company among the shade and privacy of manicured Live Oak and Cedar. It’s like your sitting out in nature without the bugs. The small and very clean living space includes a surprising number of amenities from home, including a full kitchen with utensils and cookware. The loft bedroom includes two twins that can be combined to make a queen, but if the ship’s stairs are too steep for you, there is a permanent day bed downstairs with a pull-out trundle bed stored beneath.
The back deck leads to an outdoor shower, because what could be better after a day at the beach than an outdoor shower. And speaking of the beach, the beach of Ocracoke Island was rated the “#1 beach in America” by Dr. Beach, in 2007. A short drive or bike ride gets you there or to the waterfront of the Silver Lake Inlet where many sunset dining and shopping opportunities await.
And as far as dining and shopping goes, a short walk takes you to Ocracoke Coffee and Back Porch Restaurant along Back Road (a secret shopping district at Ocracoke.) A little further and you’re on Highway 12 (the main drag) with all kinds of shops and restaurants.
