Spend the mornings sipping your coffee on one of the porch swings while watching the hummingbirds dance their fanciful dance. A small, spring-fed creek provides a restful babble as it flows beside the master bedroom and the porch. During the day, there are streams to fish and swim in, trails to hike and water falls to discover. At night, the stars are right there ready to be plucked from the sky, and the slot machines at the casino are ready to be played. No matter what the time of day, or what the weather, there is always something to do. Even if it is just sitting back on the porch again, watching the view change.
Maximum of 2, well behaved, dogs welcome. Pet fee of $100 will be refunded within 7 days when no damage is reported.

About Dean and Diane Shepherd
We are healthcare professionals who have spent our careers taking care of sick infants and children, in Florida. We have 3 children, and 6 grandchildren who have all shared the mountains with us. We are now empty-nesters, rounding into retirement, and trying to figure out what the next phase of our lives will be.
Why Dean and Diane Shepherd chose Bryson City
We started coming to the area 15 years ago, when the kids were small. We love playing on the raging rivers, most of all. Dean even became a rafting guide for NOC, 5 years ago. We live in Florida, but plan on spending our summers in the mountains as soon as we can. While we love Florida, nothing can beat a summer in the mountains.
What makes this Cottage unique
For outdoor enthusiasts, this location cannot be beat. Whitewater, hiking, mountain biking, boating, waterfall seeking, ziplining, horseback riding are all nearby, in many forms. After days of adventure, or shopping for antiques, this house offers the best place for a quiet evening, watching the sunset with friends and family.

We went there in March 2018,our staying experince at this cabin was excellent, one of a kind, the cabin was extremely clean and organized, the location of the cabin was very nice overlooking the mountains.
Overall was a very nice experience and we will defenetly do it again in the near future...
We had a great 3 nights stay! We loved the view. The kids enjoyed the games and roasting marshmellows in the firepit. There was really all you needed in the kitchen. Just 1h after we arrived we got a phone call from the neighbors that take care of it to make sure everything is good. We were very pleased!
It was a really good place .it was really quiet and very relaxing very clean place and everything we needed was there.had a great time.
Comfortable country home away from home. Lovely view! Great owners and caretakers! Very responsive and helpful! Comfortable furnishings. Well supplied with necessities. Loved the porch with swings! Easy to get to, close to town but still had a remote feel. Nice size bedrooms. Loved Open floor plan for kitchen, dining and living room. Dining area had view of surrounding mountains to enjoy during meals. Kitchen stocked with essential utensils. Definitely would go back!
We really enjoyed our stay and the view from the porch was just awesome. The caretakers were very helpful. The owners were very friendly and took care of any issues we had. We will be going back there again.
We stayed here while running from hurricane Irma and it was the most delightful discovery we'be made thus far!! Perfectly tucked away in the mountains and quiet as ever. But still close enough to Cherokee, Sylva, and Dilsborro. Will definitely be returning! The owners are so thoughtful and amazing! Can't wait to come back when we aren't in a panic! Lol thank you Dean and thank you Patty!
