About The Owner

My 19 year old son and I purchased this home for summer vacations and off-season weekends. We enjoy the home's close location to the beach, lakes and downtown Rehoboth. We hope others can enjoy it and the Coastal Delaware area as much as we do.

The Owner purchased this house in 2003

Why The Owner chose Rehoboth Beach

Since we live in a busy, urban neighborhood in Washington DC, we wanted a location that was quiet but close enough to walk to the beach and ride our bikes to downtown Rehoboth. The beauty of the two nearby lakes was also a huge draw.

What makes this house unique

Large Screened Porch on Second Level in trees. You can hear the waves from ocean and wildlife on Silver Lake during quiet nights.

Just Perfect and completely comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

I grew up in Md, and we used to summer/fall it in Rehoboth Beach, De but now we live in SC and it's harder to visit as much as we used to. I still love and miss the town and so I was very lucky to be able to rent this beautiful home at a great rate this year. We stayed pretty much the first week of June (6-13) and my family and I were extremely pleased with it all. It's in a perfect location, and very easy walking distance to/from the beach. The home was nicely layed out, the beds were comfortable and the rooms nice and spacious(also plenty of closet and dresser space, just remember to bring hangers for the closets). It was a ladies week that worked out very nicely and everyone that stayed with us throughout the week (we had guests that switched off days) commented on what a nice home it was, perfect spot, etc. We all liked it very much and were very sorry that our week went by so fast! :)

We had perfect weather while we were there and we all enjoyed the lovely sun porch morning and night. One thing to note, while there are no pictures of the two bathrooms that are there they were also nice. Each had a half bath (bottom floor it was a shower/tub combo, and the top floor was a standing shower) and they both had plenty of drawer/storage space for towels and bathroom stuff. Also want to point out that while we never used it for the bed, the couch you see in the living room was very cozy and did have a pull out bed. I did take a few naps just on the couch itself, no need to pull out the bed. 😊 I also want to state (since some will want to know) that the home itself inside and out was very clean and nicely maintained. It also had a good size parking in front/side of the home for at least 3 cars.

All in all, we greatly enjoyed our trip, the home itself, beautiful Rehoboth Beach/Silver Lake community and if we didn't live so far away in SC, would come back to this house again and again. I want to give a big thank you to the owners for allowing us to stay at your lovely home and I also want to give the rental agent we worked with from Berkshire Hathaway in conjunction with this property a thank you as well for being very easy to do buisness with and very helpful in everything we would need from start to finish. Everybody who looks at this house don't pass it up or over because it is a great find! Thanks again! 😊☺️

P.S. The home does have wifi too that works very nicely if you or any family members need high speed internet.

Relaxing vacation home near the beach

  • 5 of 5

This house was a great find! The house is very accomadating for families with young children or young adults. We found the bedrooms to ample in size, plenty of closet space with very comfortbale beds. Being in the hospitality buisness, I am always concerned about rentals when it comes to kitchens. It is well equipped with all one needs to prepare meals for the family. The refrigerator even has an ice maker, a very important feature for a beach rental! The house is a short walk to the beach, easily manageable and the beach was extremely clean and not very crowded. For those who do not want to drive into Rehoboth, check out the Jolly Trolley that stops only a block away! Our favorite room was the screened in porch - we spent a majority of our evenings out side enjoying the night! We have already reserved a week for next summer! Don't pass this one up - it is in a prime location!

Weekend at the Beach

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 stayed at the house, with my parents. It was perfect for our needs, it is spacious, and very well presented. We particularly enjoyed sitting out on the covered porch in the mornings with our coffee.....

It is a short walk or bike to the beach, which is a very pretty beach, and perfect for flying kites. My kids loved it. And of course, its proximity to Rehoboth Beach made it easy for going to dinner, if you don't want to cook. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

An excellent choice for two or ten!

  • 5 of 5

This property is convenient to Rehoboth Town, and perhaps a couple hundred yards from Silver Lake and, beyond that, the ocean. Wild birds, mallards and parrots, are everywhere. It is situated in a more settled part of the community. The house itself has two levels, three sleeping bedrooms, bath, laundry, downstairs, spacious and well designed living room, fireplace, kitchen upstairs. Oh and did I mention the deck?

The owner has furnished the kitchen thoroughly with cookware, whether looking for a simple meal or more exotic baking needs. The house has been newly refurbished, and evident care has been taken into the accommodations and their upkeep.

I love this house for a whole host of reasons. First, it's VERY spacious and comfortable. We had seven people staying in the house, and the open floor plan (on the main floor), bedrooms, kitchen and huge deck meant we were never tripping over each other. The second thing going for this house is its proximity to the beach. It's about a 10 min walk, and you can literally hear the waves crashing from the deck. Third, while the neighborhood is walking distance to downtown, it's really tucked away--affording you a real sense of privacy away from all the traffic and noise. Bottom line, I'm a BIG fan and would highly recommend this house. It's perfect for a group of friends or families with kids.
