Tranquil, relaxing, wonderful home

  • 5 of 5

The minute my husband, son, and I pulled into the driveway and saw the beautiful landscaped yard and flowers we knew we were off to a great start. Entering the home we found a warm, bright, and incredibly designed home. The attention to every detail was fantastic. The view of the pond from the kitchen and family room- with the outside winding deck made for a perfect cup of coffee in the am inside or out. The birds and wild turkeys were fun to watch from the deck every day. The house is spotless and the kitchen had every amenity that was needed. There was plenty of space for the family to enjoy and entertain. Thanks to the owner for the binders of Chatham history and for sharing this lovely home.

Fantastic stay on the Cape

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect house for our group of 4 adults and 2 young children. It is spacious, bright, comfortable, quiet, private, and extremely well-maintained. We really appreciated the fully-equipped kitchen, provision of beach towels, and linens on request. As others have mentioned, the description and images provided are 100% accurate. The grounds are lovely, full of flowers and wild raspberries which we enjoyed picking and eating for breakfast - not to mention a beautiful view overlooking a pond. The deck area is perfect for barbeques, outdoor dining and just relaxing. We stayed for 2 weeks and it truly felt like home. We would definitely be interested in staying here again next time we visit the Cape.

Perfectly Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

As noted by other reviewers, this house is exactly as described. The view is first rate. My husband, mother, brother, and I very much appreciated the tranquil setting, beautiful landscaping, and the wildlife – deer, wild turkey, and various colorful birds. The house was very clean and the furnishings were very comfortable. It has a nicely designed deck and outdoor shower. It is a large house and our party of four adults had plenty of space. The location is very convenient – a quick drive to town and ice cream. This was the second time we have stayed at this house and we highly recommend it.

relaxation at its best

  • 5 of 5

Your driveway led to a house that very quickly became a home for the most relaxing week my wife and I, with my brother and his wife, have ever enjoyed together on the Cape. Settling in for our stay was as easy as stepping through the door. It's a big, well-built and well-maintained house, warm and comfortable--inviting. Its setting is an extension of the house itself, offering privacy and a charming pond vista. A large deck area all but insists on outdoor dining, for all meals. Close enough to a major town, with its many attractions, and to a choice of beaches, it's convenient. And, at the end of a fun-filled day, it's a house to come home to. The four of us thank you!

Extraordinary place and home! Very quiet and relaxing.

  • 5 of 5

Description on VRBO is 100% accurate.

We were here during one short week in July 2015: my wife and me (early 50), our son (20) and our daughter (15). We are a French family and stayed here after a 3 weeks road-trip in Quebec and USA.

The house is really fantastic. It's big, well designed, extremely comfortable, impeccable in every details. High quality materials and furnitures have been used. One small criticism though: the small cathode-Ray tube TV is old fashioned.

High-speed Internet with efficient wifi is provided.

Air conditioning works perfectly in case outside temperature gets too high.

The master bedroom on the ground floor and the living rooms are huge and have a superb view through picture windows on the garden and a small pond.

What a pleasure to observe deer at nightfall walking in the garden! To hear birds of many kinds singing when having breakfast on the large and lovely wooden terrace.

The kitchen is big and equipped with all you need.

We had great barbecue dinner.

We enjoyed the outside shower in the garden.

It's a very pleasant place to live, and to spend your vacation in. You really feel at home.

It's a great family place, but could work for 6 adults as well: in addition to the master bedroom (with en suite bathroom) on the ground floor, there are 2 other large bedrooms upstairs sharing another bathroom.

The owner Earle lives in another house around (at approximately 500 feet): it's very convenient.

Conclusion: we highly recommend this house that we were all so sad to leave. Really.
