Dolly’s Visit in Harlem
This was a very pleasant experience. Janet was an accommodating and lovely host. She had the fridge stocked with milk, juice, delicious homemade cookies, cereal etc. Location was ideal. Loved it. Dolly
We love guests like you; so energetic and knowledgable. Thanks for the tip on the jazz club Harlem Blues! I've added it to my neighborhood guide for future guests. We look forward to your next visit!
So comfortable - like home:)
This was an amazing experience - close to the subway and right across from a cool Lighthouse seafood takeout restaurant. Janet was so amazing and accommodating:))). Love it here!
And we loved having you! The pleasure of watching enthusiastic explorers like you discover our town is a big part of the reason we host. I do hope you return soon.
A perfect accommodation option
From my initial enquiry through to departure day, everything was perfect. Our accommodation arrangements were a little complicated but nothing phased Janet. She responded quickly to any questions and was always available if we needed anything. We were caught up in the July blackout and Janet sent a text message to make sure we were ok and could get home. As for the apartment, the location is fantastic, right near two major bus routes and 4 subway lines (another two within a 10 minute walk).
Easy access to lots of food options and amenities, literally across road or 7 blocks down on 125th, which is an easy 10 minute stroll. Having cooking and laundry facilities was a godsend, as was the air conditioning, given we were staying in July and the heat and humidity was high. Being in Harlem gave us a very local experience of New York and that was great. I have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation and hope I get to come back again one day. Thanks Janet!
You were one of those rare guests with so much curiosity, enthusiasm, and keen awareness that you discovered things about New York that even I didn’t know! You were a joy to host, and I do hope to see you again soon.
Nice stay, like in your own home.
The kindly Janet received us and showed up everything in the house. All you need is present. We appreciated the washing/drying machines, if you use them rightly, you never need to iron after. Moving around kitchen and cooking is easy. Plenty of bath's towels. There are two small bookcases for every reading need especially on New York, besides on architecture, photography, cinema, art, as well as literature. Market, Bus Stop, Subway Stazions close to the apartement.
It was such a pleasure to host you here in Harlem! Whenever we met on the street or in the doorway, we were delighted to see the smiles on your faces and your warm, upbeat manner. We enjoyed your company enormously and we do hope to see you again.
We just returned from seven days and could not be more pleased with this accommodation. Janet and Tom are great hosts providing a clean, classy and very comfortable apartment. The history and culture of Harlem was a bonus. Getting around by transit is easy with subway stations a short walk away. Janet provides some fresh food to get you started and the apartment is well stocked. I highly recommend this VRBO and will definitely stay here again for our next NYC adventure.
You were astounding guests that knew more of Harlem’s history than I did! I can’t wait for your return, so that I can learn more.
Nice place to stay
A bit expensive, but NY is NY.
We were delighted to have you as guests and do hope we will see you again.
