Comfortable and quaint cabin

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Cabin was ready upon our arrival. The owner was quick to respond and easy to communicate with. Quiet area, yet not too far from all the activities and Village. We made many of our own meals and the Kitchen is stocked with all the necessary pots/pans and utensils. And to be there when the area received it’s first snow of the winter was an added bonus! We will definitely be back!

Peaceful getaway

  • 5 of 5

When I booked this months ago, I assumed there would be snow. Lots of snow. Well, Big Bear is having an unusual season of no rain or snow!

Even without the snow we had a great time. Our first night in town, we went to a restaurant ( peppercorns) the service was so slow.. food was good though.. but they were so overwhelmed that afterwards we went to the grocery store and bought food to cook at the cabin. The grill worked great!! Along with the stove and oven. We brought our own coffee (there were filters there) it was so nice to sit in the living room by the fireplace to drink our coffee. If you are coffee drinkers-make sure you bring your coffee up and any sugar or creamer you may want. The cabin does have everything for cooking- but make sure you bring up your condiments- ketchup, mustard etc. Otherwise you'll be buying them at the store. Also make sure you bring up Ziploc bags, and plastic wrap- if you like using that. Otherwise you can buy some for a buck at Dollar Tree!(which I did) I left what I didn't use there, but I'm sure it will get quickly get used up. My husbands favorite part of the cabin was how it was backed into the national forest. And at anytime you could just walk out the back door for a nice little hike. Also the neighborhood is very quiet and people walking by with their dogs were very friendly. We had our 12 year old grandson with us,who did not do a whole lot, but he says he enjoyed it. Our black lab, Lily had a blast! She went on more walks there than at home! The beds were nice. It was great having 2 full bathrooms and a washer and dryer. I brought up our own laundry detergent knowing they had a laundry, i didn't have to pack so much! The tv downstairs was great. Bob has a drawer of movies, but since I recently purchased a Amazon Firestick, I hooked that on to the t.v. and we binged watch "Southland". I shopped at both Stater brothers and Vons but my favorite market was the closest to the cabin "Community Market" it is more pricey than the chain stores, but they had some nice hot food and decent prices for their meats. I think we stopped by there almost every day! We didn't do any snow activities. Instead, we walked around portions of the lake and did a Segway Tour. That was interesting!! Next time I would like to do the Zip line. So, if you are looking for a cabin that has 2 king beds - 2 balconies , nice grill, full kitchen along with a washer and dryer.. book this. You won't be sorry.

The place was nice. Had everything we needed for our stay. Liked that I was able to take a nature walk out the back of the house. Over all the experience was good.

Nice Cabin in a serene location

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay . It is pretty close to everything.

The cabin was clean though we had trouble with the TV, but it didn’t matter much to us because we were always out walking on the trails during the day and relaxing while reading by the fireplace at night.
