About Janet or Randy LaDue

Hi - We are Randy and Janet LaDue. Randy, moved to San Diego from Ventura to attend college at San Diego State in 1976. He has lived in San Diego ever since. I met Randy in 1978 through a mutual friend and he convinced me to move to San Diego in 1981 - I have been here ever since! San Diego offers us everything we want in a city from the beaches for swimming, surfing and tanning, to mountains for hiking and skiing. Downtown is beautiful and right on the water front. The weather is amazing and consistently mild. It is an awesome city!! We love to travel and have seen a lot of amazing places, but are always glad to call San Diego our home.

Janet or Randy LaDue purchased this house in 1989

Why Janet or Randy LaDue chose San Diego County

We chose to buy this home in Bay Park because it had the view we were looking for and it is close to the beaches, downtown, airport, Sea World, the Zoo, Balboa Park, hiking in the mountains, and much more. Also, It is located near all of San Diego's major freeways for getting around easily and conveniently.

What makes this house unique

You will enjoy a view of the bay, ocean and beach-city lights from the front of the house. Step out the front door and go directly across the street to enjoy fireworks from Sea World on summer nights. The home has a lovely wooden beam ceiling, a floor to ceiling stone fireplace and a beautiful arched, stained glass window.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Hi Janet,

Our family stayed at your place back in July of 2013, and want to return to your property!

We were looking to come out to San Diego in March. It looks like we would fly out around March 21 (into LA) and then be leaving March 29th.

Thanks so much!

Great location

  • 3 of 5

This house was a perfect place for us to stay while visiting with family in San Diego. We spent as much time as we could on the front lawn overlooking Mission Bay. The fireplace was an added bonus on the chilly nights. The owners were responsive (brought in a few groceries since we arrived late at night). We would definitely stay here again.

Great house with the perfect location for all of San Diego's attractions!

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at this house for our San Diego trip! 10-15 minutes to Sea World, the San Diego Zoo and the beach. Great 3 bedroom fully stocked house, in a quiet neighborhood. Our kids loved using the bodyboards at La Jolla Shores! We would definitely stay there again.

Great for the family

  • 4 of 5

There was a slight miscommunication/misunderstanding and the property was not ready when we checked in. While incredibly frustrating, as we had plans with friends that evening and needed to change the kids, we contacted the owners immediately and they helped us get it ironed out and took good care of us. Special thanks to their local sister for chipping in, in order to ensure our family had a nice stay.

The rooms were spacious and each one had a fan. Once you open those windows and that bay breeze comes through, it's awesome. There is no back patio or yard, but a comfy (although small) front deck and enclosed front yard.

The kids loved the sand toys and boogie boards - thank you! BBQ needs replacing, but it got through some steaks. Kitchen was fully stocked. My only wish is that there was a window or better natural light in the family room, which would make for better airflow. While it's a nice big comfy space, it tended to get warm.

We had a wonderful time and would consider staying again, despite our hiccup at arrival. Thanks again!

Great Location !!

  • 5 of 5

Upon arrival at the airport we had no trouble finding our way to this quiet neighborhood and charming home. The house was very clean and had all the amenities that we needed for a great stay. We never met the owners so I am assuming that they just let us get on with it and if we needed anything they would respond. It is a leap of faith to just let unknown folks walk into your home, I love the concept and appreciate the trust the owners had in us.

The fact that they had beach chairs and equipment for our use was a huge plus. We loved the fact that there were fans to set up for air circulation and a whole house fan that could be turned on at night to pull the heat from the house since the house does get quite hot during the day. Setting a fan in front of the screen door in the entry way worked like a charm.

The wi fi timed out constantly but since we were aware that there was a definate problem from previous reviews we really saw no need to contact the owner. Another minor inconvenience was the location of the electrical outlet in the guest bathroom as it was part of the light and too high for me to reach without enlisting a family member to plug it in for me.

We loved the home, we loved the location. We highly recommend this establishment to all and sundry and we shall return !!!
