We hope to retire down to this house some day.

What makes this house unique

Very quiet, established neighborhood makes for relaxing mornings waterside and some of the most calm water in north Idaho.

Guestbook comments from the owner

What a wonderful spot! We had such a relaxing time and enjoyed every minute. The fish teased quite a bit, only caught a few but sent them back. Enjoyed watching the action up and down the river on the weekend. the house is perfect and the beds are so comfy. Great sleeping!! We are already planning to come back next year. Thanks for everything.

Would stay here again and recommend to a friend, if you enjoy watching the sunset this property is for you. The only draw back we experienced was with our tottler who needed constant attention around the deck area.

Great Family Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this property for a week and it was very comfortable, relaxing and fun! The house is well appointed with everything you could possibly need. We had friends come and stay for a couple of days with their trailer and they were quite comfortable as they had their own spot in the RV parking with full hookups. My parents, myself and my two kids really enjoyed staying here as it was a beautiful spot! The river is amazing! The deck area and dock offers a wonderful spot to sit and relax, watch the fish, the passing boaters, and amazing sunsets! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Chris was great and very accommodating. Thanks for a great stay!

Fantastic!!!

  • 5 of 5

Let me start by saying we had the BEST vacation while staying here! I traveled with my husband and two adult kids. The place was a home away from home and was very clean and well appointed. There wasn't anything we needed for the week that wasn't there. There was a great BBQ and lots of water toys etc and outside furniture. The location is easy to find and very quiet with lots of parking for vehicles and a motorhome/fifth wheel. The river is beautiful and more like a lake than a river! The water was warm and inviting with a nice little beach area which had cement steps into the water. The water was deep off the dock so if you had a boat it would have been fabulous. There was fishing right off the dock although the boys didn't catch as much as they hoped....good thing we weren't counting on them to feed us! Chris was extremely easy to deal with and very friendly and helpful. Our damage deposit was returned very quickly. I honestly can't think of one negative thing. We hope to make it an annual trip! Thanks again!

We had a great stay on the beautiful river. The house, facilities andsurroundings were perfect.

  • 5 of 5

The house and pier setting and river views/access were perfect. We sat on the river deck and watched the spectacular water-reflected sunsets. The accommodations in the house and river views were unsurpassed. The rural neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. Exploring the nearby communities and points-of-interest was a great experience too. Shopping and restaurants/pubs are very close to the house. We hope to return next year.

4th of July vacation

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful water front vacation home! We absolutely loved our stay here. We were literally right on the water, and the dock allowed us to moor our boat right there the entire time. The water was excellent most days...got a little breezy in the afternoons but that is when we did our tubing. 4th of July fireworks in the little town of Priest River was really quite spectacular and we were pleasantly surprised that such a tiny town would have the budget for it. The house is just a fourth of a mile down the river from town and the fireworks were displayed over the water, so at 9:30 pm, we hopped in the boat, drove up the river a short distance and took in all the excitement.

The place is very quiet and even though neighbors are close by on both sides, the trees and vegetation allow a lot of privacy. There was a shady, grassy area to play croquet too! Plenty of parking for the boat trailer and our three vehicles.

Grocery shopping was close and it allowed us to prepare and eat most of our meals at the home. The kitchen is very large and adequately stocked with all the necessary items. And the last evening we were there, we ate at a great little Mexican restaurant there in town.

Some of the things we loved…

The fire pit was awesome and since there were plenty of lawn chairs, we sat around the fire and visited, roasted hotdogs and marshmallows a couple of nights.

The sandy beach area for our little grandson was great. He loved playing in the water and with the gradual drop, we were able to walk out into the water with him.

The BBQ’r was wonderful and we used it several times while we were there.

We loved the large picnic table on the front deck. It allowed our family of 7 plus the grandbaby to comfortably eat all our meals outdoors.

Lots of comfortable lounge chairs on the lower deck with a wonderful shade tree that didn’t block the incredible views.

Pretty comfortable beds. We opted not to use the “Bunk House” which is actually a trailer, but luckily, we’d brought along a blow up bed. It was cozy with 7 adults and a baby, but we loved it and would definitely stay there again.

Chris was very nice and very responsive. Super easy to work with and we appreciated that so much.

WOW!

  • 5 of 5

This place is in a beautiful, majestic, mountain area right on the Pend Orielle River. Everything in the home is provided except the food (linens, bedding, etc.). This is a home away from home. The deck is overlooking the river and it is a wonderful place to play on the water. My family had a wonderful time, and their are local restaraunts if you want to go out to dinner. You can bring your boat and launch it in Priest River at the public boat launch, and there is plenty of room to park your rig and boat trailer at the home. There is also an RV site that I parked my 34 ft Montana 5th wheel at for other guests to use while we stayed for the week. Rent this place, you won't be disappointed if you are looking for a water sports getaway on a private place in the mountains of north Idaho.
