Charming, comfortable and quiet flat, very lightly and spacious. With two bedrooms one toilette and one salle de bain.
Next to the historical and famous place la Bastille this flat is surrounded by many shops and stores are close to the apartment : Bakery, Butchery, Supermarket, Open air Market rue d'Aligre, Theater, Restaurant, Cafe, Club, Laundromat, Doctor, Drugstore, Hospital. 90 square meters 4th floor with elevator and then one floor by stairs inside the flat.

This roomy apartment was full of antiques , stained glass and natural lighting. If you ever wanted to live how the french live, this is your place! The owner, Marietta, met us at the apartment. The place was super clean. She had a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge along with a cake from the local Boulanger and beautiful fresh flowers. Marietta went above and beyond what is expected of a landlord in my book! She has taken the time to make up her own little guide book of local amenities and information, which we used. Very organized! The apartment has everything you could need. The wifi gets slow if you have more than one person on it at a time.The flat is located on the top floor, but you do have an elevator! It's a small elevator , but it works just fine. Location is great! Metro stop and grocery store are a block away. Interesting thing, though. The apartment is very quite! You don't hear any street noises at all, until you are on street level and out of the gate! I would recommend this flat to friends and family for sure. One little bonus for me was the piano! It was tuned and sounded great! Played piano everyday!
The apartment was everything you could hope for in a Paris apartment (assuming you want quick access to everything without the cost of being right in the center of it the Marais). It is very quiet. Well-equipped kitchen. Close to shops, restaurants, Metro stations and bus lines, and the Gare de Lyon rail station. Several supermarkets within a short walking distance. Solid wifi. Telephone available, which can used for international calls.
The owners were great. Met us on arrival. Called us a cab on departure. The beds were comfortable. The metro close by. Only complaint was a neighbor smoking, which was NOT Patricia's responsibility as all signs say no smoking in the building.
One caveat, the stairs are not workable for those with physical limitations.
In an interesting and village-like neighborhood, with all amenities. The owners were very accommodating about meeting us on arrival and calling a cab on departure, and arranging for cleaning. The apartment is spacious and quiet, and quite cultured, as well as close to shops, restaurants, Metro stations and bus lines, and the Gare de Lyon rail station. Very clean, in an elevator building. We would recommend this apartment.
This charming apartment is located in the eastern part of the 12th arrondissemont, which contains no major tourist attractions, but is a lively, typically Parisian neighborhood. (And a short walk to the Marais.) There are a number of excellent restaurants nearby as well as the highly-rated Aligre market and one of the best boulangeries just across the street (yum!) There are also several excellent supermarkets within a short walking distance for those who wish to take advantage of the well-equipped kitchen in the apartment, or just stock up on breakfast items or snacks.
The apartment itself is spacious and comfortably furnished with plenty of storage space. Some reviewers have commented on the firmness of the bed(s) in the second bedroom but our guests found them comfortable. Another positive aspect of the apartment is that it is very quiet, considering it is in the heart of a busy city.
The hosts were friendly and helpful, eager to provide information on transportation, restaurants, etc. And any questions or minor problems were addressed immediately. In addition to the available wi-fi, there is a telephone which can even be used for international calls (within certain limits.)
We have been to Paris a number of times and when we come back again we would love to return to this apartment!
The flat was lovely. Very clean and comfortable but the best part of this rental were the owners....Mariette and her husband did a wonderful job explaining the many things to do in the neighborhood and we were not disappointed when we tried the recommended restaurants. The flat is centrally located within walking distance of the Metro and 2 blocks from Gare de Lyon. Mariette went out of her way to try to assist us with a problem we encountered with my daughters Paris internship rental and for that we are most grateful. Merci beaucoup Mariette! We hope to see you again soon....
Three of us (sisters and sister-in-law) stayed in the charming flat for 8 nights. The apartment is beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture, a wide assortment of books and lovely original art. It was a welcoming refuge after a busy day of museums, walking and shopping. The location is convenient and it was an easy walk to the heart of Paris and very close to the Metro. The gracious owners provide a helpful guide to the neighborhood|: restaurants, shopping, Aligre Market, and, best of all, wonderful patisseries and boulangeries.
I am recommending this flat to friends and family and would be thrilled to return myself.
