416 Ali'i condo was the best! Beautifully furnished and the view is to die for. Did a ton of exploring on the island, driving more that 500 miles, but coming home to this pristine abode each day may have been the highlight. Lanai has the prefect view. Bed is the most comfortable that I have slept in in years. Wood and tile is gorgeous. Will visit again for sure. Spend the the few extra bucks folks, it is well worth it.

Great Condo

We stayed for 8 nights in the condo and didn't want to leave. The lanai and views were to die for. The waves crashing ashore was a delight to sleep to. We watched turtles, surfers and the sunset most evenings. The condo was well appointed and spotlessly clean with everything you need for a wonderful stay. We didn't cook much but the kitchen seemed to have all the amenities. The bed was very comfortable and linens and towels were top quality. The pictures and description of the condo are spot on. Kona Bali Kai complex is located close to town and a very short drive to everything. I wouldn't say it was within walking distance to town but if you're adventurous enough it could be. Ali'i Drive can get busy and there are no sidewalks. The pool and pool deck needed some updating but there were signs posted stating construction was to begin soon. Da Poke Shack at KBK was a favorite along with Huggo's in town. Both had fantastic food. We didn't have any issues with our stay and hope to return someday. Just be aware the condo has no air conditioner and Kona can get very warm especially when the sun is setting. Lots of fans, the ocean breeze and a cold beverage helped plus it did cool down at night. Holly was a joy and extremely easy to work with. The process was flawless.

Surprisingly when we arrived at this condo we were totally shock that it was much better than the ad that is posted. We totally Enjoyed the condo and it was equipped with everything we needed. However there was no mention of the the NoSmoking Policy on your Private Balcony. Which leads me to say it made my time there very inconvenient to have to go downstairs to outside smoking area. Will not be returning here again. Beautiful place for Non smoker!

Owner's Response: Thank you for posting your review. I'm sorry that the experience was not what you were expecting or had hoped for overall however. My listing most definitely states "non-smokers only" and this is because the resort is a non-smoking resort, so smoking is only allowed 20 or more feet from the buildings and not in the buildings anywhere. I actually have never allowed smoking in my condo or on my lanai as the smoke blows inside the unit and causes an odor that is hard to get rid of due to all the wood interior walls, so I have always stated not only "no smoking", but actually non-smokers, just to avoid any unhappiness on either side. I'm sorry that you did not see that part of the listing overview. . . . it is there to help keep guests from staying in the wrong unit (resort) for their needs. Please check out the site listing if you'd like to confirm. The "non-smokers only" is also written on the actual lease agreement that is filled out and signed by all guests when booking as well. You can see that I do actually have that important information clearly stated in the two places where it would need to be for potential guests to be aware of the situation in regards to smoking in or around the condo, prior to booking. I'm sure that you will check on rules, etc. more carefully next time and find a more suited place for a completely good experience in the future! Aloha, Holly

Absolute Private Bliss!

When renting a condo for vacation, we are always hopeful that the place lives up to the expectation we build up in our minds. This condo exceeded our expectations! When we first walked in, we were overtaken by not only the coziness and nice design of the condo (it feels like a Hawaiian getaway!), but by the overwhelming sound of the ocean!

We couldn't believe how well stocked the place was - it was just like being at home! I was so impressed that the kitchen was stocked with nice plates and glasses, coffee maker, pots and pans - not cheap hand-me-down looking stuff! The were lots of towels, more than we needed. And having the washer and dryer there was great (by the way, this was the first time anyone actually supplied washing detergent for us! :)

Let's not forget to mention that amazing lanai! This was absolutely our favorite time on the island - just sitting out on the lanai, sipping on a drink, listening to those amazing waves.....ahhhhh! What a great spot to watch the surfers and the boat go by. We brought our own binoculars, but were surprised to find even a set of binoculars were supplied!

Holly was an absolute delight, and she was super attentive to any need that we had. I don't have a single complaint about our visit, and I miss being there already! I cried when it was time to leave the lanai, and that beautiful view. We definitely plan to return - thanks for making it such a relaxing, enjoyable time! :)

Our ocean front paradise

My husband and I were more than pleased with our condo. You couldn't get closer to the ocean and the rhythm of the waves. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. Everything imaginable included. It's location gave us the opportunity to easily explore the whole west side of the Island. Plus a tour to the Mauna Kea Summit.

Perfect choice!

We stayed for 10 days in late February 2016 and are so glad we made this choice. Excellent, central location and, most of all, modern fixtures (kitchen & bath) but with a lovely Hawaiian style. No plastic leis here, but beautiful wood ceiling & paneling, high quality bedding & towels.. Everything you need for a vacation like beach chairs, etc. is provided. Immaculately clean and quiet. We didn't take it but there is bus service right outside the complex. Easy access to snorkeling pick up point and to get to fun restaurants in like Annie's Burgers and Keei Cafe. (Unlike another reviewer, the unit is NOT showing any age issues! It couldn't have been better.)
