About Jeanette Seymour
As a family living and working on a rural farm, we built this wonderful cottage which is next door (100yds) to our family home. The location of this site is so scenic and as a family we enjoy the local amenities of Lough Derg and enjoy visitors to this area. My husband Stephen is a farmer and we have three children aged 15, 12 and 7. You will not be disappointed with the local area as it is strategically located with many fantastic villages and towns nearby e.g. Terryglass, Ballycommon, Dromineer, Portumna, Nenagh to name but a few.
Jeanette Seymour purchased this Cottage in 2010
Why Jeanette Seymour chose Dromineer
Gort na gCapall Cottage is also accessibble from Shannon, Dublin or Cork airport. Dublin airport the country's largest airport is 2 hrs from us and Shannon International is located just 1 hrs drive from us.

Home away from home!
Great location. Owners are so nice. We loved seeing the cows out back every day. We were out touring a lot but loved coming home to our home away from home! Very large, tastefully decorated home!
Lovely property. Perfect hosts! The only reason we did not give Gort Na gCapall a 5 star is that we felt the kitchen supplies could use some updating. Pots and pans were a bit lacking. Additional Utensils for cooking were needed. Would certainly recommend this cottage to anyone! We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings.
Amazing house and Beautiful area
The property is absolutely beautiful we really enjoyed our stay. Incredibly comfortable house stocked with everything you need. Only 10minutes drive up to the town with everything in it you need. Owners lovely and really helpful. Everything was made easy and enjoyable.
A Peaceful Stay in a Lovely Home
We had a great winter stay here for 4 nights in January. The home is very spacious and well appointed as the pictures show. The location was perfect for rambling about the Tipperary countryside, with pubs/food nearby and also easy access to the M7 for further out destinations and Shannon airport. Jeanette was very friendly and quick to respond. Take the nice walk along the Nenagh River, which runs through the Seymour farm.
We picked to come back and stay here again!
We stayed here 4 years ago and have been waiting for the day to come back again. As always it is so beautiful and perfectly set up for two families with children ranging in age from 4-18! We are so thankful for this place and the time it allows us to spend with friends!
Beautiful cottage in North Tipperary
This was an exceptional holiday rental! It was much bigger than expected and was fitted out with quality fixtures and fittings. The photos don't do it justice, it is even better than it looks. The upstairs bedroom suite is like an apartment on it's own. Beautiful decor with everything that you could want for our two week stay. The area is very quiet, set on a farm, with the owners next door if needed. Great hosts and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is only a couple of Kms from Ballycommon with a local shop/petrol station and a great pub /restaurant The Thatched Cottage. Dromineer, and Garrykennedy both on Lough Derg are within easy driving distance with a great pub for eating and drinking. A little further away is Terryglass, again on the Lough with 2 great pubs. The local town of Nenagh is about a 10 minute drive with central shops and supermarkets, including a big Tesco.
We had an amazing holiday here, would recommend highly for a group or family as there is plenty of space. Lots to see of the cows, and lovely views over the fields.
Lovely quiet area away from the tourist trail, not for those seeking nightlife and entertainment.
A great fairly central location for seeing other areas of Ireland. Galway, The Ring of Kerry etc only being a couple of hours drive away. Close to the Silvermine Mountains, Arra Mountains and the best view we found of Lough Derg on the way to Ballina/Killaloe close to the Millenium cross. We will go back without a doubt.
Hi Sarah & Martin,

Hope that you will make a return visit some day.
Kindest regards Jeanette, Stephen & Family.
