A stream whispers in the canyon behind the house. Lone Peak beckons out the front window, and you only have to walk across the street to strap on your skis and schuss to the lift. This is truly ski in-ski out.
The views of the mountains are spectacular through floor-to-ceiling windows in this four story ultra-modern house. The main floor features a soaring ceiling, thirty feet high, with a free standing chimney from the fireplace that spans the distance. Wood for the fire is stacked in the shed on the far end of the spacious sun deck.
Sheltered under the loft is a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, dishwasher, trash compactor, and a side-by-side refrigerator with ice maker. There is an island with stools for ten, as well as a dining room table.
Both the living room and family room feature large comfortable leather sofas. There are four bedrooms with a king bed in one, a queen in the second, two twin beds in the third, and a queen bed and a queen fold-out in the fourth.
There are three full baths and one half bath, one of these baths includes a lockout separate redwood paneled room containing a two to four person (depending on how cozy you want to be) hot tub. There is also an eight person outdoor hot tub with great views of Lone Peak. You can follow up with a stint in the sauna.
There are two TV's with cable and DVD/VCR. The living room TV is HD. A compact audio center will play your CDs or tapes.
There is a washer and dryer, and all linens are supplied.
The kitchen is well supplied with all your cooking, baking, frying, grilling, and blending needs. There is a great gas grill on the patio deck off the kitchen.
The house is a wonderful place for making family and friend vacation memories!

Had a wonderful skiing week in this very nice, comfortable an cozy house. Enjoyed the possibility of ski in and out. The house is equipped with all whats necessary for a stay without problems. The kids, and also the adults, enjoyed the hot tube after a day skiing. One of the highlights of the house. Just the perfect location to have a good time.
Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home and we really enjoyed the ski in and out feature - it's nice to be able to come back for lunch.
12 of us had the pleasure of taking a ski/snowboard trip over New Year's and we could not have picked a better place to vacation! The house was charming, cozy, and equipped with all the necessities. The hot tub was a definite highlight after the freezing temps! We had a great time exploring The Village and even went on a sleigh ride/dinner and an adventure through Yellowstone on snowmobile. The house is a quick ski down the road to the nearest chair lift and "Silver Knife" run back down to the house. Highest recommendation!
This was my return visit to this same home with a whole new generation and loved the addition of the outdoor hot tub. House worked out great for our big group of 11 and the sunrise and the moon rising over the mountains was spectacular. We drove through Bear Tooth Pass and then out through West Yellowstone on our way to Big Sky. However we spent most of the vacation right in the Big Sky area as there were so many activities and fun restaurants available for the two families and one Nanny Granny .. Me. Loved the chair lift ride up Lone Peak and the hike to the falls was great but I decided to just be a spectator at the nearby lake while everyone tried the paddle boards. Food and entertainment was great in the Canyon and would definitely put another trip to Big Sky on my bucket list for the future.
We rented the house with another family for a week in July. We had kids ranging from 6-11 years old, two couples and a grandma. The house was perfect for our large group and we would highly recommend it. The kitchen set up was great and had plenty of space for a large group (we typically made breakfast and lunches at the house and then went out for dinner). You cannot beat the location and wonderful views. We had originally planned the vacation primarily to visit Yellowstone; however, our time in Big Sky ended up being the highlight of our trip. We purchased the EPIC pass, which included White Water Rafting, Horseback Riding, Rock Wall Climbing, Ropes and Zip Line Course, Fly Fishing Lessons for the kids, and a week of boat rentals at Lake Levinsky (just a two block walk from the house--kids loved the Paddleboards). It also was just a short walk to Base Camp at the ski resort, which also had a number of activities for families and kids (the Scenic Chair Lift provided awesome views). There also are some great hikes very close by which are appropriate for all ages. We spent two of the days driving down to see Yellowstone (West Gate was about an hour drive). There are some wonderful restaurants close by (Buck’s T-4, Cinnamon Lodge, Gallatin Riverhouse and the Monday night Pig Roast/Fly Fishing Lessons at 320 Guest Ranch). The owners were very helpful in our planning and provided us with plenty of recommendations and travel tips. We hope to someday return for a winter ski vacation and would certainly try to rent this same house The location, views, and accommodations were ideal (exactly as pictured and described). It also was a great value. Highly recommend to anyone planning a summer Yellowstone or "Out West" family vacation.
This was a great house for our two families and our two small dogs. The location is great for ski in and ski out and the dead end street was perfect for taking our dogs on walks. We loved the natural light with all the windows, the view of Lone Mountain Peak, and the communal kitchen bar where we ate all of our meals. The owner was very helpful and even emailed me back on Christmas day and was always very responsive.
