I bought in the complex because it is safe, beautiful and simply the best and most convenient location in San Miguel, in my view. I have lived here since 2004 and would rather be here than anywhere else.
Heather Hanley purchased this condo in 2006
Excellent location, safe and secure with conserje (Mexican version of doorman) in daytime, beautiful apartment with attractive furnishings, wonderful natural light.
One and a half blocks to the Jardin, where the Parroquia and acknowledged center of town are. Three doors from the Angela Peralta theater, site of chamber music and jazz festivals, concerts and theatrical presentations. One block from the Bellas Artes, with art classes and an auditorium presenting concerts and theatrical events. One and a half blocks from the Biblioteca, with large English-language library, café and theatre with cinema festivals, recitals, concerts and lectures.
The condo is as beautiful in real life as in the pictures. The location is absolutely fabulous. There is an Italian restaurant around the corner where I wouldn't mind eating every day. We stayed for two weeks. The maid came three times during that time. Everything was always clean and delightful. The owner, Heather Hanley, was extremely friendly and helpful in directing us where to eat and shop. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Absolutely spot on location for our first visit to San Miguel. It's the perfect place to find peace and quiet between bouts of exploring the lively town. Nothing is too far to walk to. Christmas week was crowded but we could always have a private table on the roof as the sun set. The apartment is spacious, attractive and comfortable. We loved our landlady. There are enough bathrooms to host a friend or family member too. Next time!
The condo was centrally located and a short walk to everything the location was everything. Because I was a single woman safety of course was an issue the street the condo was located was busy enough in the evening I was never walking along on an unoccupied street. The condo was furnished with everything you could possible need the kitchen was well stocked. I did very little cooking becasuse within five minutes are wonderful restaurants. I would not heistate to rent this condo again and the destination itself was magical
I have stayed in this condo apt. for increasing amounts of time over the past four years. My most recent stay was just short of 2 months in the fall of 2012. There is nothing not to like in this property. It is exactly as advertised in both words and photos, spotlessly clean and meticulously maintained, comfortable, and owned by the world's most helpful landlady, who has now become my friend. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to be in the center of the action. Here you will be right "downtown," 1 1/2 blocks to the Jardin, the cultural center of the city. You'll also be about 2 1/2 blocks from the biblioteca, another center of activity, and maybe 25 steps to the Angela Peralta Theater. Fine restaurants are a few blocks away in every direction, as are banks, grocery and fruit and vegetable stores, the artisans market, and lovely shops. It's safe and there are two men working on the property many hours each day who can help with all manner of things. I cannot recommend this property highly enough.
